Very unique microbrewery in the Norris Dam state park. Very popular with hikers and bikers enjoying the beautiful East Tennessee outdoors. After an easy hike with daughter, grandson and son in law stopped here for a quick bite and a craft brew. I got the buffalo wings. Daughter got Kimchee wings. Son in law the buffalo chicken sandwich and grandson the plain old burger. you order at the counter and they let you taste samples of the craft brews. I chose one of the IPAs. But the kicker and why we went back twice is the food. Who would have thunk that a bit of Big Easy could be found in Tennessee's Appy Mountains? Wonderful shrimp and grits floating in a rich roux. We were here staying in an Airbnb near Sharps Chapel, Tennessee. Just north of Norris Lake and found this place very close to the Norris Dam. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was very busy. They had indoor and outdoor seating plenty of parking both on the premises and across the street. This is located right on the clinch River. The beer itself was decent. I had a flight. They have several styles on tap, including Stout's IPA, sours and honey wheats. I rated the beers slightly above what I typically rate breweries at. They do serve food. We had the rainbow trout fish dip, which was tasty. Very relaxed atmosphere. Located on the side of the hill and the beautiful hills of Tennessee. read more

Atmosphere is family friendly, pleasant music, also noted that outdoors is dog friendly. I ordered the Blackened Grilled Chicken sandwich and it was phenomenal, others in my group had the hamburger and BBQ sandwich- all were very good. All the food seems of higher quality and has unique flavors. We all picked "potato salad" as our side- to me this is not actual potato salad, but was the best roast potatoes I have ever had; they have a unique glaze as well. 3/9/2025 - Sunday night they unexpectedly closed the kitchen around 7pm (40min before sunset!) and were turning people away from the food line because 'they had a very busy day and the kitchen staff were tired'. Luckily after being screwed a few times I had already picked up takeout in town and was only there for a quick beer. Can't say enough great things about this place. For some reason I was just expecting 'fine', but what we got was FINE. I'm 68, been to 48 states and a couple dozen countries. Best Swiss burger I've ever had. Best IPA I've ever had. Best potatoes I've ever had (they call it potato salad/side, but it's amazing roasted potatoes with green onions and a buttery/mayo very light dressing/coating). Service was top notch from the two lovely young ladies. Inside room was clean and sharp. Two outdoor areas were spacious and relaxing. Great music playing. A few TV's. Lots of beers. Tried a couple of flights and loved them all but one (the Mexican lager-type). Wound up buying a growler (I forgot to bring ours) and brought home more IPA. The food and beer are always wonderful. We love the amber and the regular beer. Chicken wings are and have always been fabulous. The kimchi brining process does something special to these wings. Since the ownership has changed, we don't feel as welcomed as we did before. We have been going here ever since it opened, but there's something there that feels off. I introduced myself to one of the new owners and told him how much we love CRB. He wasn't real impressed and kind of said thanks and moved on. First I would like to say the owners (I believe bill was one of them and his wife im sorry I forgot her name) are absolutely amazing. They really know how to make the customer happy and both have great customer oriented attitudes. And because of this people will come back solely for this experience alone. They have an upstairs with tvs, lounge area and full service bar as well. The food is also just as great as the service! Brisket was cooked perfectly - not dry. Savory is the best word for this brisket and the cook should feel good knowing he's providing an insane product. The fries were perfectly crispy and salty the breadsticks just the right amount of salt and the beer cheese compliments the side exceptionally. If you like grits, I mean good southern style old school how grandma used to make them grits this place has them. They were cooked nicely through and through and each bite was never plain. Their Who Dat crispy chicken sandwich is excellent. It comes out as a dark and thick kimchi marinated chicken thigh on a brioche bun that makes you think it may be overcooked and tough, but nooooo! It is plump, juicy and flavorful. The sandwich comes with a slice of cheese, a chili sauce some lettuce and pickles and a side for fries and ketchup. The fries have some seasoning and are crisp and tasty. The smoked trout dip is really good and served with a light cracker. The I'll Be Dammed beer is a really tasty brew and I wish I had more than one of those. Outdoors dining is dog friendly with a koi pond and some live entertainment the evening we went. As the place is a bit off the main path, it seems it has mainly a local following and patronage. read more

About 10 minutes off of 75 outside of Knoxville is this little guy, tucked away inside a beautiful state park. I can't say enough about Clinch. Their beers are fairly diverse and reflective of a carefully adventurous (that's right) approach to brewing. The building is neat and has a convenient location relative to Norris Park. The food menu--that's the thing. A lot of breweries try to bring game to the menu but CRB nails it. Quality design, quality ingredients, quality craftsmanship. Note that CRB is only about 30 minutes north of Knoxville, too...it's a reasonable drive for a small shop that is bursting with awesome. read more

We have been living in the area since 2018 and always loved coming to this place. However, since 2021 they are consistently and incredulously unreliable when it comes to their hours. We live in Knoxville so it's a bit of a drive to come out here - five times now we have made the drive to come out and they have been closed when they were supposed to be open. By this I mean I called them day of and they mentioned they're "open all day until close" but we show up at 6pm on a Sunday on June 16th and they are closed. Honestly it used to be a great spot but there are so many others around that have reliable hours. Allegedly I was last told they're only open on weekends since covid but this was the second time in JUNE (tourist season) this was not true. Honestly so sad and disappointed but ya we won't be back - go spend your money where they are reliably open that is what we did tonight (and previous times). Not coming back. read more

I've been here a few times, and the service was always very slow. Their demeanor isn't very good either. It's very loud in the indoor dining room, which is to be expected in a brewery. The outside and upstairs dining areas are much nicer, though. Sometimes they have live music outside. How unexpected to find such a cool spot tucked right outside the state park! We stopped in for a late lunch after taking our son to see Norris Dam. My husband ordered the Tall, Dark, & Belgian. I'm not big on dark beers, but actually really liked this one! Great sandwiches too. My favorite thing we tried was the pan roasted vegetables with grits and goat cheese. I'm not even a vegetarian, and this dish was AMAZING. There is a nice patio in addition to the indoor seating. This place is definitely off the beaten path, but make a day of it and visit the park too! Good food, good beer, and good atmosphere.
