Our waitress Rebecca was so friendly and helpful! She told me how people order the Salmon Avocado Salad all day long so I just had to give it a try. Rebecca told me that they were out of avocado so she gave me the option to choose something else. To accommodate me, Rebecca allowed me to get the sweet potato to replace the avocado. I had my eye on the baked sweet potato before I placed my order and was torn when I gave it up to order the salad. God must have heard my disappointment because being able to get both the salad and the sweet potato was a blessing in disguise! The salmon was cooked to perfection and the portions had me so full I couldn't eat it all (even though I tried!) Everything was so scrumptious that the pictures don't do it justice! Came from out of town. Saw it had a 3.9 review. Staff member was nice so no problems there. Mainly it's the food. My son order the "Jumbo" hot wings. I was quite surprised that 1 they were not jumbo and 2 that were not even sauced. They give you a cup of your flavor. Idk it's just me but a good hot wing is tossed in the sauce so it gets that flavor. They were fried ok and the sauce was meh. My friend had the pot roast. This stuff has been sitting in a pot since 11am. It was tasteless and mushy. The green beans are canned and the potatoes unseasoned. I got a homemade pot pie..... Homemade you say?!?! Absolutely not! They use canned chicken and filling was not homemade. It tasted like progresso soup chicken and dumplings. Of course it was not really a pie just a puff pastry that was flavorless on top. That should be buttery and flakey but fell way short. Don't say it's homemade when clearly it is not. You can't use a rotisserie chicken???? I mean you can't use just run to Walmart to put some effort into it. Overall the rating is way too high. 3.9 on yelp and an amazing 4.3 on google. My wife and were passing through town on a roadtrip and Harrison's was across the street from hotel. I got the chicken penne pasta and wife the Buffalo chicken sandwich with sauce on the side. The pasta was cooked well and, while the chicken was cooked, it did not appear to be grilled in any form or fashion. There was about 1/2 cup too much sauce in the bowl and it tasted a lot like a jarred Ragu Creamy Alfredo type sauce. It tasted fine but... The chicken sandwich tasted good - deep fried chicken I'd guess went from freezer to fryer. I asked for a sample taste of one of the local beers and the server couldn't do it. I ordered the beer and, well, it was not my favorite.. too sweet. I'd maybe go back for convenience after a long day driving but not as a destination... sorry. read more

The good: the staff was very friendly and checked on us a decent amount of times. It's very conveniently located, we walked from our hotel. We were quickly seated and given a basket of rolls which were good. The bad: the food was awful and the prices were outrageous, especially considering the quality. The place somehow smelled like cigarette smoke despite the "no smoking" signs. We ordered: Potato skins - clearly frozen to oven and overcooked. Terrible. Waste of $10. Pasta - they offered three pastas, all the same basic recipe and ingredients with a variety of meat. Terrible. I suspect it's ragu or some other canned sauce and the ratio of add-ins to noodles was ridiculous. It's called "spicy" but this white girl didn't even taste pepper. HUGE waste of $17. Cheeseburger - the burger was actually good but the fries were so overcooked they were inedible. IF we ever came back, would reorder but get a different side. Kids meal chicken tenders- thankfully the fries weren't overcooked because the chicken tenders were soooo salty. My son wouldn't eat them and he is the least picky child you'll ever meet. My folks and I tried this place Sunday after mass and it was just bad. As soon as you walk in, you are hit with the stench of the bathroom, which is a mix of neglect and not enough cleaner. The staff was great and sat us right away. We were put in a booth that had seats absolutely covered in stains, after looking around, all of the booth seats were covered in stains. I ordered a hamburger medium rare and my mother got nachos while my father also got the burger well done. Both of our burgers came well done and chewy and my mothers nacho meat was ice cold. The waitress reacted perfectly, accepted responsibility and took the burger off the bill. My mother got her nachos remade and after finishing them, told me she could make this twice as good at home for half the price. I order the pot roast very tender and a good taste,but there could have had a little more gravy for the mashed potatoes they were a little dry. The pasta salad was good. A great sit down restaurant with a variety of food choices. Anywhere from chicken to shrimp is to steaks. We were immediately seated upon entering. The service was exceptional, high quality food and we didn't have to wait long for our order. The only reason behind the 4 star and not 5 is there childrens menu could have been better. One of our entrees was the smothered chicken which was delicious! The BBQ ribs were tender but just shy of "fall off the bone" - which is exactly how my hubby likes them. The Holiday Inn Express recommended this place for dinner after we checked in. I have never had a more welcoming experience and such friendly staff all around. I ordered the post roast with sweet potatoes and macaroni & cheese. It was so nice to have a great "home-cooked" meal after a long day on the road. Even the rolls brought to the table tasted homemade as well! Restaurant was clean and the young lady cleaning up after a family left, not only swept the floor and wiped the table, she was on the floor under the table, wiping down the base of the table. The way I was treated by the staff was enough to give a 5 star review, but the food really made the visit even better. I have a dairy & soy allergy, and I asked the waitress for an allergen menu. While they didn't have that, they did have the manager come out and ask how she could help. I'm so used to going somewhere where the staff get so annoyed when I mention an allergy, and they have to do special accommodations. The manager on duty was incredibly helpful, and made sure we could figure out something I could safely eat. I ended up getting grilled chicken tenders, fries and a baked potato (because I didn't want to bother her with more crazy questions about sides haha). It was SO yummy! We were a little hesitant/unsure when we walked in - wasn't sure what we were getting into, but we were pleasantly surprised by the food and service. "T-Bell" was a our waitress and she was amazing. So friendly, honest, pleasant, helpful and patient. She took really good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. I heard her joking with another server that was leaving that she had been there since 9:30am... It was 9:30 PM at that time. Definitely couldn't tell that she had worked a 12 hour shift... When we complimented her on the way out she mentioned that she lived an hour away but loved the restaurant. Couldn't believe that she was in such a good mood having worked such a long shift knowing she had an hour drive ahead of her. The three of us (my husband and I + our nephew) all did not enjoy our food. Could get a lot better for $70 as the fish looked like it was fried with chicken batter, the broccoli tasted like chemicals (everyone agreed with me on that, hard to make broccoli inedible but Harrison's does the trick i guess!) the burger was barely mediocre, and my roast was all fat with what tasted like dollar store canned gravy slathered all over it. Thought we'd have one decent place to eat in this town but everything tasted like farts and I still miss that sweet sweet $70 I paid months ago. Sigh. The service is great and extremely fast. Our waitress couldn't have been nicer and efficient. The establishment is clean and has a very basic decor. The food is diner style and you get your fix but it won't be your favorite go to place. The prices are reasonable and it's the perfect place to bring your kids. They would love it. I tried the spicy chicken and shrimp pasta. It's tasty and a large portion. On Tuesday they have a burger special and we also tried it. It's your basic burger but filling. So if your tired of driving on the Hwy and your staying at the hotels right next door, this is an easy meal. read more

One time, I feel like they came every 5-10 minutes. The atmosphere is nice, it's calm and the restaurant isn't really loud and not very loud music. The outdoor seating is really nice, too.
