I give credit to anyone working on a holiday. I rarely stop for breakfast but as I had been stopping at Wawa the last few days, I decided to see if any place was open on Thanksgiving Day, during my drive from Chattanooga, TN to Richmond, IN. I saw a lot of Hardee's stores on I-40 around Knoxville and then, there didn't seem to be any more of them. When this one came along, I decided to try it. I was surprised to find that this was the same town where Zaxby's was, where I stopped a week ago on Thursday before spending the night in Chattanooga. Hardee's has the tastiest fast food, as far as I'm concerned, so it shouldn't surprise that the new Rib-eye steak, egg, and cheese was enjoyable. For $4.89 + $0.48 tax, I got the biscuit, small hash rounds, and an orange juice. It was not a tiny breakfast sandwich but of course, it seems a lot for breakfast, doesn't it? I really was surprised that the employees were friendly and they had a constant line at the drive-thru, so they got no holiday. The tables needed to be cleaned a bit, but it was about 4.5 hours since they opened. Were they busy all that time so that they couldn't get to the dining room? I doubt it. read more

Breakfast is ok but everything else sucks!! I don't know how they stay in business. They need to serve breakfast all day.

They gave me a moldy sandwhich, which I already ate half of before I realized I was eating straight mold.

The service was good, my order was just right. The inside was clean and a good atmosphere. Restroom very clean.

I love Hardee's food, but they do need to work on one thing, not letting employee stand at the door and smoke as you're getting ready to walk in to go eat I have no problem with people taking smoke breaks, but don't stand right in front of the door please. read more

My wife and I went in to order to go breakfast. I immediately noticed the warming bin was packed full of food. in retrospect, this was a warning that things were probably made a while ago and just sitting. I ordered a Frisco Ham breakfast combo, and my wife ordered a sausage biscuit combo. it took a while to get our order, which was weird since bin was full. We then left and got back on expressway. that's when we discovered our order was wrong. My wife's was close, she received a sausage egg biscuit. What I received was terrible. two pieces of cold bread, not grilled...with a cold egg cold piece of sausage, and no cheese. I figured we were down the expressway at this point, so might as well eat it. TRIED....I took a bite of the abomination I was given and gagged immediately. Whole thing was just garbage, and that's where it went...into the trash. My wife's biscuit sandwich was warm, not hot...but at least it was edible once the egg was removed that she didnt want. Hashbrowns were decent. I will certainly avoid this location in the future, I suggest you do the same. This location could use some better management and some training on making food correctly and bagging correct orders. Total failure here. read more

Out of several things on the menu each time I've come. This time they're out of chicken and ketchup. What burger joint runs out of ketchup? Last time they were out of ham and said the only thing they could make was from the fryer that wasn't chicken (over an hour before close). I'm perplexed as to how this Hardee's maintains its franchise. Or maybe these are somehow independently owned. I've gone by this place probably once a month for over a year. On most occasions I leave without getting anything because when I ask for something-they don't seem to have it. I order a drink...they are out of that drink. I order a chicken sandwich they don't have any chicken..either grilled or crispy. Usually I go through the drive through and when I do get something go, it's almost never what I ordered. Tonight I walk in, order a BBQ sandwich and the guy says..."I don't think we make that". I pointed to the picture on the screen behind him and said you don't have a sandwich like that? "Nope". I thought maybe after they recently didn't their remodeling maybe it was under new management and maybe just maybe...NOPE. How do places like this stay in business? read more

Gave this location and second and last chance. First time I ordered a chicken biscuit in the drive thru. Got on the interstate pulled it out and it was a cheese biscuit. Looked at receipt to make sure she heard me correct and she did. So finally was able to turn around and go back. Gave me a chicken biscuit that was cold and pink in the middle. Uhg. So finally I gave them a second chance today. Woke be giving them another. Biscuit seemed more steamed than anything. Chicken was sort of soggy and way too small for the biscuit. Customer service is non existent. The location is old and run down. Should have been my first clue. read more

This place has always been really inconsistent, but I had quite possibly one of the worst meals I've ever paid for here in the last week. The food was just absolutely awful, got a burrito and rice and the rice was hard as a rock and the burrito not much better. Shit show. Took over 5 minutes to place our order when we got to the board. Once getting to the window we waited another 10 minutes before we got our food or were acknowledged. Once we did our food was wrong and cold. Employees gave us attitude. It seemed like there were 2 employees running the whole store. The empty drive thru should have been our first sign. My husband went inside to get the order remade and 20 minutes later we still have no food. Employee is crying, manager is chewing her out, cars are continuing to just abandon their order and drive off. If you want the food you ordered and in a timely matter save your time, sanity and money and go somewhere else. read more

Bathrooms need cleaned. We can start there. Food was horrible. Family and I ordered a variety of food from a cheese burger to nachos. The beef in the nachos was clearly old and burnt. Cheese sauce was that from a gas station. Hair was found in old ass fries. Just nasty. Would never visit another Hardee's again, especially this one. Hardee's is located on Buffalo Rd of Highway 61 close to the I-75 interchange (ext 122). Hardee's is a fast food chain restaurant with few discernible qualities from other location. I visited this Hardee's early one morning and used the drive through and the attendant was polite and the service was fast. The food as hot and the order was correct. read more

I am disgusted with this place. Not only does it take a long time to get the food usually. Just today when I ordered 2 of their chicken bowls (specifically one beef and one chicken) I was quite angry when I got home and found that they had barely covered the bottom of the little bowl with food. No more than 1 table spoon of rice, 1 table spoon of beans, 1 table spoon of chicken or their ground beef. with a little sour cream. I have NEVER seen so little put in one of their bowls. I did use a coupon but come on. If I had noticed when we got them thru the drive thru I would have stopped and went back inside to confront them. I will NEVER GO BACK THERE FOR BOWLS AGAIN. The Hardee's at exit 117 at Emory rd. always fills the bowl to an acceptable level. read more

When you go to a burger place you would expect to get a burger if you order a burger. Not here. TWICE I have been here and not had a burger on my bun. The first time I ordered a six dollar burger, got all the fixings, but no burger. I took it to the counter and the girl explained they were training some new people said they were sorry. This place is terrible now, it had gotten decent last year. Around summer of this year lunch is awful, breakfast is meh. Now Ive noticed a whole new crew, new GM and he cannot run that store. easily the worst fast food restaurant off the 122 clinton/norris exit. there seems to be new staff every couple of months but the one thing they all have in common is that they're extremely slow and always high on something. i recently went through the drivethru and had the woman take my order while she was outside on a smoke break. when i got to the window she rushed inside to tell me the total. of course my food was wrong. a different time another worker asked me to hold on while i was at the window and she proceeded to cuss someone out on her cellphone with the window wide open and standing right in front of me. they're extremely unprofessional and the food is always wrong/cold. read more

Nobody in there knows what they're doing. One person is asking this person and another to ask a question. A man was sitting at the drive through for 2-4 minutes because the girl with short blond hair refused to take it. It wasn't even busy, just my friends dad, my friend and me. Through out the time We were waiting, the blonde girl was on her apple watch and pretending to sweep around the kitchen. I tried speaking to the manager, who seemed to be just as old as me, and tried telling her about some food handling violations I noticed and that it brought me discomfort, but she didn't take it seriously at all. The girl who took my order tried stating that they're under staffed. I worked at the hardees off of knox rd in radcliff Kentucky, we had two people on shift for the night, so it would be just me working the drive through, front counter, fry station, and expediting while the manager made the orders. There should be no excuse. The work ethic was terrible, it's sad to know that place is ran by kids who don't want to do anything but cop and attitude when they have to do something. read more

If I could give one-half or no stars, I would... Should have known not to even walk inside the facility, when I pulled into the parking lot. Four employees (two of which were supervisors - I know because they were wearing black shirts) were on the curb smoking, as the cars continued to pull through the drive-thru. As I went inside, there was one lady in front of me,who was finishing her order. As I was greeted (meh) and started to place my order, the cashier stops near the end of taking my order to take a phone call and walks away, complaining about having to work at a different location later in the day. The cashier then returns and hands the drink cups across the counter to me. As I approach the soda fountain, there is ketchup, soda, and other indescribable messes all over the service station. As I walk around the lobby, to find a comment card (of which there were none), I notice that at least half of the tables were filthy. Returning to the front counter, the friendly young lady, Bailey, asks me what my order was, as the other young lady, Ashley, had left the front counter to join the others outside. Keep in mind, this is at least 10 minutes after my arrival and the ones outside - INCLUDING TWO SUPERVISORS - were still there. I tell Miss Bailey what I had ordered and she starts to look into it. At this time, there are only two employees actually running this restaurant, the aforementioned Bailey and another young lady, who was running the fryers, the broiler, and the sandwich make area. After another five minutes, one of the supervisors walks inside and completely ignores the other two people waiting to order and the gentleman who had come inside, presumably from the drive-thru to complain about the poor, inadequate service inside (Side note: the gentleman, tired of being ignored walks back outside). As the male supervisor continues to ignore his customers, he starts to ask Bailey if she would like to work at different facility in Knoxville (which is ironic, considering that they appeared to need help there also). Finally, after Miss Bailey wisely decides against that, the male manager begins to bag my food. As he is packing my fries and onion rings, he is holding my receipt in his mouth and as he finishes placing everything into the bag, he drops the receipt - FROM HIS MOUTH, on top of my food. As this was enough for me, I ask the male manager for a refund on my order. He looks confused and I explain to him that, through all that I had already witnessed, the mouth-receipt was the deal breaker. He begins to get agitated (AT ME!!!) and starts to hand me the bag of food. I ask again, politely, to get a refund instead of his germs. He snatches the debit card out of my hand, processes my refund and says, "There you go!" No apology for his less than hygienic practices.. Nothing... Outright disgusting, especially considering that it is cold & flu season. read more
