Chick-fil-A at Kingston Overlook is back. The bigger parking lot is nice and I am glad they moved the entrance of the drive thru so it doesn't spill into the street anymore (at least I hope it won't!). I got chicken tortilla soup which is my favorite and always get it when CFA has it. A few of my fries were pretty dark and I couldn't stomach them so I just ate the ones that were normal and not burnt. Overall the service is quick and we love CFA so other than the burnt fries the food was good. I am not going to lie though. We are really disappointed they got rid of the play area. This location used to have an outdoor play area and my kids loved climbing up it before corona and were looking forward to when they could play again but the new building doesn't have an indoor or outdoor play area at all. The tables are also super tiny and barely big enough for a family of 4 to sit down at with our food (and our kids share a kids meal and the table still feels tiny.). The table at the booths is not even the length of 3.5 napkins across. Overall we loved CFA and this is the closest one to our house but we will be visiting TC or another with a play area if we are going to meet up with friends with kids.

Chick-fil-A id our favorite place to stop for a meal when we're traveling. We tried this location since it looked brand new and was not extremely busy like many other locations. We pulled into the curbside order spot and placed our order on the app. Within 10 minutes an employee was at our car door with our order exactly as we ordered it. Everything was hot and delicious. Seems like they have increased the amount of Mac and cheese in the side order, but the Broccoli Salad seemed smaller. We will stop at this location again on our next trip through this area.

Something told me to look inside the sandwich before taking a bite. Sandwich looked great until I found a SPIDER in it!!! WTF!!! I love chick fil a, but this grossed me out.

Won't take responsibility for messing up a takeout order. 2 items were wrong and one was missing. The manager didn't care.

Located in an established strip mall by a high-traffic intersection at Kingston Pike and S. Peter's, Greens and Grains is easy to get in and out of with plenty of parking. The interior is spotlessly clean (including the restrooms!) and comprised of two connected dining areas and kitchens. One has a trendy, airy feel with cool green and white tones, while the other is darker with metal and wood elements, a game area, and a large open grill/prep area. The reason for the two different vibes was not immediately clear to me. Actually, it never became more clear during the hour or so I spent there, but I can appreciate a good mystery. This is NOT a fast food joint. In fact, it is slow. Agonizingly slow if you're in a hurry. This is a place to come when you are with a group of people you find highly entertaining (or when you heft along a great book) and don't mind waiting. After ordering two sandwiches and sides, my friend and I waited almost 20 minutes for our food to appear at our table. The macaroni salad was pleasantly flavorful, without the overcooked noodles and runny sauce so often found with this deli counter staple. The turkey and Brie was also good and grilled to buttery-crisp perfection. The sandwich, side, and a drink cost just under $20, so it's neither bargain-priced nor exotic, but fresh ingredients are not cheap. Only one employee was working in each of the two halves of the restaurant, so I imagine if they want to speed up their service, they are going to need to schedule more people. The two employees were both delightfully friendly, though, and they aren't just paying lip service to customer service, a goal plainly outlined on all the napkin dispensers and evidenced by their actions. Despite the slow service, I'm giving them a 5 for their dedication to quality ingredients and excellent customer service. I hope they make it for the long haul, and I'll definitely be back soon.

Plus, the purchase price of their chips goes to charity - it was fun picking our charity of choice. Service was excellent! The staff was enthusiastic and I must add "adorable". I'm returning next week.

It was busy for dinner on Friday and it seems people were waiting a bit for their to-go orders but they did a good job of keeping the line inside moving. Right when we walked in, we were asked if we had a reservation. It was our first time, so we didn't realize one was needed. When I said no and asked if we should have had one, the host responded, "Oh, that would have helped." That alone felt a little off-putting. We even offered to come back another time, but she said they had a table available--just that it was reserved for 1:00 PM (it was 11:55). We asked if that meant we'd need to leave by then, and while they tried to reassure us, it definitely set the tone for a rushed experience. We had barely sat down when the waitress immediately asked if we were ready to order. Caught off guard, we asked for water and coffee first. As soon as those arrived, we quickly ordered beignets, chicken and waffles, and biscuits and gravy--trying to be mindful of their time constraint. Unfortunately, our food took over 35 minutes to come out... which didn't align at all with the expectation that we'd be out before 1:00. When it finally arrived, the food was underwhelming at best. The chicken was okay, but the waffles and biscuits and gravy were cold. And the service? Just as cold. Overall, the experience felt rushed, unwelcoming, and disappointing from start to finish. Needless to say, we won't be returning. I truly hope they reconsider how they treat guests--especially first-time visitors who come in excited to try their restaurant.

Happy to see this new location, closer to a lot of things we do in west Knox. I had a GREAT lunch. Bloody Mary, then one of their low-cost specials ($11 for a half sandwich and side, basically). The sandwich was hot chicken with ranch and pickles and it was scrumptious. I had a problem choosing sides- so many great options including brussel sprouts, fried okra, Mac&cheese and salads.....I finally chose the green beans with bacon. Oh, they were soooo good.
