My wife and I decided to try Cava for lunch. We were greeted as soon as we entered and there were several diners there but not crowded. The setup reminded me of Chipotle with you picking your base, protein, toppings and any sauces. We both decided to have bowls and pitas. She had power greens, potatoes, chicken, two different types of hummus, and some delicious toppings. She loves everything about Cava and cannot wait to go back. I had spinach, braised lamb, chicken, hummus, toppings and a garlic sauce. It was good and very tasty. Everything was fresh and lots of flavor. She tried different flavors of drink and liked those. I thought this was all very tasty. My only issue was that portions and prices are both a bit high. I wish they had a 'senior' meal. I got a basic bowl and it was literally two full meals for me, and I had just finished playing tennis for 2 hours and was hungry! It's a great way to get quick and tasty Mediterranean food. It's a good concept, and I was pleased they had suggested or curated dishes--- sometimes it is hard to know how to COMBINE all the different meats/sauces/veggies, etc. So that was nice. Finally got to try this place! Wanted to see what the hype was about. I ordered the Harissa Avocado chicken bowl while my sister got the chicken and rice bowl. A lot of food! And it felt healthy ish, not greasy. You get all your macros. Not too much carb either. So good! A bit pricey but I'm guessing you're paying for freshness and quality. We also tried the new garlic pita chips. A bit salty but it had a good flavor on it. Ordering is quick and easy. I didn't make any changes to my bowl from what was indicated on the menu. Staff were really nice and friendly. They didn't seem stressed by the lunch rush. Bathrooms were clean. Parking was easy. Lots of spots. read more

CAVA I love you. You were refreshing and delicious and everything I needed in that moment. We were on our way home from a road trip and had reached our limit of BBQ and fried chicken. All I wanted was some veggies and grilled chicken and CAVA was the answer. We came in so tired late one night and still had hours to go on the road and man this was the oasis in the desert. The staff was busy and slightly overwhelmed but I was just fine waiting because I knew I was about to get a fluffy pita wrapped around some delicious chicken, romaine lettuce, cucumber, tomato, hummus and garlic dressing. I ordered online, no problem. The store could be kept much cleaner outside, garbage needed to be swept. The greek bowls was ready ontime. Dressing was to be on side. Decided to build my own bowl with the super greens and white rice, the red pepper hummus, harissa chicken, tomato's with onion, broccoli and corn with hot harissa vinaigrette on the side. I was in Knoxville for a meeting and one of my coworkers suggested this place for lunch. I am glad they did because this place is delicious. I have been to plenty of bowl places but Cava had a different approach to the bowl then I have experienced before. I decided to build my own bowl, I got half lettuce half black lentils as my base. I had hummus, tzatziki and babagonush as my dips. The honey harissa chicken was so tasty. I topped it off with tons of fresh toppings and garlic sauce. Everything was delicious and the portion size was generous. I wish we had one of these in my town but if I come across another in my travels I will definitely stop in! read more

On Sunday August 17th I did an online order that my wife picked up for us after her 13 hour shift at the hospital. She had a rough end to the shift and some Cava is what we needed. Unfortunately they got the order wrong. Added an item that was not requested and forgot to put both dips in the bowl. I checked the receipt and confirmed our order was completely wrong. I received an email asking for feedback so instead of doing a review I just gave them feedback on our experience. The only response I got back was that they were sorry and would get it right next time. No offer to try and make it better. We just spent $30 to get the wrong order and all we get is a sorry. We will go somewhere next time if that is actually how you are going to treat loyal customers when you make a mistake. read more

Walking into Cava, it is pretty minimal of a dining space. However they do offer patio seating which is shaded in the evenings! The staff were very friendly and patient while I worked through the menu. I ordered a harissa avocado bowl, a side order of pita chips with crazy feta dip, and a small drink which came out to about $20. The bowl was really good and had a little bit of heat to it. The pita chips are basically cut up pitas that are deep fried and seasoned. I thought these were a bit greasy and salty for my taste, but the crazy feta dip was good. I split this with another person and we both felt satiated from a half portion. Cava offers a variety of beverages including some in store made juices. I recommend the blueberry lavender, it is my favorite! Light and refreshing! The strawberry citrus is also good. As a casual dining place/fast food it does feel pretty healthy, but a little pricey. Given how flavorful and fresh the bowls are, I will be back here again. read more

As a vegetarian living in Knoxville, I was so happy to have a vegetarian friendly lunch spot. However, several times my order has been wrong and has included beef/chicken. So I tried cava yesterday. This location used to house zoes on Bearden hill. Not a bad place but, seemed unfinished. Very minimal decoration as if they had just opened and weren't sure what to decorate with. This is set up like a deli. You order and the person behind the counter assembles your food then rings it up. The food is a little like tomato head but with more of a Mediterranean vibe. I had the lentil avocado bowl. Lots of good stuff in there. This is a good place for vegetarians and possibly vegans. They also have the usual protein of chicken, beef, etc. Most of their menu is pita wraps and bowls. read more
