Went in with my wife and preschooler. The little one liked the cheese pizza, which isn't a given, so it must be good. Waitress offered a wine suggestion that blew my wife's socks off - and it was cheaper than her first choice (!). Vesuvius pie was really good and they put peppers on half without a glance or eye roll. The tiera masu (sic, I know) is homemade and better than any other I've had. Really reasonable on the price too. read more

Great pizza but the service is bad. Better wait staff would be a improvement. At least the poor service saves me on tipping!

The wood fired pizza was just average. When walking in to the restaurant, we were greeted with a blast of hot air. It was hotter in the restaurant than standing on the sidewalk in the 90 degree heat. The patio was shaded and much cooler. When our 3 pizzas did arrive, not one was cut through. We had to cut it into slices ourselves - which is not so easy with your standard restaurant issue butter knife. I ordered a Moscow Mule. It tasted like it was made with ginger ale not ginger beer. And who serves a Moscow Mule in anything but a copper cup? Stick with beer. To get any attention from the waitstaff, we had to flag her down. Then she dropped the check while we were still eating. We shoud have taken the hint and not ordered dessert. They had 3 items on the menu but were out of one. We ended up ordering the brownie sundae. To add insult to injury, the brownie was hard. However, if you are in Durango and absolutely must have wood fired pizza, this is the only game in town. read more

Nice restaurant in Durango's fashionable historic district. Service was good, and the food was delivered in short order. However, our 12" pizza was overcooked, and the edges and toppings were burnt. At first, we thought this might have been just the style of their "wood fired" pizzas, but after looking around, none of the other customers had burnt pizza. The 12" pizza with extra cheese and 2 toppings cost $20, and was not really enough for two adults to split. Honestly, I would have been more satisfied if I'd bought four frozen DiGiorno pizzas. read more

This place is TERRIBLE! it took an hour and a half for a margarita pizza and a pepperoni calzone. Now the waitress talked to us to take our order and give us the check. We had to ask for a manager just so we could pay. Also, the pizza was dripping grease! It was so gross and looked like it had been deep fried for an hour instead of in their brick oven. The calzone was filled with jalapenos, but no cheese and only 2 pieces of pepperoni?! that seems like a rip-off considering we paid $10 for it. The food: Extremely greasy The service: Extremely crappy I will NEVER be eating here again! read more

Pizza is pretty good- crust made from scratch, and you can taste quality ingredients, however it's overpriced. Last night was the last time I will support this restaurant. They seat you quickly in an already overfull restaurant, overloading the kitchen, so you end up waiting close to an hour for your food. A good spot to try in the off-season maybe. read more

The menu is very limited. We tried the pizza and it was mediocre at best. Salad dressing was watery. Waiter brought me the wrong pizza. Never refilled our ice tees. If you want pizza, recommend the restaurants in the Strater hotel. read more

The pizza was fantastic. We had a margarita pizza with pepperoni. It was fresh and delicious. Small place which was nice. The canoli with lemon zest is VERIZON lemony. The shell was perfectly crisp, but the lemon was overpowering and the Chocolate drizzle was sort of weird. read more

I've visit Durango pretty regularly, and every time I come into town, I make sure to stop in to Fired Up for a pizza and one of the best margaritas I've ever had! It's a great spot downtown to grab some pretty legit wood-fired pizza. I always sit at the bar, so I can watch them make the pizzas, including tossing the dough. Crust is just crunchy enough and not overly thick or chewy. The ingredients are quality and they don't skimp on the toppings. I usually get one of their specialty pizzas like the Vesuvius or the Southwest (adding pepperoni). If you're crazy hungry, you could probably put down a whole pizza. But, sharing a pizza and a salad with a friend is certainly plenty. Also, as I said earlier, their margaritas are fantastic. Nothing but fresh, muddled limes/oranges, tequila, agave or triple sec and splash of maybe seltzer or some such. So good! Every time I've stopped in, the place is decently packed. But they also have a patio out back for more seating. Especially nice on a temperate, beautiful Durango day. read more

Visiting from out of town. We ate on the back patio and it was a pleasant atmosphere except for the train coming by every now and then. Food was delicious. read more

This was probably one of the best dining experiences I've had! The ambiance is relaxed and casual. The volume is relatively low. We requested, and didn't wait too long at all for a seat on the patio. We got a waitress in training which normally scares me. But Megan was awesome! And Abby, who was training her was super friendly as well. They kept our drinks flowing, and always kept an eye on us, but otherwise let me & mine just enjoy each others company on a beautiful July evening. I read reviews on Yelp about the Spinach Artichoke dip, but discovered they offer Roasted Stuffed Mushrooms, stuffed with the spinach artichoke! They were delicious. The mushrooms were firm, good sized and the stuffed goodness was what I was hoping for! We had the Fire Roasted Veggie and Vesuvian pizzas. I told them to feel free to make my Vesuvian as spicy as they dare. And they did not let me down! Too spicy for my girl, but I thought it was perfect! She loved her veggie pizza, too! Well done Megan, our server; and well done Fired Up Pizza! You totally WOWed us! read more

I went here yesterday, I was attracted to this place by the online menu item "daiya" which is a known vegan cheese. Unfortunately it wasn't on the regular menu but when we asked the server I'm glad he knew what vegan was and could help me accordingly. The pizza was just as good with out cheese (I usually order pizza without cheese anyways) but I'm not entirely sure whether the crust was vegan or not, eh what are you going to do? Also, very prompt and nice service! A little bodily location because of the train. read more

Delicious pizza, fast and good service, specials during the week. I ordered the Bianca w/ goat cheese and a salad, my wife had the Spicy Hawaiian. The pizza is made fresh to order, you can literally watch them make your crust and put it into the pizza oven. The crust is thin and delicious. It was some of the best pizza I've ever had. If we go back to Durango I would definitely go again. read more

Fun place. Had the spicy pizza and it was very good. Gave it four stars because our draft beer was not cold. Servers were friendly and attentive. read more

I've been here many times & they are definitely feeling the pain of the loss of tourism this Summer as they've raised prices by a few bucks per pizza, they are way understaffed, & they are cutting back on the toppings on their pizzas. So it's hurting clients in their pocket, we are receiving poorer service, & less food. This evening they brought the wrong toppings on our pizzas, then gracefully sent them back to remake them & because they moved so fast trying to get the pizzas back out they undercooked the crust. After one bite we sent the pizzas back as it seemed we were eating sandwiches, not crusty pizza. Even after a second firing, we just got back burnt crust with a soggy center. No apologies, no refunds, no nothing...just poor service & food all around. Save your money & go anywhere else. read more

Salmon flat bread was yummy. Really like the ambience on the back patio. Basil lemonade is awesome. Salad was good but some of the leaves were not as fresh as they should've been read more

Always fun and delicious. We come every time we visit Durango!

This is a great pizza by any standard, but to find it in one of Colorado's best small towns is a real delight. We had the Sweet and Salty with prosciutto and fig, a sausage and mushroom and a goat cheese and artichoke. Great beer selections and a warm and comfortable atmosphere make this a must-visit if you are going to be in Durango. read more

I absolutely love the pizza here. The only problem I have is the price for the portions... but when I'm feeling like a great pizza & don't mind spending some money for it... I always choose Fired Up! read more

Been here every year for the polar express. This is our go to pizza and today I found today my kids pizza was burnt! Service was below average. I repeatedly had to go to the bar for my beer. My glass was empty often. I was a bit disappointed overall. Being seated by the door was rough because there was seating away from the door! Average today. read more

Excellent service to compliment the thin and crispy pizza. The menu is loaded with fresh ingredients to decorate your pizza. We had an excellent salad as well. read more

The Grande salad with rosemary chicken was super fresh - best salad I've had in a long time at a restaurant. And they have Modus Hoperandi on tap! read more

Passing thru town and Yelp'd led me to here. This place is awesome! Pizza consistency was perfect and ingredients were top notch. I also want to give a shout out to our server Riley. I had purchased 2 t-shirts which I left on the table by accident when we were leaving, and she came running down the street after me bag of shirts in hand. Thanks Riley!!! read more

Delicious pizza and good lunch specials. My salad was a wonderful mixture of greens with fresh yummy tomato (and I am a tomato hater! I ate every bite), shaved cheese of some sort, and a lemon vinaigrette. Best salad I'd eaten in awhile. My individual pizza was cooked to perfection with the Bianca sauce and a nice slice of smoked salmon on each of its four slices. I loved the atmosphere here, where I felt comfortable in my post-hike sports gear but would have felt equally at home in a nice dress. They have a spacious covered patio dining area, although we opted to eat up front in the main dining room. It's stylish but not overly trendy. Our server was great. If I had it to do over, I might have opted for a different sauce because the Bianca was extraordinarily garlicky...but all in all, a perfect pizza lunch was had. read more

This place is great! We had the gluten free pizza and really enjoyed it. The waitress even brought out honey for us to eat on the ends of the crust. The spinach salad was amazing! We forgot to ask what brand of balsamic dressing they use because we wanted to know if it was something we could buy on our own to use at home. It was the best we've ever had! Really nice place worth stopping by when you're in Durango. If we had stayed in town more than one night we would probably have gone back. Must try! read more

If exploring Durango, you must stop and eat here! The Caesar salad was delicious. But the pizza I ordered was a show stopper: Bianca crust with goat cheese, prosciutto, and figs. Holy moly. Super friendly staff too! read more

Oh my word. This was one of the best places I've ever eaten in Durango. We got the spinach and artichoke dip, and I must say, its the best I've had anywhere. There is just something different about it, I personally thought it may have had to do with the feta. Our pizza was the pesto and it was delicious, with a nice pine nut after taste. I had a berrytini which was good, not weak but not too strong. The service was great as well despite the restaurant being very busy. I am so happy we stopped here, I will be returning and taking friends and family with me. read more

I came here after a disappointing bowl of pho at Rice Monkeys hoping to have a palate cleanser of salad while my husband got some pizza. I ordered the prosciutto arugula salad, it had shaved Parmesan, figs, walnuts, and a lemon vinaigrette. The salad was large, but underwhelming. I did not enjoy the lemon vinaigrette, which just tasted like a lemon had been squeezed over the salad with no olive oil or further seasoning. The prosciutto, if that it what it was, was cubed and cold, despite the oven roasted description on the menu. The best part was the figs, which were plentiful. The Parmesan seemed processed and pre-cut. My husband's pepperoni pizza was overly greasy, a double miss for Durango Yelp reviews. read more

It was really busy when we got there around 7:30, so we just sat at the bar for dinner. The bartender was so friendly and managed to get my complicated order spot-on. Pizza was delicious... So good that my fiancé ended up ordering a second one (the small was enough for me, but I would recommend a bigger one for those with bigger appetites). The pepperoni is unlike anything we've ever had - not processed, very fresh. read more

Delish! Fast fresh and not too heavy. Great flavor on every pie we had - the Vesuvius was my favorite. highly recommended!! :)

My husband and I are visiting from San Antonio. We ordered to-go pizza and it was wonderful.. Hot and fresh... Great service

The Vesuvius pizza had an incredible flavor and was overall excellent. The crust was just a touch too charred for my liking, hence the 4 stars over 5. Enjoyed the patio on a nice warm afternoon! read more
