I have all my permits done here since 1995 and still going there to getting all my renewals permit I have sent a lot of people there to get their permits

I recommend this place over any other places. While most places want to hurry up get your money and train you very little, this place place actually take their time and train you better. You can also contact them if you have any questions after your training. They even tell you to practice after your training. Currently his son mostly provide the training. Since baton training is outdoors, I recommend if possible, do it when it's not hot outside. The only reason I am giving 4 stars, while he try to provide good training, I think he could go more in depth and more practice. The guy before him several years ago did little bit better. But it might be hot outside and everyone wants to leave including me. Haha! If I ever need a gun permit again, this is the place I will go to. Currently, he offers training for guard card, baton, tear gas, gun, taser, loss prevention, and Red Cross CPR / First Aid. However, I think the owner should switch over to Healthcare CPR / First Aid because some clients will not accept Red Cross version. I used to do security for a medical building and they specifically ask for the healthcare version.

This establishment was recommended to me by one of my colleagues and I'm glad I took their advice of training here. Since the moment that I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff. The staff were exemplary in all that they did asking if needed help and giving clear instructions on how to fill out the paperwork. The instructor was very knowledgeable and would not mind questions being asked and would give hypothetical questions to students to gain a deep understanding of the material being presented. The instructor kept the class engaged and made subjects that would otherwise be dry fun and exciting. The hands on portion was great the instructor would have us practice the techniques until he was satisfied with our technique. Testing out I felt that I had a profound understanding of the subject. My overall experience of training here was beyond my expectations and would highly recommend anyone working in the security field to train here you'll be pleased with their training.

Outstanding CPR Experience - Highly Recommend!…read more I cannot say enough great things about Pico Rivera CPR and Alex. After another facility canceled on me 30 minutes before my skills class (cue panic ), I was able to book a same-day, last-minute appointment with Alex--and he truly saved me. From the moment I arrived, everything was smooth, professional, and reassuring. Alex is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and patient. You can immediately tell he's been doing this for a long time. The class was one-on-one, very informative, and held in his clean, cozy, and welcoming home, fully set up with light-up CPR dummies. I felt completely safe and supported the entire time. By the end of the session, I genuinely felt refreshed, confident, and ready to save a life. As a teacher, that peace of mind means everything. What really stood out: Same-day availability when I was in a bind One flat fee that included everything (skills + online portion), unlike other companies that charge separately He even printed and laminated my card on the spot--above and beyond service The entire experience was amazing from start to finish. I could not have been more pleased, and I will never go anywhere else for my CPR renewal again. If you're looking for CPR certification done right--with professionalism, care, and zero stress--Alex is your guy.

Luckily from a yelp search I found this place, and so glad that I did. I was able to sign up for the Sunday class and the price was actual lower than the place I used to go to. The online sign up process was easy and I got my confirmation right away. The place was right on the corner where Huntington curves and easy to spot even when the gps tries to take you the wrong way. There is ample parking in the back. The class was already set up and they had bathrooms available as well. Andrew was an awesome instructor. He was to the point, funny, and made sure everyone understood and stopped after each segment to see if anyone needed him to go over anything again. The test was given at the end and graded right there. The ecard is then emailed. I highly recommend this course here and will take it again when needed. Price: $59 and easy online registration Parking: plenty in the back Instructor: Andrew was excellent Certifications: a variety offered and this one satisfied the AHA BLS for healthcare

The CPR and First Aid Program at UCLA is a real bargain for those of you interested in taking a CPR…read moreclass. Only $10 ($5 for UCLA students), classes are open to everyone and are held on the UCLA campus. They offer American Heart Association adult and infant CPR/AED classes, as well as First Aid classes. As a fitness instructor, I have to renew my CPR certification every 2 years, and the class I took recently through this program was the best I've ever taken. There were about 20 people in class, and there were more than enough practice mannequins for everyone. The class itself was a combination of watching short videos and hands-on practice. The hands-on practice might seem tedious and boring, but you do it enough times so that you feel comfortable with administering CPR. People were complaining about strain in the wrists from all of the compressions that we did, lol. The student instructors were all great - very patient and knowledgeable. You get your CPR certification card at the end of class. For some reason, they didn't have cards for us (I think they were waiting to get new cards), but they said the cards would be ready a week after the class and you could pick yours up from their office on campus or they would mail it to you. I actually didn't get my card in the mail until a month after I finished the class, so minus one star for that. Overall though, I highly highly recommend this group if you need to take a CPR course! Tip: Check out their website for their schedule of classes. Because it's a student-run group, classes are only during the school year, but they usually have classes every weekend. You can also request a class for your group or organization.
