I definitely recommend this restaurant when you're in town. Parking: This location is literally next to a parking garage, so parking should not be an issue when you're coming to this restaurant. If you don't park in that particular parking garage, there are a few parking garages nearby as well, if you're planning to walk around afterwards. There are street parking not too far as well, if you want to avoid structures. Food: A great variety in selection, from appetizers, to main entrées. Our table shared the chips and guacamole. Highly recommend this appetizer, it was delicious. Then for the main entrée I had their popular tacos, came in serving size of 3. Drinks: Plenty of selections to choose from when you're trying to get drinks. From bottled or on tap beers, to well drinks. I had the Mule, which was really good as well. Next time I come here, I definitely want to enjoy a beer, and a game. Seating: They offer indoor, and outdoor seating. We sat outside, so I personally didn't see inside, and how many seats they offered. But for the outdoor seating there was plenty, and we had a party size of 6, that easily sat comfortably. Apparently this place has gone downhill. It was my first time here and I wasn't impressed. My friend, who's been here a few times in the last few years, told me this will be his last time at Fire Up Bar & Grill. The service was unorganized. They kept bringing the wrong thing and my friends drink arrived way after our food did even though we ordered it before ordering food. Music: 7/10 7 because I can't understand how you go from grupos to ghetto rap. (In my opinion) Drinks: 10/10 No complaints. Beer wasn't flat. The food is good. I want to start by saying that. The issue I have with this place is the speakers are WAY too close to some tables and WAY too loud; it was impossible to speak to anyone I went out to eat with. The quality of the speakers were bad on top of them being too loud. I suggest investing in a better surround sound system so more people can enjoy the ambiance. A lot of people go and I can see this being a spot where a lot of people meet but the speakers are too loud to hear one another. The service wasn't that great. It was hard to catch a waitress if I had a question or needed a refill. They also didn't know what they were out of. We ordered a side and the waitress came back to tell us they didn't have any anymore. After choosing something else, she came back and told us there was none of that either. Seems like whoever is ordering the supply and making the food should up the quantity on some of the inventory. Aaammmazing. Came to riverside for an errand & found this lil gem. Wow. Just wow. Loved the ambiance. Mainly outdoor seating with a few bar seats inside. We sat outside and loved it. Absolutely love this place. I ordered the chilaquiles and everything tasted homemade. They don't use the nasty bagged rice like a lot of restaurants. They actually make the rice themselves and you can taste it. Additionally we were greeted with some pan dulce appetizer that was elevated with some type of glaze. The staff was also so welcoming and very kind. Lastly the ambiance was traditional Mexican Haceienda vibes but also very artsy. Loved the atmosphere and food. We only had a few days in Riverside and spent quite a bit downtown. We stopped here later at night on a weekday. It was nice to see them still open and so many enjoying their time here when a lot of shops nearby were closed for the night. It is pretty quiet down here mid week or when we were walking around anyway. We were greeted right away and sat at a table near the heat lamps which was great because it was pretty cold. We'd already had a pretty big dinner elsewhere, but we're looking for drinks and maybe an appetizer. I'm a sucker for Birria tacos so we decided to split a pair and added some charro beans. We ordered a Berry Drop and some Beer on tap to go with it. There were TV's on to watch as well if alone or up for sports etc. our drinks came quickly and let me tell you the Berry Drop was phenomenal. I could throw quite a few of those bags, but I needed to find my way home ha ha. The beans were probably our favorite though heavily salted. The salt was overdone on everything. The tacos were ok, but again quite overdone on salt. We didn't finish the tacos. I did not enjoy the consommé, bummer. The meat was good though. I will say the chips and salsa were some of the best we've had. The chips were crispy, but light. The chips weren't over cooked or stale. The vibe was fun, service great for the most part though we asked for an additional plate that was never brought and it took a bit to get our check because the employee was chatting with someone. Went for lunch on Saturday. They were only serving their Sunday brunch menu, but that was fine. This place was packed! Happy people, loud good music, awesome food and drinks! What more could a girl ask for!?!? The staff all wore masks and waited on us hand and foot. Honestly, was looking to have a fun experience having morning mimosas, but unfortunately, this is not a place for mimosas. They take forever for a place that's not even busy, I didn't like the fact that I have to be waiting for another drink, like 30$ that you can drink up in the next 10 minutes and then you're waiting for 45 minutes extra so they can bring you another round. Very cool little spot in the cool downtown district of Riverside. I never thought I would say Riverside is cool but this place was very nice. Close to downtown San Diego feel. OK not really close but it was nice. LOL We arrived at about 9 am for some brunch and were seated immediately. Parking wasn't an issue since we were there pretty early for a Saturday. We sat outside obviously and it was nice. Customer service was great and our waiter checked on us many times. The food was very good! This place seems to be very loud and probably popular for the drink specials, type of place, The food actually matched the atmosphere and was very good. The prices were decent and drinks were good.
