    Seriously big a** salads !!!

HAVE YOU BEEN HERE ??? WOW!!! We were at the Little Woody beer, Cider and Whiskey festival and Chris from the Fire on the Mountain beer booth sent us to Fire on the Mountain Restaurant assuring us we would get a great meal. WE DID! The food was so GOOD!!! Everyone ordered something different and it was all good. Well thought out burger flavors with great fresh ingredients. I'd say comparable to a 900 wall burger, if you know you know. Chris recommended the Jamaican jerk burger with pineapple it was SO GOOD. I had a huge salad and ate every bite!!! ORDER THE SWEET POTATO FRIES I think they were the best I've ever had and I try them everywhere I go LOL. Indoor and outdoor seating with corn hole.

Enjoyed coming in here and letting my nephews try some hot wings. They definitely enjoyed trying some different flavors and they tried the fried pickles as well. I loved the pickles, but they weren't huge fans. We went in a little early and by the time we were done it was packed.

I love that they offer vegan drum sticks and vegan nuggets. I also love that the sauces are clearly labeled including if they have added sugar. This is amazing. I wish all restaurants were so open and good with labeling. The interior is also beautiful. Unfortunately, our wings came out extremely overcooked. They should be flash fried; just a little golden and they were nearly black. Having already waited over 30 minutes (we got there at 5pm!) for 12 wings, we suffered through them instead of sending them back. They were also really scant with the sauce. There was barely any sauce. We ordered mild buffalo and BBQ. We could barely taste the sauces. The vegan ranch was good, however. The wings were barely edible, mostly bc they were so overcooked. The breaded nuggets were absolutely disgusting. They tasted like rancid fish sticks. I think they must not change their oil regularly. Overall very disappointed but hopefully they will improve. They have beer (their own) and cocktails with some rather cool names and concoctions. We did not try any. Lastly this is one of the LOUDEST places I've ever been to. I couldn't hear my friends. Wings were small and while I understand this is Bend and everything is expensive it was just too expensive for what we got. Just a basic wing and too small for the hype, they seriously told me they had large wings. Service was ok and atmosphere was decent. Stand in line order food get a number they bring it to you. Variety of sauces and flavors was good.

    Medium Buffalo wings

Fire on the Mountain is a small Portland-based chain that recently opened in Bend. It's a wing restaurant that also serves appetizers, salads, sandwiches and wraps. The menu includes two varieties of vegetarian/vegan fake chicken items. They offer beer, cider and wine. Beer is either their own brand on draft or one of a couple local brews in cans. Wine is canned. - 9-piece wings: Ordered with medium Buffalo sauce (they have quite a few choices here) which is about as advertised - medium hot. They are messy with a lot of sauce added. While I ordered and paid for nine pieces (actually half wings), I received twelve. The wings are small. Not bad but really nothing special. If you like wings, you'll probably be satisfied. - Setup is fast casual: order at the counter, they'll bring food and drinks to you. Annoyingly, they ask for a phone number along with your name. I declined to give my phone number - they have no business asking. - There's a very small bar area, a few booths and several high top tables. Mobility challenged folks should have no trouble with the booths. - LOUD. Very loud. They have the music cranked up to the point of making conversation difficult. I took my wings to go although I had wanted to try one of their in-house draft beers. - Adequate parking in front of the restaurant. FOTM is actually on Campfire Hotel property across the street from the main hotel. - Website is borderline useless. It doesn't provide the location or the complete hours of operation. Overall, A-OK.

    Chicken Tenders

Chicken tenders are pretty small and I expected more especially if I'm paying more than $13 dollars. Fries are sad looking. I like the options have being able to order naked wings with the sauce on the side. Service is friendly and fast. Whole restaurant is clean and welcoming.

Not the best or friendliest experience. I do not think we will be back. Wings were good, staff did not give a sh*t.

Meh. Wings were ok. They seemed unusually small compared to other places. Sauces were ok. Beer was good- better than the wings.

Flavor of the wings are pretty good but a few of the wings were very small and more like 1/2 a wing.

Maybe they own the building? - Food is by NW Wing Shop. Good wings and other chicken-related things. Not much for vegetarians except salad and cauliflower. - It's billed as a taphouse but has a pretty small array of taps. Full bar but it's probably limited there too. - Service is Bend friendly. If you're not sitting at the small bar, order drinks and food at the front register. - Happy hour 4-6 pm.

I was initially very hungry when I first got here so I gobbled these wings down. The blue cheese is bland. It was really the highlight of why we chose the place. I don't want this to ruin anyone else's experience. This is my own. I do believe that the wings are not bad at all. It's just that they could be better. I got the wings to go, but I didn't get a peek inside and it looks like a nice place to sit down and eat. Nice TVs somber music... newer building. I would say that the wings are about a 7.5 out of 10 . My bias comes from being from the southeast. The food is just a little different a lot more flavor packed, but I would probably come back again if I were in the mood for wings. _- I should've started with the pros, but if you've read this far, the pros were the wings do come out fresh, they taste juicy, and that is always a big Turn on. No one likes the taste of processed wings. The other pro is the flavor is generally not awful. It's moderately good. So. Give them a shot :) -- If I were going to elevate this dish, I would pair it with a 10 year blue cheese with more crumbles, and add a little bit of more Parmesan cheese to the garlic and Parmesan flavor.
