Everyplace I walked, there was a blend of past and present. PlayStation 4 & 5 games, alongside rows of nostalgia that ranged in clothes, toys, accessories, movies, you name it. This store embodies 90s pop culture, and not the hip hop side, but more the alternative (which is what I felt more represented me). I found a dvd I've been looking for months, in just a matter of minutes. The movies are all alphabetized, yo! It's like a thrift store, but so much more. I really liked that the Folsom location had a way bigger selection of Funko Pops than the Arden location. There is so much stuff to look through in general at this location, since it's roomier. I specifically scoured the shelves for some Funko Pops to take home, and came across the cutest Jurassic World one (shown below) that I just needed to buy. I also discovered a beautiful Elvis Funko, but that one I decided to hold off on for now. My husband bought a Mewtwo Funko as well (not shown). Most of the Funkos were in really good condition. There was a Stranger Things Funko that I really wanted but alas the previous owner had damaged the box. From a collector's standpoint, the prices are fair. Of course this location had other collectibles and items for sale, such as clothes, records, and whatnot. I've got plenty of records at home and only want to purchase very specific records these days, so I didn't really bother to look in their record aisles. The staff were friendly and chill. I will definitely return to check for more Funko Pops in the near future!

Considering these controllers are over 20 years old it was expected. We did some research and decided to bring our controllers here to get some attention. We were given a quote and dropped off the controllers to be looked at. While we were there we had so much fun looking at all the retro games, consoles, accessories and cards that they have at the shop. Everyone was really nice, helpful and welcoming and we were really impressed with the whole experience. They ended up calling us a couple days later to let us know the diagnosis for our controllers and what they'd be doing to fix them up. The final cost was below the quote and we're so happy to be able to play some classic games with our well loved controllers again.

Since there was no sign indicating that discs are kept behind the counter, l reasonably assumed the disc was missing and placed it into the better case. Instead of calmly explaining their policy, the employee immediately responded in an aggressive and disrespectful way, telling me to "put that shit back." Only afterward did he explain that the discs are kept at the counter - something that should have been clearly communicated to customers in the first place. A simple explanation would have avoided the entire situation. Being spoken to like that was unnecessary, unprofessional, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. What made this even more upsetting was reading another customer's review describing how staff openly discussed taking advantage of a child who unknowingly brought in a rare Galaxy 3DS XL and traded it for a regular 3DS -- which is far less valuable. Instead of informing the child of what he had, they reportedly took advantage of the situation and even bragged about it afterward.Seeing behavior like that toward a kid is honestly disturbing and unethical. After experiencing the rude treatment myself, it's hard to believe this was an isolated incident. On top of all of this, many of the games and consoles here are significantly overpriced compared to other stores. This is especially concerning for beginners or casual gamers who may not yet know typical market values. If you were selling anything here they are meticulous however they do pay more than other places. Example: I sold some fighting PS2 games here and was paid about $5 each game where as places like The Cave would have paid $1. It's a large, spacious shop so it was no trouble hosting the large amount of people that they had throughout that day. I was there for half the day and it felt quite warm inside until the end of the event, so bring a portable fan if you overheat easily. Selling is a quick process if you know what you want and there's not a long que of others waiting to sell. Business is business, make sure you have a price in mind and they may try to work with it.

They have the biggest selection of used games and consoles, carrying all the classics and newest. It almost reminds me a little of sneaker resellers the way they have things shrink wrapped and behind glass cases. Additionally they sell Pokémon cards, plushies and amiibos! The selection of books, CDs, DVDs, video games, and other exciting things were all presented with visual aesthetics. I loved looking through all the different sections and seeing things that brought back memories from childhood and different eras.
