Absolutely awful. First, the service is terrible. We were 30 minutes into service and only had water. About an hour and a half later we finally finished our food. Timing was awful, service was awful, which is all fine to a certain extent if the food is good. But it wasn't. It was a group of 5 and everyone hated their food. I ordered the scallop risotto and the scallops were raw in the middle. I ate 2 just because I was starving but then stopped. Unfortunately I had to pull over twice on the way home because It made me sick. I can't remember the last a restaurant has gotten me sick but this restaurant did. We had our daughters birthday dinner here last night. Party of 8. So disappointed in the quality of the food and restaurant is very loud. Our 2 bruschettas were good but the mussel appetizer were really fishy and... I love mussels! The carbonara was so thick, sticky and rich it was nearly inedible. The cacio de Pepe is meant to be pasta with pepper and Parmesan and it too was thick and sticky and more like Alfredo. The seafood pasta dish was tasty but came with a huge pile of those fishy mussels. Lobster ravioli $35 was pricy for flat raviolis with no discernible lobster that were drenched in an unimaginative sauce. Lasagna was good but tiny for $29. Eggplant was good. Our server Loren was very good. Wine was good but also pricy at about $55/bottle. So $550 bucks later we had expected a lot more from a restaurant in midtown. read more

Hey y'all. I'm back. I know it's been a while since I posted I guess today is the day. Run, don't walk to Fiori. I've passed this place a dozen times and always said I wanted to go. My dear sweet friend is getting married and I has the honor of hosting her Bridal Shower. From my first call to the restaurant, they were accommodating, friendly and so willing to help plan the event. I reserved space upstairs and on the day of they said the upstairs patio was available. There's a florist on site so I was able to get a custom floral arrangement for the table ( bride ). We were able to customize a menu for our guest to choose from ( since we were paying it was a great way to manage the budget). We started with a charcuterie board and Prosecco to start. We had a variety of pastas, avocado toast, salads and a few other items. Every dish was pleasing to our guest. They allowed us to bring in our own cake and our waiter Ruben was absolutely the best. He was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Ruben made the event even more special. The owner was on site and made sure he introduced himself. My only regret was that I hadn't come here sooner. They embodied good customer service. Thank you to the entire staff, our future bride and guest were all very happy. read more

I will preface my review by saying: This restaurant has a true potential for growth, but some things can and should be addressed. Stuff was nice and professional, our waitress was great. I ordered a Carbonara, but it was not at all what I expected to receive. The pasta was Al dente, which was good. However, it was unusually spicy for a carbonara, it seemed like red pepper has been added to the sauce. Every time I took a bite the spice remained as aftertaste. I also had a vanilla gelato, which was perfect. My mocktail mule was very tasty. The interior and exterior is great. Ambience and atmosphere was quite amazing. Thr eggplant parmigiana is not breaded so that's very healthy plus points! Thr flavor could be more spicey, so ask for some red chilli flakes. Thr burrata was cold with the red sauce. Fiori has nailed the Italian aesthetic by taking you right out of the big city and immersing you in a quiet and romantic setting in Montrose, complimented by live music. The service was impeccable from friendliness of staff to timeliness of food and drinks. The bar tender was very knowledgeable about the wine list and offered his help and expertise in pairing a wine for our dinner. The menu is pretty board, offering a large selection. We ordered the charcuterie to start, which was prepared very well. The jam was amazing! For our main courses, we ordered the fried lamb chops and the shrimp pasta. The lamb chops were extremely thin, but tender, and were fried in tempura batter and overly salted. Would rate a 5/10. The shrimp pasta could have been amazing, except it was overly spiced with the red pepper flakes. I am a person that can definitely eat spicy food and this was a bit too spicy for me. Went for a date night last night and the fresh flowers were pretty when you walk in and the cheese board was a nice appetizer. Then it went downhill, Husband ordered the saltimbocca server highly recommended and I ordered the scallops risotto and it came out in less than 5 minutes (which seemed too fast) and the saltimbocca was cold and my risotto tasted like rice that wasn't cooked enough with hard pieces we ate very confused. We ended up just telling the server we had to leave because my husband got a work call and it took about 15 minutes getting the check. Overall disappointed, definitely underwhelmed. read more

Very cute quaint place! I appreciate the manager letting my dinner date and I come in between hours. I was disappointed with the delay on the bruschetta. I was served burrata fritta instead and I enjoyed it. The aglio was pretty good and filling. It tasted very authentic - reminiscent of my time in Italy. I would recommend this place for a quick bite or a cute date with someone who appreciates simplicity and minimalism. The view from the patio on the roof is nice. Noisy with the busy street but in a comfortable way in which you and your lunch/dinner date can still converse and hear each other. Overpriced mediocrity. I started with a 1/2 portion of gnocchi. Beware that their " primi" are main course sized. My gnocchi was barely warm and the bolognese had some cold and some hot bites. A rather disappointing experience. As we walked in, I was admiring the beautiful flower shop and the sweet lady that ran it, however upon being seated, everything went down hill. Our server was fairly new and understandable may need more time to adjust, this review is solely based on the food and ambiance. The food - we ordered a variety of dishes and every single one of them, except for the branzino was either bland, cold, or both. The burrata frita (fried burrata) tasted like a big ball of mozzarella cheese sticks. The carbonara was disappointing as it tastes like easy mac and the spaghetti with prawns was probably worse that chef boyardee. The veal that came out was of decent size, but if they had just seasoned it a bit more, it would've been fine. It was not the juciest veal and could've actually been mistaken for chicken fried chicken. One of the dishes we ordered was forgotten after several reminders and we were patient enough to just wait for it, thinking maybe this would make up for everything else....it didn't. Overall, my 9 year old nephew could make a better meal. The chef did come by to try and ask us how everything went and all though we did not go into detail about every dish, we simply told him it was a bit bland, and his response was "good, ok...*walks away*". I think the appropriate response here would be to acknowledge and say something along the lines of "thank you for your feedback I'll be sure to take that into account when I make the food." read more

This is a middle of the road place. Nothing bad but nothing outstanding. The ambience is very good. Service was pleasant but needs a lot of training. This seems to be a trend in Houston of hiring waitstaff and providing no training. Wine list is limited but some nice selections. However on a Saturday night one of three red wines were not available. How can that happen? First courses were fine but pricing is very high. Caprese salad was fine, should have much better mozzarella for the price. Branzino was cooked very good but served on a small plate. It is served whole so it's really hard to fillet it yourself on a small plate and no fish knife. The kitchen should at least butterfly the fish before serving. We went to Fiori for our wedding anniversary dinner. We were sat upstairs and after a few tables had left we had the upstairs to ourselves. We ordered a bottle of Sparkling Rose and they also gave us a glass of Prosecco to celebrate our special evening when we sat down. We ordered the small cheese and meat charcuterie which was perfect amount for a starter. The cheeses were really fresh and the fruit was ripe and complemented. We ordered caccio e pepe and the ahi tuna salad for our main. Delicious! We finished the evening with the chocolate tort. Perfect! This restaurant was so good and the service was really nice. Came here for Sunday brunch. There was a lot behind the place that was convenient for parking. We were seated upstairs on the patio, and the ambiance was very lovely. Slightly disappointed after they switched out the old brunch menu and gave us the new one, which was priced less favorably. The original was $35 for 3 courses and the new was $35 for 2 courses and a side of fruit/muffin/yogurt. I was disappointed we could not order a la carte, as the menu online did not suggest it was not a la carte. The omelette was very tasty, with prosciutto and marinara sauce draped on top. The side of fruits was quite underwhelming. The tiramisu dessert was elegant, delicious, and decadent. We had some aperol spritzes, which were refreshing, crisp, and delightful. Service was ok - our waiter was kind but he didn't do things to the fullest extent (ie: brought the take away box instead of boxing it up for us). The pastry board was excellent - 2 cinnamon rolls, one large, on small, a chocolate croissant, and 2 butter croissants. Below average food and even worse service from management. As we're signing the check to leave, my company and I were hassled to leave and practically yelled at. We were evidently leaving and were honestly in no way trying to stay much longer due to the mediocre food and suffocating layout of the restaurant. It's a quaint, intimate spot with good affogato and if it weren't for the pesto being bland and getting practically ran out the restaurant, I might actually consider going back. Sadly that is not going to happened and I can make better pasta at home.
