The Pilsner was pretty good. Grilled fish tacos were ok. They brought my daughters food out cold. And I don't mean lukewarm. I mean pre-made out of the refrigerator cold. Didn't comp it. Great beer and great selections. Food, however, not so much. Stopped last night for dinner and were seated pretty quick and someone came over to greet us. It was Thursday night and that is barbecue so went with the tri tip sandwich. Bad choice...dry, hard over cooked tri tip that was hard to chew. Had to ask for more barbecue sauce to make the sandwich easier to swallow. Onion rings were excellent but they need to learn how to cook tri tip so it isn't like hard tack, should be pink in the center and tender. read more

So, this is an updated review. My previous rating was a three, would have been two had I not taken into consideration the previous visit was opening weekend. This time, they are a solid four stars. As far as the beers go, they have gotten everything dialed in. Buried Alive (English Red Ale) and Luck O' the Ginger (Irish Red) are very good ales. Had a taste of Munich Malt Porter and it is tasty as well. While 50% of the beers are IPAs, which is not my type of beer, it is good to see a large selection of non IPA beers. Food wise, the State of Jefferson Burger and Loaded Cobb Salad were very good and the portions were large. The only negative for the evening was that the fries were cold when the plate arrived at the table. Otherwise an enjoyable meal. As I mentioned in my previous post, the space is large and was fully able to accommodate the band that was playing while still allowing our party to carry on a conversation. Honestly this place was horrible. Everything that we ordered that was fried was disgusting. It looked and tasted like it had been cooked in OLD OIL. I wonder how often this places changes their frying oil. We had the chicken tenders, corn tots, onion rings and fries and they were all burnt looking and tasted bitter. So disappointing. My husband and I love final draft and frequent this place often. We love that they have so many fresh local brews made right there with the addition of a few other local brews as well. We bring our pup with us and sit on the patio. They bring us a bowl of water for her and give her loves which is always comforting considering how much of Redding is surprisingly not dog friendly. Final draft has amazing beers and the food is also great. This place has the potential to be an excellent business and make lots of money. BUT, the service is the absolute worst service I have ever had no matter what day or time it is nor if they are busy or empty. You can count on having horrible service. If the management /owners would realize this and changed the customer service, then Final Draft has potential to be a really popping place. read more

We were just in town over a weekend visiting Bethel Church, and had a great time at Final Draft. The Cobb Salad was incredible, especially for a brewery salad (what????)! Moriah, our waitress did a fantastic job at really masking us feel cared for. Would absolutely visit again! read more

I have been here three times now. This place has a good beer selection and good food. The first time, it was great. The last two times however, have been terrible. The last two times were not busy at all, probably with less than 10 people inside. It took a very long time to get our food which was very frustrating especially because the restaurant was not busy. Not to mention after we finished eating it took another 15 or 20 minutes just to get our bill so we could leave. If the food wasn't good, this would be a two star review because of the poor service. read more

I LOVE the chicken poppers here. Fun tip - instead of asking for one flavor, order plain with all four of the sauces. Every single one is bomb especially the peanut butter. We also had the steak tacos.. a little dry but add some tapatio and you are good to go, oh and the guacamole on the side. Bad Service, low quality frozen food, microwave constantly in use, average low quality bar that tries to act as if it has good food. Sorry, nothing good comes from a microwave or out of a freezer. Beer is ok. EDIT: General Manager replies with some an absolutely poor response filled with ego and ignorance. No you do not use a microwave to "cook" your food, you use it to warm it back up after it's been either refrozen or sat out for hours and it is unusually noticable. Heat distribution in the chicken was awful, texture had been ruined, and it was dry and you could tell it was at the very least out all day. Having a microwave in your kitchen immediately discredits you as being a legitimate restaurant, because why in the world would someone want to go to a restaurant that only makes food as good as what the customer could make at home? Why would I go out when I can make the same thing but better, and without using a microwave ever. As far as the manager or whoever it was that spoke to me, he was extremely dirty, clueless, and had no interest in being out on the floor. He wanted back in the kitchen. As far as the waiter goes, they were the most pleasant part unfortunately. When I asked it there was a microwave in the kitchen or if the food was frozen, they said yes to both. They didn't say all was frozen, but they did say a majority is frozen and pre bought, not fresh ingredients and not fresh everyday. Instead of being absolutely ignorant and egotistical in your replies realize real food doesn't come out of a freezer, or microwave. Try any of that in a restaurant with a Michelin star, you'd be berated by every chef in the restaurant. This is nothing more than a McDonald's with beer. read more

Kind of shocked this is a 5 star. Ordered drinks. Only half came - had to ask for the rest again. And then had to ask for refills. There onion rings are large but have no flavor .. have the salt and ketchup ready. The steak salad was ok. But mix it when you get it. The toppings and dressing are on the bottom. The hot pastrami was tasty but that was the best part. My husband ordered the breakfast tacos. They came barely warm - cheese not melted. I wouldn't go back unless it was just for beer. Stopped in for the first time on our way home from Bend, OR. My husband is a huge fan of micro brews and tried Attention Deficit, which he enjoyed. Food was much better than expected, not based on reviews, but rather experience in microbreweries. We tried the BLT with the recommended sweet/spicy bacon and the Cobb salad, both were excellent, quality ingredients, assembled perfectly. We sat at the bar, bartender was attentive and friendly. Pretty good beer, especially the Berliner Weisses and the stouts/porters. The food actually outshone the beers. Chicken sad was perfectly dressed and the burger was very tasty. Stopped in here to cool off and rehydrate on my driving from Mount Shasta down to San Jose, and am so glad I did! They have quite the beer list, so I opted to try a flight of a few! The menus are up on screens, so you get a lot of information about what you're ordering (how much for each size, the IBU, the alcohol percentage and how much a can or growler is to take away). I had two waitresses serving me (one of them was training the other) and both were super helpful and attentive and helped me with everything. This place has a lot of seating and a huge area in the middle where they have games like cornhole etc. I love that this place lets you take beer to go and cans it right there in front of you, but was sad that I couldn't take one of the things they had on tap they were pouring, because it wasn't made by them. Make sure if you're visiting this place and are driving that you have plenty of quarters and change. Everywhere is metered! read more

We gave out second try with Final Draft. We asked for the owner as asked to do by him. We like the owner, his vision for Final Draft and his passion for beer and great pub grub. The menu was changed to reflect the 'made to order' statement with the chips. We certainly are cheering the forward progression for the brewery. We have changed our opinion of the restaurant and will continue to go and enjoy. It is exciting to watch a place like Final Draft grow and prosper. Good luck.
