    Lunch at Fig's Prime
    Kelly G.

This has been our go-to restaurant for every celebration, & business event for years (though I don't always "check in"). After tonight... maybe second string. The food is still delicious, but we were not treated with welcoming arms like we have since they opened. We felt almost unwelcome, & for a special wedding anniversary, it's off-putting. I totally get it that happy hour specials are at the bar. But to make a guest feel like they're lower-class by doing happy hour specials before full-price meals was uncool. (When we were told we could only do happy hour specials at the bar, we thought "OK, we'll enjoy appetizers there first, then move to a table for entrees," but having been made to feel like second-class citizens for doing so made us not even want regular meals.) We enjoyed our time despite the cold shoulder (though Gabby was pleasant. We have decided that we'll no longer eat here for our momentous events. Maybe for an occasional meal, but the "you're just not special" atmosphere we got tonight really changed our thoughts. Sad. It's been a favorite for as long as I remember.

Amazing food, good customer service, generous portions and great ambiance. This visit I came for happy hour and he had a great selection. I've also come to past for dinner and enjoy their steak and table service as well. I personally enjoy the bar better than the way. The seating is set up because I do feel like the tables are too close to each other for my comfort but other than that, the service is always great and the food is always on point. I like that they have their own dedicated parking lot and that it's in the nook of Altamonte/Longwood.

Another great experience at Figs. I just love this place. It really is a hidden gem. Their daily happy hour is amazing! Plenty of martini and mixed drink options and appetizers like the beef carpaccio and house flatbread.

Came here for Happy Hour--really great specials, especially on food. Favorites were the beef carpaccio and the shrimp scampi. The prosciutto flatbread had way too much Gorgonzola on it. I would definitely ask for light on that if you decide to order it. It was pungent and overwhelming. Some of my friends ordered a few items from the regular menu and enjoyed them. Happy hour is only at the bar, 4-7. I would definitely come back for happy hour and to try the main menu. My friends said their steak is delicious.

We visited Fig's Prime for a birthday celebration dinner. It was a group of a little over a dozen people. We were able to be seated within a short period of time. We were all together on the right side of the restaurant. The restaurant is very intimate and appealing and yet still suitable for groups. There was also another party if diners who were celebrating a birthday. The seating is very comfortable. The staff is great. Our wait staff answered any questions we had and offered recommendations. The food was delicious. The oysters were great. I especially loved the Shrimp & Grits. The grits was creamy and had the right amount of flavor and cheese. Overall: A+ I would definitely visit Fig's Prime again. Good staff, better atmosphere and great food.

Surprisingly, I had never heard of this place aside from magical dining. Tonight I had the shrimp and grits. The grits were cheddar but not overwhelming. They came with asparagus. But actually blended well. My appetizer was the Cesar salad. My desert was a chocolate rum torte. (A little piece of Heaven) That atmosphere was quiet and nice place for a girls evening to catch up or a date night. Waiter was very attentive

Boyfriend wanted Lamb for his birthday after reading many reviews I chose Fig's and it did not disappoint!! Absolutely lived up to the hype! Lamb was perfect! My Pappardelle with chicken was heavenly as well! So buttery and delicious! The bread pudding dessert was also delicious and can I say the portion sizes for everything were amazing! Definitely brought some leftovers home! They also brought us out some champagne for a toast, we don't drink so they gave us ginger ale! They definitely made my boyfriend's birthday so special! Decor and coziness was perfect as well! Go check this place out!!

Came here one evening with some friends whom this is their favorite restaurant. The ambiance is pure luxury. You walk in and you feel very upscale. Fancy tablecloths, fancy light fixtures, overly polite servers, the whole nine. We started off with the Goat Cheese Croquettes (served over caramelized onions, pears and figs in a butter-almond liqueur). Really good dish. The sweetness of the fruit, the bitterness of the arugula, the savoriness of the onions, all pair uniquely and so well with that tangy goat, as well as with the crunch from the breading of the fry. So good. So my main event, I got the 16 oz Prime New York Steak, medium rare of course. Just a note, premium hand-cut steaks are prepared on the grill topped with butter, served with complimentary potatoes and asparagus - no substitutions please. So be ready for that. Not that their asparagus and potatoes are bad, but it's just a huge lack of creativity. Anyway, the steak was good. Great sear, well seasoned, a proper cook throughout. The best cooked steak of that thickness that I've had in a while. Kudos to Fig. And I'm not sure about the asparagus, but I always order mash with steaks anyway. I also got to try the 16 oz Veal Chop, cooked medium (gorgonzola crust and honey balsamic glaze). This is it. This veal chop is the reason to come to this restaurant. Amazing cook, the thickness of the chop really accentuated the natural flavor of the veal, served on the bone which was badass, and the accompaniments added a nice depth of flavor that kept every bite of this chop interesting. Wonderful. We finished off with the Chocolate Rum Torte (flourless chocolate torte, fudge like consistency served with raspberry sauce and whipped topping). It was good, exactly as described, but it wasn't as good as I was hoping for, so unless you're a raging chocoholic, get the bread pudding like I wanted to. Overall, as very nice meal. Solid quality food cooked very well.

Pros: Ambiance was gorgeous. It looks like the bottom of an office building from the front, but inside, it's a beautiful hotel style steakhouse, complete with dim candle lighting. Really a nice ambiance. Service was about the same level. White tablecloth, very polite servers, carafe of water at the table, really nice folks. And the food! All this place had to do was nail the cook on the steaks, and it did that. We had a perfect medium rare strip and a perfect medium veal chop. Cons: I'm sure there are economic reasons, but every steak or chop came with the no choice of only two sides, their mashed potatoes and their asparagus. Not cool. Would have deducted a star for this lack of creativity if it wasn't for the sides actually being delicious. Tips: Get the veal. Any good steakhouse can get you a great strip, but the veal chop from this place was different, on another level.

I came here for my birthday dinner. We had a reservation for 6pm. We came a little early to take advantage of the Happy Hour but were disappointed that we could not partake since we were seated and they only allow HH at the bar. We ordered Espresso Martinis and they were top tier! I've tried them at many restaurants and Fig's has some of the best I've tasted! We ordered appetizers (Avocado Crab Stack & House Flatbread) and were ready to order entrees but our waitress walked off abruptly after taking our appetizer orders. The Avocado Crab Stack was slightly bland but the crab was incredibly fresh! My boyfriend enjoyed the flatbread so much he ate it ALL! I had a bite and it was really good but I'm not a big flatbread/pizza fan. Eventually, we were able to order entrees (New Zealand Rack of Lamb & Chilean Sea Bass) both were really delicious but I think the Sea Bass was my favorite meal of the night and stole the show! It was a buttery, melt in your mouth situation. Seasoned to perfection and the risotto was truly the best I've ever had! For dessert we had the Bourbon Fig Bread Pudding. That was flavorful and the strawberries and drizzle of sauce heightened the taste. We definitely should've asked for more sauce. We(and now you) know for the future. Things that bothered me: -The couches against the windows were difficult to get in and out of and were lower than the chairs. The difference in seating arrangements at the same table would seem awkward when people are sitting across from each other. My boyfriend and I chose to sit in the chairs instead of the couch. -The SINGLE bathroom is right by the kitchen area and bar with no real wall/barrier.

First time visiting Fige prime steakhouse, came during Magical dining and what a great experience I have. Food and service was excellent. Elegant vibes and great decor. Food was so tasty. The menu was exceptional with great options. For the first course I got the goat cheese croquete, Second course filet migon, steak was tender and perfectly cook accompanied with mash potatoes and asparagous. For the dessert i got a tiramiso.

Awesome food, & experience! If you can ask for Leo's section-he's awesome!! They really made our birthday celebration extra special!

    8oz Filet

The service was great and the food was delicious! I had the 8oz filet, which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I had tiramisu for dessert, but would have preferred it with less cocoa powder on top. The ambiance was very relaxing with soft playing music to set the tone.

I'd heard this won best Altamonte Springs restaurant 2025, so we tried them out this past Saturday night. Since they're known for both pizza and pasta and we wanted to try both, we ordered the Basil Pesto pizza ($20) and the Rigatoni Alla Bolognese ($20). The Rigatoni came in a reasonable, not overly large but still filling serving that was flavorful and delicious, with a proportion of meat that was higher than the proportion of pasta, which was great. The Basil Pesto pizza was the unexpected highlight. Though it came later than the pasta, it did for good reason--it came straight from the oven, with warm, deliciously fluffy crust and *real* chunks of melted *fresh* mozzarella. The olive oil made the pizza feel light and not heavy at all, and the leftover oil served as great dip for our bread. For the money, I would've liked some light complimentary table bread while waiting for our entrees, as it took a while to deliver the food to our table, which I could tell was because this place is very popular with DoorDash and UberEats based on the steady stream of drivers in and out of the door, crowded around the pick-up area, and likely delaying our food somewhat, but this didn't detract from the cozy vibes at all, and the quality of the food more than made up for the slight delay. They're closed Sundays and Mondays and close at 9pm on the other days, so keep that in mind. There's limited seating, maybe 4-5 booths on either side and a row of tables down the middle, so keep that in mind when planning a spur of the moment visit like we did. We were asked if we had a reservation, which we didn't, but lucked out that a table had just opened up when we arrived. The menus are digital (iPads), which can be a pro or a con depending on your perspective on how long you looked at Bad Screen all day at work, but I will say the UI was very well laid out and easy to find the menu items, which is a plus. Our server was polite and attentive, making sure to ask me if I was ready for the check on my way back from the bathroom. The bathroom is an experience; you have to walk *through* the kitchen to get there (please make sure to shout "Corner!" as you pass), which adds to the vibes, and there are two, which is plenty for this size of restaurant. Saw a flyer on the bathroom wall that they've recently opened a food stall inside the Great Southern Box Company on North OBT (serving pizza only at that location), which adds to that location's great selections. Overall, this is a cozy, tucked-away Altamonte Springs gem with delicious, high-quality dishes that works well for an intimate date night and one that I'd definitely visit again.

I wasn't sure what to expect and didn't have super high expectations, but the food beat my expectations. We shared some calamari, a spicy sautéed shrimp appetizer, and crab cake. They were all very tasty. Everyone ordered something different as their entree. We were all pleased with our meals. I ordered the Steak Frites. The steak was tender and juicy, and the truffle Parmesan shoestring fries were perfect. For dessert we shared the bread pudding à la mode and a slice of carrot cake. We recently made reservations to celebrate our son's and fiancee's engagement. The service was very good -thanks to Chad- in spite of a very busy Friday night, and also surprising because the four of us each received a champagne flute with a couple ounces of the bubbly, courtesy of a manger, to hep us celebrate! Of course the dark wood accents, the booths for a little more intimacy, and fires (real and video) really enhanced our enjoyment of the night. We selected flatbreads, entrees, a starter and a side for our meals. My Lump Crab and Shrimp Stuffed Mushroom started my night right with a wonderful crunchy combo kept hot in the little iron pan. I found that the Chipotle BBQ shrimp flatbread toppings complemented well, with the spice and heat of the poblano peppers mixing with the sweet acidity of the pineapple. My 3 ounce pour of the Côte Mas 'Rosé Aurore' from France provided a mellow yet slightly sweet taste that paired well with my seafood. We finished off with the mini desserts which our son and his fiancée thoroughly enjoyed, and I orders a cappuccino that tasted lovely and hit the spot. Seasons 52 showed their best for us tonight, and it was a very enjoyable night as a result.
