Cafe Murano is situated on a nice lake with pretty view. We sat at bar which was nice and staff was friendly. Full bar selection and great menu. We had a fungi experience Ordered the stuffed mushrooms WHICH WERE AMAZING!!! just wow- if you go I recommend ordering them. We also had a pizza... can you guess we got the mushrooms pizza which was very tasty! The crust was that crunchy burnt bits with it being cooked in a wood fire oven. Highly recommend this place .

We had a reservation on Valentine's Day at 5 pm. We normally never go out to eat on this holiday, because it's a nightmare anywhere honestly. We were out of town, so we decided to chance it. We were sat immediately and our server showed up about 5 min later with waters. We got our first round of drinks in and a calamari put in. Drinks came out quickly and so did the appetizer. Our server never brought us bread, even after asking for it. So I had to flag down another server, and he brought it immediately. That annoyed me, but I was just happy to get bread. I know working holidays in the restaurant industry is really difficult. Our entrees took over an hour to come out, but tbh we don't get to go out much, so it was nice to just enjoy each other's company and the view was beautiful as well. We enjoyed another round of drinks. Food finally came and was delicious! The pasta was homemade and I added a lobster tail for $20 and shredded it on my pasta. It was great!!! Our server disappeared for a while and he never asked us if we wanted dessert, but we were ready to get outta there after 2 hours. Overall, we enjoyed the evening and the food and drinks were great!

We went here for an "early Valentine's" dinner to avoid the insane February 14th. We had been years ago (pre-Covid) it is not that it wasn't good because it is, however it is about an hour away from where we live and we just haven't made it back until now. We did go early around 5:00-5:30 and were greeted and sat right away on the patio per our request. Kylie was our server, super nice and helpful to my wife as she navigated the menu. I knew what I wanted before we got there- Veal Piccata! One of my faves and this one did not disappoint, tender with the perfect blend of lemon, butter and capers. We always enjoy patio dining when we can and this was nice over looking the water in Cranes Roost Park, but as we left I wished we had sat inside as it seemed very warm, cozy and a little more "romantic" than the patio but again that was our choice.

Great place for a drink and some Music. We came here after Red Hot and Boom. We did not eat but my husband got some craft beers He said the Bartenders were just acting dilly dally and were unengaged with the customers . Took forever to get a beer and only two people at bar. But overall the place is really nice Love the Music.

It's a cozy, romantic vibe inside.

Excellent brunch! Nice atmosphere, crowd is on the older side. Our waitress was great. The inside was really nice! It's got a warm, romantic vibe for sure and would make a great date night. We're looking forward to trying dinner. For brunch, we shared the steak and eggs, and lobster/ricotta pizza. Delicious pairing!! Highly recommend going for it!

The mushroom pizza (add truffle oil--trust me) is still a favorite, and while I usually go for a Chianti, the beer flight was a fun change of pace. Our favorite pour was Single in Havana. Debbie took great care of us with friendly, attentive service, and we love the view on the dog-friendly patio at sunset.

Stopped by for dinner after our movie on a random weekday evening, and a nice dinner. It wasn't super busy, so we got seated right away; but the service was kinda slow and we had to wave down our server to get our orders taken. The bread with olive oil was ok! It was toasted, but still felt a bit stale. The meatballs were also ok; the portion was very good for 3 people. I liked my pasta, but my husband thought his pizza was a bit chewy (not in a good way) and the sausage meat on top isn't our favorite because the texture felt dry and tough. It reheated better the next day in the air fryer. The dessert was just fine; I'd skip it here. I hear their brunch or live entertainment nights are better here, so I'd come back to check out those events.

Cafe Murano has been one of my go-to spots for years, and I finally realized it was overdue for a review. The restaurant is located next to Cranes Roost Park, offering great lake views and a strong local feel. Fridays and Saturdays tend to be the busiest, but they also offer a popular Sunday brunch. Parking can be a bit confusing at first due to the park layout -- we usually park in the movie theater lot across the street, which makes things easy. Food & Drinks The food here is consistently excellent. The pasta tastes fresh, and we honestly haven't had a dish we didn't enjoy -- though the bucatini is our go-to. We usually pair it with one of their pizzas, which are also very good. Appetizers are solid across the board, with the Brussels sprouts being a standout. The bread service deserves a mention as well -- warm bread paired with olive oil, balsamic, and Parmesan, and we almost always need more than one serving. Drinks are equally as great. They offer rotating craft beers, and their signature cocktails are well done. I'd recommend the Old Fashioned, something from the wine list, or the Dutch Lace. Service Service has always been excellent. We've been coming here for years and regularly see the same servers, which speaks to both consistency and a well-run restaurant. Final Thoughts Great food, great drinks, and a relaxed local vibe. A nice bonus is being able to take a walk along the boardwalk after your meal when the weather cooperates. A reliable favorite we're always happy to return to.

    Eggplant Al Forno

Came here for brunch with some friends. I've never been and our server suggested the Eggplant Al Forno as it was their #1 ordered menu item. It was delicious as described, but I would've liked it with just a little less sauce. We sat out on the patio and wished the fans were a bit cooler as they weren't in our direction. Overall, friendly service and the timing was just right.

We were visiting my 82 year old parents due to a serious medical crisis and decided to stop by for a quick drink after dinner. We were seated promptly outside as it was a lovely evening. Kylie M was our server and she helped with our wine selections, advised us of other fun restaurants with outdoor dining, recommended dishes here for a future visit, etc. She is so friendly and professional, ask for her fora special occasion or anytime as she is that good. The restaurant is lovely inside as well, but on a cooler evening sit outside with a view of the lake and watch the sun set. We can't wait to return and try the food. From tables nearby, it sure looked amazing.

My husband and I have been wanting to try Cafe Murano ever since we spotted it from the AMC parking lot across the street. When we finally did try it, my husband exclaimed, "Why haven't we been here sooner?!" Cafe Murano is among the many shops and restaurants that surround Crane's Roost Park in Altamonte Springs. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and have both a front and back entrance. The decor is what I call New York Italian. Meaning, it's reminiscent of decor you'd see in Italian restaurants in New York City. Our server, Cole, was excellent. He gave great suggestions, checked on us often and made sure we were happy. Our meal began with complimentary bread and herbed olive oil. It was so good that we gladly accepted more when offered. My husband had a side Cesar salad (you can get it with or without anchovies - he chose without) and I had the house side salad. Both were fresh and a good way to prepare our pallets for our entrees. I had the chicken della casa and made my husband try it so that he could try to recreate the dish. My husband chose the house special: a NY strip steak with garlic butter and sautéed mushrooms. It came with delicious (I know because I tried them) smashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. A well-rounded dish that my husband enjoyed. We were full but also wanted to try one of their delicious-looking desserts, so we chose the Limoncello cake. It was light, lemony and just what we were looking for. We most definitely will go back to Cafe Murano!

All of the dinners were authentic, large portioned, and reasonably priced for the quality of the meal. The desserts were also phenomenal - we got a pistachio cake and a lemon cake. Couldn't decide which I liked better. When you get to the top three there is no longer even a "best" discussion anymore; it really comes down to the style you are in the mood for. Service, for a pizza place, is beyond amazing. The place itself also has a "market" but it doesn't distract from making you feel like you are still in a quiet restaurant - as much as a pizza place will ever be. True, I had the BITE30 menu on this most recent visit. The Italian Meatballs - 100% Beef hand rolled meatballs served in our from-scratch marinara and topped with house croutons and grated cheese to start were amazing. The Stella - black truffle ricotta, mozzarella. Served with tomato, arugula, and a ariston balsamic dressing, topped with a burrata ball, well, what can I say. I'd heard this won best Altamonte Springs restaurant 2025, so we tried them out this past Saturday night. Since they're known for both pizza and pasta and we wanted to try both, we ordered the Basil Pesto pizza ($20) and the Rigatoni Alla Bolognese ($20). The Rigatoni came in a reasonable, not overly large but still filling serving that was flavorful and delicious, with a proportion of meat that was higher than the proportion of pasta, which was great. The Basil Pesto pizza was the unexpected highlight. Though it came later than the pasta, it did for good reason--it came straight from the oven, with warm, deliciously fluffy crust and *real* chunks of melted *fresh* mozzarella. The olive oil made the pizza feel light and not heavy at all, and the leftover oil served as great dip for our bread. For the money, I would've liked some light complimentary table bread while waiting for our entrees, as it took a while to deliver the food to our table, which I could tell was because this place is very popular with DoorDash and UberEats based on the steady stream of drivers in and out of the door, crowded around the pick-up area, and likely delaying our food somewhat, but this didn't detract from the cozy vibes at all, and the quality of the food more than made up for the slight delay. They're closed Sundays and Mondays and close at 9pm on the other days, so keep that in mind. There's limited seating, maybe 4-5 booths on either side and a row of tables down the middle, so keep that in mind when planning a spur of the moment visit like we did. We were asked if we had a reservation, which we didn't, but lucked out that a table had just opened up when we arrived. The menus are digital (iPads), which can be a pro or a con depending on your perspective on how long you looked at Bad Screen all day at work, but I will say the UI was very well laid out and easy to find the menu items, which is a plus. Our server was polite and attentive, making sure to ask me if I was ready for the check on my way back from the bathroom. The bathroom is an experience; you have to walk *through* the kitchen to get there (please make sure to shout "Corner!" as you pass), which adds to the vibes, and there are two, which is plenty for this size of restaurant. Saw a flyer on the bathroom wall that they've recently opened a food stall inside the Great Southern Box Company on North OBT (serving pizza only at that location), which adds to that location's great selections. Overall, this is a cozy, tucked-away Altamonte Springs gem with delicious, high-quality dishes that works well for an intimate date night and one that I'd definitely visit again.
