Had a 5:00 dinner reservation for a larger group to celebrate a birthday. The place is small so definitely recommend reservations. The decor is cute for the small space, but they still have window A/C units and they had just opened so there was a small musty smell when we first arrived. It did seems to lessen as we were there. We were not too hungry so just ordered entrees. My husband got the Zuppa Di Pesce and he really enjoyed his dish and said was cooked great. I had the Pollo Francese which I enjoyed, but did have a little more butter than I would have preferred. One of the kids had the fettuccine alfredo which she said was ok for flavor. The other had bruschetta and calamari. She prefers cheese in her bruschetta and this version did not have it, but said it was very good. The calamari was also good. The service was good, nothing over the top or missing. There was no mention of the birthday, but we also didn't want dessert since we were full from our meals. There was nothing that stood out as really good or bad in our experience and was ok for us.

The spicy Zuppa di Pesce is awesome! I asked them to make it for extra spicy. It was so delicious!!

Wow what a great meal! My husband had the spicy Zuppa di Pesce and absolutely loved it. A steal at $30. I had the Penne alla Gorgonzola and I could not get over how delicious the cream sauce was. I wanted to eat the whole thing but restrained myself. I can't wait to go back. The service was excellent and I love the quaint atmosphere. We've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed.

Drive by this place a few times. No long wait n a Friday night. We sat outside. Alfresco. The outside seating is perfect for a January night. The salmon was perfectly cooked. The capers and onions he buttery sauce was the perfect combination. The salmon had a slight crisp. The lasagna was ok, better than mine. It was cheesy and cooked right. I would recommend this place.

I went here for a party that was outside. The patio area is cute. You can hear all the traffic from the street. There are no fans, but they had a heating lamp that wasn't on, because it was hot out. The food is good here. Now the service... was not so great. The girls were so rude when you asked for something I got a whole long story instead of a I'm sorry and quick polite reason why I couldn't get something. They were not accommodating at all! This place might be nice for a date, but not for parties outside.

A decade later and all I can say is the food was better this time. The main waiter (owner?) still seemed absolutely bothered he had customers to serve. The waitress was very sweet and attentive so she was a bright spot in the evening. Decor and comfort levels have not changed. It's still a chill romantic vibe but poorly air conditioned (it's a converted house so not a huge surprise). We had a reservation for 6 of us and we're seated at a small round table that with place settings and bread basket would have been challenging for 4 people let alone 6. Thankfully as the appetizers came out the waitress had the good sense to pull over another small round table and it was easier to navigate. Bruschetta was presented on flattened and overly oiled/toasted halves of their rolls (which the rolls are good when not soaked in oil and bitterly toasted) which killed the flavor of the toppings. Toasted cheese ravioli were just that. Calamari was cooked very well and still tender so I give points for that. Lobster ravioli was a favorite across the table in flavor and texture, gnocchi was good, carbonara was fantastically smoky, filet was cooked a bit too rare for my friend but perfectly for me and had a killer mushroom demi. Rigatoni vodka was well prepared. My chicken Francesca was bitter beyond the normal standards you'd expect of a lemon and white wine butter sauce (almost like they used lemon pith and a very astringent white) but the chicken was more tender this time. Salads are still not included but the prices haven't gone up much in a decade so kudos to that. Oh, note on the salad - I have no clue what their house dressing is but it was NOT good. A weird pink color like a creamy French but didn't taste like that. Almost like they emulsified carrots and olive oil and a splash of vinegar? Do not recommend. If it's still here in another 10 years maybe we'll try again.

Calamari Fritti

An absolutely wonderful dinner. Food was fabulous and also the service. Love the ambiance of the place also.

100+ AAAA and anything else I can give this hidden and yet not-so-hidden gem. My wife and I have passed this paces 100+ times when headed towards the I-4 ramp. We are so glad we finally decided to call and make reservations... yes, you will need to call and if they have room to accommodate you. Our first try was almost a bust as there was no room the night we wanted to go... BUT... someone canceled and they called us back!!! Yea, restaurants still do that and we said YES! This place is definitely authentic, you also most feel you have stepped into this little piece of Italy. The building is like an old two story home very small, so once it's packed... it's packed! We were taken upstairs to a little table set for three. It was me, my wife and my daughter. The menu explains each dish and there is no question that you are getting quality here. Bruschetta - awesome appetizer to share with loved ones. Crab and Corn Bisque - wow, I've had bisque before but not like this... warm and creamy... and the crab was not overpowering. Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken - my daughter had this. It had a light, delicate flavor. The textures and tastes balanced well, and while she didn't prefer the consistency of the sauce, those who enjoy a less thick sauce will love it. Lasagna - at first glance it seemed rather oily, BUT it had a ton of meat and flavor. Let me put it this way... my wife had her own plate and ate from the lasagna. It's definitely a good choice. Pollo alla Mediterránea - this was a great selection. I loved the sauce (with spinach and mozzarella cheese)... it was creamy but not too heavy. The chicken was also cooked well and the side of green beans paired perfectly. I do recommend a glass of wine from their list to accompany any of their plates. Filetto ai funghi (Filet mignon with mushroom and brandy and a touch of demi/glacé) - my wife absolutely loved this plate. Her filet was buttery and just melted in your mouth. The sauce was delish and done to perfection for her. Cannoli and cheesecake. Well we could not decide so we got both!!!! You can't go wrong with their desserts!

This is one of those places where ive told myself for years I wanted to go and that finally happened this week! The restaurant is very cozy and small inside and it has a nice garden seating area as well. They bring you bread and have balsamic and olive oil on the table so you can dip it. We then ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer and it was so savory. The olive oil was amazing and all the ingredients were very fresh. For entree we had the Spaghetti alla Carbonara and Penne alla Vodka. The spaghetti was not heavy and tasted amazing. The penne was also really delicious and it came with Salmon! Both portions were really good. Our servers were very attentive as well and would make sure we had everything we needed to make for a lovely evening. Will definitely be coming back to try more dishes!

A cozy little house coverted into a restaurant in downtown Orlando. Exterior is cute. Outdoor seating area is beautiful. However, Interior looks very old and the carpet needs a good deep clean. We went here on a weekday night, sat upstairs and we were the only ones there. The food service was quick. They accommodated our food restrictions and everything tasted good. The highlight was the Tiramisu!! Loved it. Perfect for a nice quite meal. A little expensive but worth trying it out.

Reservation recommended seating is limited, so is parking. The waiter is nice & attentive, they also speak Italian. Very traditional Italian feel. Comes with complimentary bread & oil/butter. Our pastas were delish with tasty sauce, seems authentic. We'd come back!

I was here because my parents bought 3 Groupons and we decided to try the place to get Italian dinner while in town. They were retired and lived in Poinciana for 15 years, but we never made it to this area of Orlando ever because of the distance. Make sure you always read the fine print on the Groupon! Silvio was our server and he's either the manager or the owner...but it's clear he couldn't care less about the customer experience or the quality of the meal. Let's begin: We ordered a bottle of red wine for the meal. Napa, $36. What came to our table was a wine from Chile. I chose to get a small Caesar salad before my entree, nobody else ordered beyond entrees. Came out, tons of croutons and parm cheese was coating the entire top. Once I dug in- saw the lettuce was borderline spoiled. Brown colored throughout, not just the edges. The excess amount of cheese and croutons were to distract from the main parts of the salad.. The color from the dressing left on the plate once I set aside the croutons was ORANGE. My father chose to order the Zuppa de Pesce, asking to substitute the capellini for linguini. Silvio nodded and I took that as confirmation he was on it. My mother ordered the chicken Piccata, and I chose the Veal Piccata. These plates came with green beans and capellini pasta in the white wine, butter, caper, lemon sauce. My father was disappointed that his meal did not have linguini. I said, "let's let this go and try to enjoy the meal" he dug in and started shelling his seafood. Lots of different stuff, fish, bay scallops, shrimp, mussels, clams. Good portion for the price. He enjoyed it. My veal dish came with 3 medallions pounded thin and the taste was decent. Where I had an issue was that the green beans weren't trimmed so the edges were cut off and the stringy sides made it impossible to cut the beans into manageable cuts or bites. It was like eating beans tied together by twine. I enjoyed my dinner. I ate it all, and was pleased for the size, price, and execution (besides the beans...which I admit many places don't trim the ends off but at least get the stringy sides cut!) Where this meal went off the rails was when my mother found a hair in her dish. She was probably about halfway through and we pointed it out to the other server/hostess who greeted us warmly when we arrived. She immediately took the plate in the back. My father made a small plate of his pasta that he shared with my mom. She ate that and was clearly grossed out and bummed. The server/hostess who greeted us took charge and then asked if my mom wanted that dish refired. She declined since I was already done and she was now sharing my dad's entree. Not the worst situation but we made it work. Where I started to get pissed was when Silvio tossed the Groupon back in my face and said "we do not accept this, you have to use the online app". It was as if he wanted to make this process as difficult as possible for us to use the Groupon. Once I set it up for my dad, the bill arrived and it showed the $30 "discount" even though my father paid $18 for it. So it's $12 off. I was unpleased about the attitude of Silvio and the fact that he was acting as if we were inconveniencing him by using a Groupon the restaurant offered! So the bill came. He took 50% off my mother's entree. She did eat about half, but finding a hair in a dish is not acceptable. She was honestly grossed out, and all of us were affected by this. But adding up everything- wine that was not from CA, borderline spoiled romaine salad, hair in my mother's entree- zero acknowledgment of anything from our server but more from the other. Then the disrespect and attitude with the Groupon was almost to a point where I was going to make a scene. We decided to leave and I wrote Groupon to tell them about this experience and they said "no refunds" we asked if we could spend it on a different restaurant and they said no. So Groupon has lost out on my father as a customer over $30, and now we all warn everyone we know not to get bamboozled by these types of things. I'll never push Groupons again since I have had issues with them before. This was flagrant and the last straw. If Silvio is the owner, then in my opinion this place is going to be out of business in the very near future. If he is the manager, ownership should consider sending in some undercover diners to test him and the service and quality of food so they know what their customers are getting. This place gets one star because of the host and her attempts at navigating us through this experience as best as she could. I liked my veal piccata, but still cannot get over the way my family was treated over the printed Groupon and that there was a hair in the food. You've been warned. Maybe at one time this place had meals that were of higher quality, more popular, and customer service was probably very important. After we walked out, I offered to give my dad $30 to never go back.

Still 5 stars since I can't bump it up another notch. This restaurant can stand on their own with their standards. Where they stand out is with their specials. The chef here is always innovating and trying some new dishes. I wish I could get a notification of what's on the menu each night. I've had some amazing surprises with the taste and presentation of these dishes. I think sometimes that the lack of service has kept me from eating out much, and then I go to Christinis where the service is too-notch. Great service can make lackluster food taste better but Christinis doesn't have to worry there. Their food is too notch as well. It is old world attentive service, and you can't help but feel special when you go there. Our server this evening was Atilla (sp?) and he has a commanding presence and keeps a close eye on things in an unobtrusive way. It was my birthday and they treated me very well. Okay, let's get to the food. Bread service before the meal was excellent. The bread came with an eggplant sauce that was excellent. They offer butter and olive oil but I say to forego that, and just have the eggplant sauce/dip. We both had the shrimp cocktail, which wasn't the plan. But the shrimp were so large and we hadn't had a shrimp cocktail in a long time, and boy was it good. The shrimp was fresh and as mentioned, very large. We then had a Caesar salad which was good. The cheese was good, but I was surprised that there were no anchovies. We like classic Caesar with anchovies, but the salad was good nonetheless. We split a small portion of the fagottini pasta with pear and Gorgonzola cream sauce. It was the absolute best. It sounds like an odd flavor combo but it works. We both had the veal (their specialty) hubby had the veal picatta. I had the Marsala. Both very good. It came with a polenta fritter that was good, I'm not sure what was inside, it had a nice flavor, maybe pimentos? Even though tiramisu or crème brûlée is usually my go to if having dessert, we went for cannolis for a "lighter" option. Very good as well. The last one the list is ambiance. Beautiful tables, classy elegant restaurant, and tuxedoed waitstaff. Excellent!
