Food is delicious. Chicken piccata , veal, pasta with vodka sauce, and of course, their marinara are all wonderful.

Outstanding Italian restaurant. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had meatballs and fettuccini. My wife had figs shrimp fettuccini. Our other friends had eggplant rollatini and spaghetti with marinara sauce. Everyone raved about their dinners. If you are ever in the valley you must try Figaretti's. By way our waitress was very helpful and efficient. read more

Came to Wheeling/Oglebay when Dorian ruined our beach plans. Found this little gem and couldn't be happier. Great wine and food selection, quaint atmosphere and great service. Highly recommend stopping if you're in the area. read more

Only takes reservations for party's of 6 or more but worth the hour wait. Great calamari as an appetizer. Those chicken fingers on the kids menu are the biggest I've ever seen at any restaurant. read more

Ordered via delivery to a nearby hotel. Delivery was fine and quicker than I had a right to expect. Food was worse than meh. Tuna looked old, and was unseasoned dry and tasteless. Risotto was bland mush. The steamed broccoli, however, was excellent. Cooked with a good crunch and delightfully green. All was cold, but delivery will do that to you. Made me wish for a chain restaurant. read more

I liked the marina sauce, my date did not. Thought the restaurant was a little too packed for a pandemic. Overall, it's better than an Olive Garden. It's a real Italian restaurant but feels that they are phoning it in at this point and living off of a reputation from decades ago. read more

Came here for dinner based upon the Yelp reviews. We were staying at a local resort which was about 15/20 minutes away. There is a small parking lot on the side of the building. We entered the first door that we came to which was not to the restaurant. The gentleman did point us in the right direction. There apparently is another lot diagonally behind the restaurant. The restaurant was reasonably crowded which was a good sign. We were seated right away. The restaurant's interior was dark and somewhat dated. We didn't have to wait long for our server to arrive. Water and bread were brought to the table along with a plate of olive oil with some cheese and a decorative amount of balsamic vinegar. The bread was fresh but nondescript. My friend ordered a veal chop and I ordered the scallops. He enjoyed his chop. The scallops came with roasted potatoes and asparagus. The scallops were served with drawn butter which would not be my first choice. The scallops were properly cooked but I'm used to more flavor to avoid drawn butter. We also enjoyed a bottle of Malbec. I didn't think the pricing was that bad but perhaps it's considered Hugh for this area. We didn't have any appetizers or dessert and would give this a second chance if in the area s read more

My wife and I had lunch here Monday after having had dinner at Ye Old Alpha Sunday, and the contrast between the two was vast. Even though they're both long-established neighborhood restaurants, and both had pretty basic decor, Ye Old Alpha felt like that place where everybody knows your name, and Figaretti's felt like ... well ... a dive. Small building, difficult parking lot, very dark interior, the massive bar occupying most of the floor space. The food was acceptable -- spaghetti and meatballs for me, meat ravioli for Irene -- but most of the time I had a "what are we doing here?" feeling. The menu was very limited, but I get the impression that's just the state of lunch at Figaretti's, and that we'd have experienced a fuller menu if we'd come at night. I'm sure there must be an appeal to this place, because they sell their bottled marina sauce locally, but I just didn't see it. I can't see us returning. While the food was decent, the ambience took away from the taste. read more

Decided to give Figaretti's Restaurant another try after my last experience. Some family was in town and said this was a place they've wanted us to take them to. I ordered Gnocchis with Figaretti Marinara Sauce and a side of peas. A couple Gnocchis were cold, all Gnocchis were overcooked, and sauce was thinner than I've ever experienced through my many experiences here. It's sad. I was hoping for better. There are few places in town where you can get the full package- Local owned/homemade/upscale experience. Others in my party said their meals were okay. Nobody disliked. But, because I've experienced great Figaretti's in the past I know their food could be better. And, after all to justify the prices. Dino, if you read this, I feel Figaretti's Restaurant has more potential. Thicker sauce, more attention to food and prep. If there were more restaurant competitors to choose from we would probably no longer keep giving Figs another chance hoping for what we long for from the past. read more

I thought the food was good. I'd recommend the meatballs and the homemade salad dressing. Value for lunch was also pretty good. Service the same. Because of those redeeming qualities, I didn't rate it lower. I was pretty displeased with the salad (the lettuce was pretty much bad). Also, for an Italian restaurant the bread was not great. I'll try it again at some point to see if the salad was a fluke. read more

Really liked this place. The wait was a little long because it was a Saturday night and it's a small restaurant. They do have a bar, but it was full. The staff was extremely friendly. We had the appetizer sampler. It was great except the cheese sticks were a little too breaded but that's just my personal preference. The zucchini was great. I had the lobster ravioli but with vodka sauce instead of the marinara and it was excellent. The only bad thing is that I wasn't hungry enough to eat very much of it because it is extremely filling. Made a nice lunch the next day though. read more

On Friday October 16th, I ordered delivery through delivery.com from Figarettis. I was really craving a regular Italian breaded chicken cutlet but it's not something that's normally on their menu. So I had the bright idea to order their already delicious Chicken Parm & ask that they not put anything on the breaded chicken, to make it a regular chicken cutlet. And they did! I was so excited when I received it. Not only did they take my special request but they also packaged it in a separate container & filled the second container almost to the rim of pasta & sauce! Thankfully, I had my own lemon to squeeze on the chicken cutlet. It absolutely satisfied my craving. Thank you for going above & beyond to make my order perfect! Also, my daughter loved the ravioli as always! read more

The sauce is old school. I've been eating at Figs over 50 years. Still tastes the same. Nice atmosphere and great service.

My boyfriend loved his meal, and parts of mine were delicious, and parts needed work. Part of the reason why I gave it three stars was because of the odd responses I got to some of my questions. Knowing it was a relatively small town, I prefaced my question of "Do you have a gluten free menu" with "this is probably a no, but". The young girl at the hostess stand said "no" immediately. She obviously had no idea what gluten was, and rather than asking, just said no. I had looked at the menu online and figured I could find something, so we stayed. I asked my waitress a few questions about seasons on some of their seafood options and she said "seasoning salt and some other stuff", rather than going back to the kitchen to ask. She seemed pretty sure there was no flour or breading, and I ordered the seared scallops. My boyfriend, not needing to be gluten free, ordered the lasagna. He said he was good, and ate about 2/3 of it because the plate was MASSIVE. I think the slab was about the size of my head. We started out with a tomato and mozzarella salad, which was not how it was described on the menu (it came out with olives and onions, and the menu said something else all together), but it was good. I had the seared scallops. They were below average at best- they were fresh, but hadn't been very well cleaned and the "seasoning salt" put on them didn't really season them at all. The sides were all good. My scallops also came with a giant vat of butter and an orange, which was an extremely odd garnish, but whatever. The meal was decent, and clearly a loved spot because when we left it was packed for the dinner rush. Service was fine (although the servers should probably learn a bit more about their menu), and the food was beyond reasonably priced. Drinks, an appetizer and two entrees for about 75 (with tip!) ? Can't beat that. read more

Am in town on business and 3 of us went here for dinner. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table but it was so worth it. Great pasta dishes, the shrimp in mine were huge. Very tasty, desserts were fabulous especially the peanut butter pie. No complaints and reasonably priced. read more

It's OK overall. Foods fair, restaurant itself is super cramped, parking lot is small but they have complimentary valet. The specials were all seafood when we went which was exciting. We had the: -seafood stuffed shells with alfredo: I really like the alfredo it's creamy, smooth and not too rich. There was too much sauce on the shells though, I'd light sauce or sauce on the side. They shells had nice big pieces of lobster (I think it was actually lagustino, but it's still delicious and fits thebprice) and lots of crab. -stuffed flounder: ok, flounder was a little dry, the crab stuffing was 85% bread and on the salty side however it was only $15. -manicotti: I really enjoyed the cheese filing, the ricotta is excellent. The noodle was a little tough. read more

Being from NY, this is the best Italian joint, maybe restaurant, in Wheeling WV. Abbey's probably best bartender in the area.

Figaretti's Restaurant. Who would've thought Italian for lent. Well let me tell you - seafood manicotti and Parmesan garlic tilapia were top notch. So good. I highly recommend! And Italian almond cake for dessert. read more

We accidentally found Figaretti's while visiting Oglebay for the weekend in from Cleveland.... And what a pleasant surprise it was!! Definitely worth the wait worth the wait! When you're in from of town and you find a restaurant with an hour wait and no parking you know it's got to be good! I enjoyed a glass of sweet red perfectly chilled Lambrusco while we waited. Our waitress Lacy was AWESOME! She was nice, pretty and fast. I had the hand pounded veal with alfredo sauce instead of red sauce "that's my favorite way to eat veal" and they accommodated me with no problem. My husband said the lasagna was excellent!. We also had the tiramisu and it was delicious as well! Thank you from Cleveland! Can't wait to visit you all again. O H I O ! read more

I've always heard about Figaretti's sauce, but didn't actually know it was a restaurant! Haha. Well, I visited Figaretti's not to long ago with out of town family, who also loved it. Delicious. Loved the food, loved the atmosphere and the young lady that greeted us was super nice and friendly.

This is not your chain Italian restaurant, it is much better. It surprises you as the outside of the restaurant leaves you wondering if its just another mom & pop dinner in a small town with so so food. Let me say most of the dishes I have had here were more than satisfying. The bar is also a good place to relax. The portions to price are fair, and the service is excellent on most nights. read more

Over rated. The rating brought us in....tge food will keep us away. The service was great. The wait staff, wonderful. The bread is not an Italian bread but more like Wonder Bread. Great food. Small and charming restaurant. When it is available, the berry Moscota tirimisu is fabulous. I visit from out of state. Whenever I am in the area, I must eat here at least twice. Figaretti's Restaurant - Chicken Parm with linguini and meat sauce. My favorite. - Italian Near Me - Wheeling, West Virginia

Excellent food and servers. Our party (which was larger) was separated into different tables which I feel we should have been notified of since we made our reservation in August, even though I do understand why we were separated. Hostess was kind of rude. She did not seat us, but pointed out our tables which was a little unprofessional and she seemed inconvenienced by us. Overall, pretty happy with our experience. read more
