The food was really delicious but it was extremely over priced and extremely small portions!

Really at a cross roads reading the other reviews after our lunch experience here. This vibes were…read morecozy and everyone at the door was welcoming and friendly. And that's where it pretty much ended for me. We were greeted by 2 individuals prior to being sat. Once we were sat I was told I couldn't have any outside drinks. I was carrying a hot tea in a paper cup when we walked in. No one else mentioned this. I later read a posting in the bathroom about outside drinks being prohibited. Seemed like it was mostly to prevent outside alcohol but was a blanket statement for all drinks. I thought it was odd I had to take my hot tea back to my car. Besides that the waitress wasn't super warm and friendly either. If I remember correctly she started with, "what are you drinking?" After I had to walk my tea to our parked vehicle. The food was mid. Very very mid. I got a salmon savory crepe. The salmon was dry, almost white in color and just seemed old. The crepe itself was chewy and hard to cut. My husband's wrap was decent. Kids plates were also decent. I liked that you "created" their plate from 3 categories or options. Overpriced for quality and portion. Once our food arrived there was a swarm of gnats that came with it. Our table was wobbly so cutting any food shook the entire surface. Our toddler caught on to this and wanted to rock the table the whole time. So between holding the table, trying to cut food and swatting gnats away.. it just wasn't a good experience all together. I'm confident there are better options in town for us to try when we return.

Crepes are the star here, so definitely get a crepe! They have sweet crepes and savory crepes, and…read morewe got one of the classic sweet options with Nutella, berries and whipped cream. It was big enough to share with three people! This is the type of restaurant that has silly names for everything on their menu. For example, Crepes of Wrath is a savory crepe with sausage, and Banana-fo-Fana has bananas and granola in it. Usually, I refuse to say these silly names out loud when I order, and instead will just order according to the ingredients. ("Give me the Nutella and berries crepe.") I know. I'm that person! You don't want to take me to a silly-names restaurant, because I will ruin your silly-names experience. In this case, though, the silly names are so pervasive throughout the menu that I was overwhelmed and I just gave up. Sometimes, you just have to grit your teeth and play along. Yes, I did say, "Give me the Last Tango." Before the crepe, though, we got lunch. Later Alligator has a huge sandwich menu. At least two dozen different sandwiches! Then there's wraps, salads, appetizers and a kids' menu. I got the Fowl Play (sigh), which is chicken salad with lettuce and tomato on a croissant. My oldest kid got the Club Car, which included ham, turkey, Swiss cheese and lettuce. In case you were wondering: The silly names extend to the kids menu, too! (Which Wich Tuna Fish is just one example.) My younger kid got the Munchkin (mac and cheese). The kids' mac and cheese here is a mini cup, so just keep that in mind if your child eats a lot. Both of my children eat like birds, so the size of the mac and cheese wasn't a problem for us. This is also the type of restaurant that has interesting things everywhere you look (including the restroom!), so take some time to look around at all of the paraphernalia everywhere.

So we went once when we got to WV and they screwed the order up ( in the middle of the week it was dead ) they forgot a portion of our order. FIL is on a schedule and he said whatever and we lived without fries and pickles. Went and did everything decided we wanted some Primanti for home, made a 5 sandwich order with extra fries. Girl working the front area was clueless about her job and needed help. It was pretty late so we didn't check the bag ( yes I know ). Got home and was yet again screwed out of two sandwiches and our pickles. It was a weekday and they were not busy, what gives? This is possibly the worst location outside of Pittsburgh. Called the restaurant, guy manager assisted these clueless girls, explained we were two hours away and he didn't even let me go into explanation, sighed and sent me a 50.00 gift card. Which means this is a common occurrence. He didn't even try to do anything, if it happens this often maybe talk to your staff. I hate how this has soured my in-laws on Primantis. I vow to take them to the strip one this spring. The food we got was alright. At least we got some of it.

Plenty of TVs with sports and news playing. Great food choices. I had the zucchini plank appetizer which was plenty to enjoy as a late light dinner. Crispy and perfectly seasoned with marinara sauce side. My daughter had a pizza that was delicious! Perfect personal size and plenty of toppings. Husband had what he claimed to be the best Reuben he'd ever had! Also enjoyed a whole dill pickle. We were stuffed but happily grabbed a peanut butter pie to go for dessert. Chelsea our waitress was super friendly and attentive. She was patient with our daughter and we appreciated that. Definitely looking forward to finding one of these closer to home!

It was a thick beef patty topped with cheese, bacon, and a fried egg. The burger was astoundingly juicy and seasoned heavily. Fries were pretty standard but they complemented the burger nicely. Highly recommended, though I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of their burgers. The atmosphere is so rugged, it is actually almost charming. The lighting is dark and there is a bit of a smoky smell to the air, though no smoking is allowed at the bar where we sat. There are also a few gambling machines in the back that appeared to be the most high tech thing in the whole place. The atmosphere was really quite retro, though perhaps not by design. The server (can't remember her name) was attentive and friendly. She chatted with my coworker and I while she prepared our burger on the griddle right in front of us. If you are looking for an authentic West Virginia type of experience, this is a great place to try. Just don't bring your kids, because they will not be allowed in!
