Food was so delicious! First time visiting and it did not disappoint. Started off with a cup of coffee as we awaited our lunch. Coffee was under $2 and came with refills. Lunch was served and the portions were generous. I tried the country fried steak with fries. My best friend had the turkey sandwich smothered in brown gravy. Both were yummy and set us back only around $20. Really enjoyed the small diner atmosphere. Server was nice. Food was tasty. Prices were right. We will be back. read more

We all arrived at bobs lunch at approximately 12:30pm! The fellow sitting next to me got a pretty cool mug not gonna lie. Anyways, the first thing we ordered was friend pickles. Quite delectable if I do say so myself. Even someone who didn't like pickles liked them. Then we got our entrees and my blt was amazin. The service was pretty good, the people working there were super duper nice. Overall 10/10 experience would go there again. And in one of the pictures it shows how content the food made us. What can I say? They got somebody in the back cooking it up! My grandparents love this place, and finally took myself and my husband to check it out . Both times I've been, the food has been immaculate. My husband really enjoyed his omelette. I usually get two eggs with side meat, some type of potato and homemade bread.. all Delicious ! Anytime I'm here, the place is packed. They have really good lunch and dinner options as well. They always have specials too which are also really good. My grandpa likes the cut pork chop with fries and veggies. Another plus.. the food is NOT expensive. For the amount they give you, it's worth every penny. The bathroom is clean and the atmosphere is lovely ! And to be honest, this place is in the middle of nowhere, but if you're ever in the area, I recommend this place for sure! read more

Stopped for lunch on the day after thanksgiving. It was fairly crowded but seats were available, we seated ourselves. There were many families out for a post holiday lunch. I ordered a Bob's special, which had gravy over biscuits, egg and sausage. Service took a little longer than normal as it was packed. The food was as ordered and quite appealing. The server was friendly and got our entire order correct. Seems like the place to go in Moundsville. We would certainly recommend and return. read more

Was was good but always cold. To be fair it is take out and I can heat it up at home and I do. Not a major problem or not a problem at all. However, they have great issues with answering the phone. It's become impossible to place an order for pickup because they refuse to answer the phone. Sometimes they even take it off the hook. Business has definitely went down hill. read more

After a long day of hard work, we needed some food before we might eat eachother. We decided to go here because it was an old haunt of our mother, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was cozy and friendly, where we seated ourselves. I got the roast beef sandwich with fries and gravy, and it was absolutely delicious. But more impressive than that was the service. The waiter, whom I unfortunately never got the name of, was so kind. He checked on us frequently to make sure we didn't need anything. He was friendly and joked with us and was more on top of our drink refil needs than us. And even though we showed up close to closing, he (and the other waitstaff) allowed us to stay after closing hours and have some pie. My wife ordered French toast and sausage for lunch and got Bob Boy which is like a Big Boy Hamburger, 2- 1/4 lbs, thousand island dressing and some onion rings. The onion rings were good, the hamburger patties were overcooked and the amount of dressing could have been double the amount. I ended up using ketchup since the burgers were so dried out. Thinking this was just someone having an off day and not watching the food close enough. Overall, I think the place is very good and it gets a ton of locals there. read more

I just had their Colemans fish with Mac and Cheese and Coleslaw and while the Colemans was delicious the Mac and Cheese was flavorless. I'm used to their being a tangy cheesy taste and all you could taste was noodles. The coleslaw was just coleslaw, nothing spectacular. read more

After a weekend of camping and The Color Festival, I ate Sunday breakfast here. The place was bustling but I sat a table quickly. Coffee comes in a big mug, and a custom omelette with breakfast potatoes and French toast really satisfied my craving for diner food. I thought the order was cooked to perfection - omelette wasn't too big and the mix-ins were well cooked, potatoes were crispy, and the French toast was pillowy soft. I noticed the historical photos of Moundsville as I enjoyed breakfast and felt at home in this special place. Thanks for the great meal. read more

Fantastic breakfast! These were by far the best diner pancakes I've ever had - tender and fluffy. The portions were huge, and prices were beyond fair. I liked the variety on the breakfast menu - my husband had some kind of potato and egg concoction covered in sausage gravy that, frankly, looked kind of weird but tasted amazing. Be sure to find out what day you're eligible for a discount - almost everybody is once a week (i.e. one day for teachers, one for police and EMS, one for teachers, etc.) - and on Sunday, your minister eats free (minus dessert of course.) Visited Bob's Lunch today and although the food was good, the service was down right terrible. When we came in we decided on a booth, and a couple minutes later another couple came in and sat a couple booths away. The waitress immediately went to their booth and begin to wait on them. It was as if we did not exist. Apparently local money is better than our money. After she waited on the local couple she continued to ignore us, as a matter of fact Rachael took the order of another guy who came in after us, he was sitting at the booth behind ours. Finally, a different waitress took our order. I'm guessing he is a local also. Although I will reluctantly go back, I will consider going for breakfast vice other meals. I will say once the owner came in around 630 pm, the attitude seemed to change. read more

We always stop in when in town to visit the in laws. We like their all day breakfast which is solid. My wife had the Colemans fish sandwich with a side of mac n cheese. Mac n cheese was average but the fish sandwich was on point. I had the Energy Breakfast which came with 3 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 bacon slices, and French toast. I had the Super Steak Hoagie for $8.99 & added an order of onion rings as my side -- I only ate half the hoagie, IT WAS GINORMOUS! The other half will be lunch at work tomorrow. My grandfather eats breakfast here with a buddy every time they're up the river & he raves about the food and the prices, I thought we'd stop in tonight and see what all the fuss was about. Everyone in our party loved their meal & I can honestly see a return trip in our future.
