Had the best manicotti! Meatballs were perfect and the service was top notch!!! Will definitely be back as soon as I am in the area!

This is our favorite date night restaurant. The only negative would be: wait can be a little long and service isn't the fastest at times. But every staff member is pleasant and the owners make you feel like family. Figs catered our wedding of 300+ last December and did a fantastic job! Every item was personalized and specified to our wishes. The even surprised us with additional appetizers and sides, for no extra cost! I highly recommend their catering services!! Their homemade house dressing is delicious along with the olive oil bread dip! Chicken parm is fantastic too! read more

I have to say that I have mixed reviews about this place. The first time I went to Figaretti's was on a saturday night. The parking was terrible because it is such a small place however, the service and the food was above average. Also, the ambience of the restaurant gave off a romantic vibe due to it's small size and because it was nighttime there were candles lit on the tables which made it peaceful so my date and I were able to relax and have a good time. Fast forward to 3 months later, on a saturday afternoon. Bill and I decide to go to Figaretti's for lunch because I kept telling him how great the food was and how much he would just absolutely love it. Boy, was I disappointed. In the daytime, the restaurant loses that "romantic feel" and the rips in the booth seats and the ugly tablecloths stick out like a sore thumb. I ordered the same thing as last time which was the stuffed egglant parmesean. Unlike before, this time it was very greasy and soggy and the ricotta cheese inside had an off taste. Bill ordered veal parmesan and after the first few bites I could see the look of disgust in his face although he was a good sport and tried to finish as much as he could. He said that the meat was so tough on the outside that it was almost impossible to chew and then the meat towards the middle tasted uncooked borderlining raw. Now, lets talk about price! For two lunch portions and 2 beers.....the meal came to $51.00 and some change with taxes and a tip! On a positive note, the service was fine. We had a really sweet waitress who was very attentive. In my opinion, Figaretti's maybe a nice option for a first date on a weekend however, to be quite honest, we will not be going back. read more

Figaretti's award-winning sauce has officially made its mark here on Capitol Hill. For the second time, the Figaretti's team has traveled to Washington, D.C. to provide their incredible Italian cuisine for a West Virginia event. Wife and I went for a romantic dinner, the food wad good but service was terrible.waitress did not check on us at all after food was delivered and we sat without bread and drinks and I did not get my soup and Tony the retired owner blamed us for not catching the waitress, she had us and one other table. Good food is easy to find, good service not so much! I will not go back.we spent 80 dollars here to get blown off like we had no right to complain. read more

Stayed at Oglebay for a couple of days and looked at yelp for dinner ideas. Based on reviews we decided to try Figarettis. When we arrived at the restaurant on this Thursday night there was a 50 minute wait for a table. We never wait this long for a table but decided to at the bar and we are very glad we did. The restaurant is small and casual with good service and food. I got the stuffed shells and my husband the chicken marsala. Both were good picks. Both meals came with soup and salad and the waitress kept the bread basket full. When in Wheeling we will return. read more

If you are concerned at all about contracting COVID, do not go to this restaurant. Our server was the only staff member to have a mask on fully up over her nose. There was a server with no mask at all and the rest of the staff had them on their chin or under their nose. The manager or possible owner also had no mask on. They have no respect for customers at all. They may as well have been wearing signs that said "We don't care about you!". Having said that, we were so hungry that we didn't leave so if we die of Covid, we deserve it. The food was good. Especially for Italian food in West Virginia. Not great, but better than expected. The staff, although totally irresponsible, were very friendly. Better than Olive Garden but not upscale Italian food. Very basic food done really well. Very reasonably priced. I would recommend this place in non pandemic times because of the history and decent food. read more

Would not recommend! This was our first time there and we won't be back. The food was mediocre at best. Service was horrible. Seemed that since we weren't regulars, we were more of a bother to them. Guess they are not interested in any new business. read more

I grew up in Wheeling and have always been a fan of Figaretti's Restaurant. Their menu selections do not offer a lot of flair, but provide great taste and quality. It has been family owned and operated as long as it's been in existence and every once in a while you can catch Tony Figaretti strolling around the restaurant asking customers how they are enjoying their meals. It's a smallish restaurant and often gets crowded on weekends, but you can call ahead and reserve a table. read more

Locals usually rave about this place, but I wasn't very impressed. The portions were generous, but otherwise nothing was remarkable. I ordered chicken Parmesan which I didn't finish because the chicken's texture was odd. My husband ordered the veal, which he enjoyed but I did not. The marinara was unremarkable from any jarred marinara I've eaten. Service was a bit slow and inattentive. read more

A local institution with a multiple-generation fan club. Features a basic menu of traditional Italian dishes, none of which are particularly impressive, but the neighborhood feel is more important than the food quality. Figaretti's has their own line of marinara sauce sold through local grocery stores read more

I live near Figaretti's and have enjoyed both eating there and using their catering service. The service here really shines and it's good, regular Italian. Their eggplant parm is fantastic, and don't miss the broiled seafood platter they seem to offer most weekends. I love their homemade house Italian dressing, too. This is a family-owned and operated restaurant that I'm proud to support. I've never had a bad experience here. read more

Ordered my $5 pasta takeout. Gave a $10 and said keep the change. Get my food and once on the highway heading back to Pennsylvania find they didn't provide silverware/plastic fork. I guess i'll eat my pasta with my hands, wtf? Rediculous! read more

Hole in the wall, looks really sketchy on the outside, but the crowd inside tells you it's worth going to. The special Figs Appetizer (Italian sausage, peppers, in a generous sauce) was perfectly spiced.. read more

I was born in Wheeling but never had the pleasure off having dinner at this restaurant. We were in town for a funeral and had a large party (14). The staff was wonderful accommodating us. We had stopped by earlier in the day to let them know we were coming. The food was wonderful and exceptional service. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area. read more

Good Italian food for Wheeling, West VA....place was small but very cute and had a small town homey feel to it. The sauce was good and we ordered lobster ravioli in vodka sauce which was excellent and veal parm which was a little fatty but good...was disappointed with the bread the serves before meal....they could have baked fresh loafs but bread tastes like it was store bought. But overall good resturant for Wheeling, West VA! I will be back.... read more

I came here with family to celebrate my mothers birthday. The atmosphere is pleasant and the lighting low. It is somewhat cramped and not good for big groups like us but for small groups of 2-5 it's perfect. The staff was friendly and quick to help. The mussel appetizer I had was wonderful they were hooked in a garlic butter and were very tasty. My main dish the chicken Alfredo was good the chicken was very well cooked and seasoned and the noodles were cooked well the alfredo sauce wasn't very strong but still good. It was about average. I enjoyed my experience, and would consider coming again. read more

Awesome... good wine great food. Get there before 6:30 for guaranteed seat. Very romantic for date night... well as romatic as Wheeling gets... read more

I was really expecting a really cozy Italian eatery... Not so, more like a diner...food was under whelming... I guess you people in this area think this is Italian food...not going back read more

Always a good idea to come here, don't let the small atmosphere deter you from here, the food, Frank Sinatra, wine, and customer service will win you over. read more

Place is GREAT!!! Food is EXCELLENT!!! Very quaint but worth the wait. The service is excellent and helpful.

Got tired of the typical chain restaurants and after reading some reviews on Yelp, decided to try this. It was everything we hoped for and more. GREAT food, old style ambiance, and outstanding service. A must try! read more

Had it for lunch was a great Italian meal will come back. Great pasta sauce friendly staff worth the stop for lunch.

Fantastic place! A classic Italian eatery! They don't make places like this anymore! Also great lunch specials! Get the spaghetti and meatballs! read more

Excellent old school ambiance (NEVER SHOULD BE REMODELED!) ..very good marinara as advertised....great service... Only problem...ordered the supposed Prime Rib special...which WAS NOT prime rib at all but, rather, a ribeye steak. That being said,it was delicious......but cmon now....be honest about what you are serving....would have given a 4th star if not for this deception.....albeit a wonderful tasting one. Great bar with nice stiff drinks too. read more

If you go on a weekend, expect to wait at least 45 minutes as it's a small restaurant. My girlfriend had the seafood shells. Chunks of lobster, scallops and shrimp in a cream sauce that included mushrooms. I had the mushroom rav with marinara. We were both happy with our choices. My dinner salad had lettuce, tomato, carrot, onion, and radish. it was fine. Getting the house Italian with it would be a good idea. My girlfriend was very happy with her cole slaw. The calamari app was large, nicely breaded, and not greasy. Pretty tasty. Dessert was the Spumoni ice cream. Service was attentive. The manager came over to our table several times to see how our meal was going. We will be back. read more

I love this place! The salad dressings are homemade and the pasta is always good! Be prepared to wait for a table just about night ... apparently lots of other folks like it as well. :) read more

Not at all what I was expecting. The bread was what I would call average, the butter was too cold to spread. I ordered the ribeye as a recommendation from our waitress, it was a nice cut of meat, cooked too perfection; but absolutely had no flavor at all. My wife had the lobster ravioli, good flavor, but a disappointing portion. I had heard a lot about this place, and maybe other days are great, we were disappointed. read more

We pass through Wheeling maybe twice a year, and we always make Figaretti's a stop on our trip! It's the perfect place to sneak in a date night. We love the food, the atmosphere, and the service. We're slowly working our way through the entire menu, and no disappointments yet. The chicken parmesan is nicely breaded and tender, the ravioli is great, the gnocchi is the best I've had anywhere, the house marinara is our favorite marinara. Be aware, the chicken piccata is yummy but not what you're expecting - but it is exactly as it's described on the menu. The bar is recently remodeled, and it's our preferred place to sit for dinner. read more

I simply wanted to pick up something quick but satisfying. I called Figaretti's and spoke with a very helpful young lady. When I went to pick up my meal, I anticipated parking and going in to pick it up, but was met with a valet and he went inside and inquired about my meal for me. A young lady came out to get my payment, went back inside and retrieved my meal for me. What a great convenience. The food was great and hot. I will definitely do this again. It was a very positive first encounter with their takeout. Jeannette D. read more

I went to figaretti's this past Saturday and have to say i was very impressed. My family and I were greeted very nicely and sat in a booth. The food was excellent. Everything that we had everyone loved. The waitress, Kim was very attentive and said that she had been working there for 25 years. She was great! We hope to return soon for the food and to get Kim again as our waitress. read more

My wife had the gnocchi. It was gummy and tasteless. There were also puddles of grease in the sauce. My mother-in-law had the Spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were terrible. There were hard pieces in the meatballs. Just disgusting. What happened to this place? read more

I have been here a couple of times now and will be back anytime I am even near this area. Anyone that gives this place less than 5 stars must have taken a wrong turn and ended up at a different restaurant. The first time there I had a Chilean sea bass. It is very rare to find a place that prepares fish correctly. Where it is not overcooked. It was perfectly done so that it was moist and had a buttery texture to the flakes. The seasoning was minimal so it added flavor without covering the flavor of the sea bass. The atmosphere is wonderful as well with very friendly and happy staff. You would feel comfortable and not out of place here if you showed up in a suit and tie or a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. Sure there may be a wait for a table, but if you want fast food go to Taco Bell. This is more than worth a wait. read more

This is an outstanding, locally-owned restaurant and a must on our next trip through. Tuna steak was perfectly seasoned with a great cucumber/pepper sauce on the side. Pasta sauce was worth buying a couple jars to take home. Specialty ravioli was delicious, and the service was excellent. The food deserves 5 stars, but the price took it down to 4. Set aside a little extra in the budget, but it will be worth it! read more

I highly recommend Figaretti's for delicious Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. My mother and I had a wonderful fresh cooked meal that will beat any chain restaurant. The Italian Wedding Soup and Mushroom Brie Bisque were heavenly, as were our pasta and seafood dishes. The house salad is generous, and the chef came out to check on satisfaction. Friendly service, great food, and reasonable prices. Doesn't get much better than that! read more

Sauce was thin and bland. BreAd was like glue. Not impressed. If this place was good in the past it has seen better times.

We ended up at Figaretti's after attempting to get a seat over at Olive Garden but with an hour wait time there we looked elsewhere for our Italian fix. The food here was terrible! My wife had manicotti which was rubbery and reminded her of microwavable food. I had their spaghetti. The sauce was spicy and watery. It did not taste like any sauce I have ever had. $45 and we were still hungry when we finally left. I don't know how anyone gives this a good rating unless you are being sentimental because of it's smallness or knowing the owner. Maybe no taste buds. I don't know but I do know we will never go back or recommend this place to anyone. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. read more

I am local and Figs is a favorite of ours. Great food and service with a friendly staff. The owners have direct involvement in the daily operation. The restaurant is small and can get crowded at times. That can add to the atmosphere or frustration if you are on a hurry. So if you are in a hurry and it looks like a long wait come back another time. You won't be disappointed. Oh, yes great Italian but try the seafood as well. Don't know where they get it but always fresh and tasty. read more
