Charlotte was our wonderful server for lunch. She was so sweet and super welcoming. The food here is amazingly delicious!!! Small restaurant nice and busy with very nice boutique shops nearby. Highly recommend this restaurant when you are in the Biltmore Village. You will enjoy the service and the food!!!

Crème Pots De Crème (Gf without the cookie topper - was wonderful). Bread Pudding which my husband says was amazing.

Amazing food! The service was great and very accommodating. I have gluten sensitivity and they did a great job making accommodations. Can't say enough good about this little gem. We will be back.

Duck Confit Salad is perfect if you want a light lunch

I stopped in for lunch and I'm so glad I did. First of all, the lighting at lunch is fabulous. They have windows on both sides of the restaurant and it is just lovely. Bright, light, airy. Perfect lunch environment. Today I wanted something small and light so I asked my server what she suggested and she recommended the duck confit salad which was not on the menu so of course I went with that. It was the perfect recommendation and met my needs exactly. Satisfying but not too filling. I left perfectly happy.

This place is an absolute gym. I just came here for lunch and it was so delicious. Deviled eggs - beautifully presented just slightly lacking in flavor but not terrible. Grilled cheese- this has got to be the absolute best grilled cheese I've ever had in my life. The bread is toasted to perfection, it's light and buttery, and the combination of cheese and green apple is divine. My server's name was Ty or Tay. He made an old fashioned for me and it was his first time making one - I couldn't tell. This had to have been the most delicious old-fashioned I have ever tasted in my life. Friendly and accommodating staff and beautiful setting - highly recommended!

Fig Bistro is our favorite restaurant when we are in Asheville. The intimate ambiance, as if you're visiting friends. The food is always very good; even the hamburgers!! We had salmon and tilefish on Saturday with PEI mussels as an appetizer.

    Fabulous cioppino!

We had an amazing dinner this evening at Fig's. It was some of the best food we've had in months! The cioppino was fabulous. I am Cieliac/gluten-free and absolutely loved the salmon with a white zucchini sauce with gluten-free bread. we highly recommend.

Just go. Josh is a magician with what he does in the kitchen! Ate most of the things before I was able to take a picture but everything from the celery salad, to the entrees, to the olive oil cake dessert were better than we could ever have imagined.

    Teenager approved.

Fig is a cozy spot right in Biltmore Village with the look of a trendy bistro, limited but delicious and decadent menu, and top notch service! We recently visited for our anniversary and brought our son along. My husband ordered the short ribs which were not short on flavor (ha ha) and cooked to perfection. My son and I both enjoyed the pan seared salmon on fingerlings. A perfect amount of food and all cooked to please. They've got house cocktails, teas, sodas, and local brews to accompany your meal. Don't forget to grab dessert--we ordered the panna cotta and it was melt in your mouth heaven! If you're looking for something a little different, with easy parking, close to downtown, this is your spot!

First of all, the place was very small, with this caved-in feel...a very grungy, dive-like ambiance. I felt quite claustrophic. Also, they didn't have the A/C on, so it was quite humid in there. Sadly, things didn't get any better. One of the best thing about the brulee is the glazed crust...and well, their version was just slack, in that only about a third of the top was glazed! HUH?!? Plus, they used this thin slab of Orange instead of the usual Blueberries or Strawberries...making the dessert have this Yellow on Yellow type presentation. Not appealing at all...at least to me. Initially, I thought we'd wait...and get our waitress-bartender to send it back to the kitchen to get it glazed fully. However, we just couldn't get her attention...so we just ended up eating it. I did, however, decide to bring up this issue...after getting the hostess to literally grab our server! I just felt that something this slack should be pointed out. Since we did eat some of it, I didn't ask for a redo or anything like that...but simply telling her that I wanted my feedback to go to the kitchen and the manager. In any case, she didn't bill us for the dessert. I thought that was the right call. From the grungy ambiance (with no A/C), to their botched dessert, I just can't say this was a worthy experience in the least. I totally regretted not going to Crave dessert bar instead. Lesson learned!

Bouchon French Bistro is a solid spot for French food in the Asheville area. If you're looking for…read moresome classic, French bistro fare then Bouchon likely has it. I've never had a bad meal here. In my most recent visit to Bouchon, we had a reservation for the three of us on a Sunday evening for dinner. In fact, I recommend making a reservation if you're planning to dine here as Bouchon gets busy. Even for a Sunday, nearly every table was taken. The place is dark and romantic, but bustling and lively. As mentioned previously, Bouchon has classic, French plates that are timeless. From French onion soup to start with, to steak frites for your main, and profiteroles for dessert, there's something you're likely familiar with if you've had French food before. Plus, the large wine menu, including Bordeaux style reds are something to rave about. I ordered the Canard a L'Orange Chocolate for my entrée and we wanted to start with the escargots, but it never came. We had to remind our server that we ordered escargots, which we later received and was taken off the bill. That was nice. I did enjoy my canard/duck entrée, which was prepared with a rub from cocoa nibs and an orange glaze with broccolini and potato au gratin on the side. The duck was also a good portion, as it was half the size and cooked perfectly. Overall, if you like French food then Bouchon has some traditional dishes that you'll enjoy. Service was a little spotty, but not terrible. It's not my first choice for dining out in Asheville where the competition is fierce, but if I'm visiting on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, then you best believe I'm down for the AYCE moules frites, which yes, I've totally done and definitely got my money's worth.

Service was good, we were overall happy with our waiter. He was very friendly and polite. Food was overall good - especially for the price. Coming from LA - it made me really happy to see such great prices. Escargot had great flavor and a tiny flower shaped puff pastry on top - which was cute at first but I realized it soaked up a lot of the butter, which left none for dipping my bread. French onion soup - good nothing special Duck - THE PORTION WAS SO GENEROUS. YOU GET TWO BIG PIECES, that was amazing. It's basically two meals. Great sweet glaze sauce. The beouf bourguinoin seemed a bit lacking in flavor. They did not add bacon - which is fine but keep that in mind. My favorite thing was probably the pumpkin bread pudding a la mode. The pudding was not very sweet which is PERFECT for me. I wish I had two pieces. Honestly. If I lived in this area, I would definitely return.

The food was absolutely amazing, every single bite. The menu doubles as your placemat, which you can mark up as you go -- a fun, interactive touch that sets the tone for the whole experience. It's tapas-style, so the dishes come out to share, and I'll be honest -- the first few plates arrived quickly enough that I wondered if they were rushing us. But then the rhythm settled in perfectly. The pacing matched exactly how we were eating and conversing. We never had too much crowding the table at once, and we never felt forgotten between courses. That's harder to pull off than it sounds. The service struck exactly the right balance -- attentive without hovering. Curate is a must if you're in Asheville.

The wait was only about 25 minutes, which wasn't too bad. However, we were not aware we were going to be seated at the bar and were not given the option to wait for a table instead. For this type of establishment, you'd also expect warmer and friendlier service. Again, we sat at the bar, which may not have been the best choice, but the service there was inconsistent and at times lacking. You don't pay any less sitting at the bar, so it was definitely disappointing. That said, the food itself was great. We ordered the lamb skewers and the patatas bravas, and both were absolutely delicious. My husband also ordered a coffee and the flan, and the flan was very good as well. The prices are definitely high, but the food quality was solid enough that I could understand the cost. However, part of what makes a higher price point worthwhile is receiving excellent service as part of the overall experience, and unfortunately that just wasn't the case here.

We had great service. We started with the caviar appetizer. This consisted of caviar atop a crispy layered potato tot with creme'. It was delicious, albeit expensive for the portion size. I could have had a plate of those as my meal if the price was not so steep. My husband ordered the Elk (when in Rome!) and I had the Scallops based on a recommendation from the bartender in our club lounge. Both were excellent, but my husband's elk stole the show. It was worth every bite. It had the same crispy potato as the caviar set up and was an excellent pairing. Perfectly cook cooked to the chef's recommendation with a lovely reduction sauce to complement the meat. No "gamey" moment in the slightest. Super fresh! It was a great first experience with elk. My scallops were also impressively cooked to perfection. Not overdone- which I find restaurants guilty of doing all too often, and usually leads me to not order scallops. They were accompanied by a butternut risotto, fresh mushrooms and a sauce that escapes me. The portion size was appropriate for that price point. We did not have room for dessert, but we managed to sneak in an espresso martini and an old-fashioned to top the night off.
