    Golden Bubble Milk Tea

FIFTYLAN . . @fiftylancanada has officially opened at Yonge and Sheppard on July 9th, 2024. A popular bubble tea chain from Taiwan has now entered Canada! They have special promotions happening all week this week (see last photo). . . Golden Bubble Milk Tea 4/5 This is one of their most popular drinks and I can definitely tell why! There is a lot of tapioca in here and they're nice and chewy. You can adjust the sugar and ice level and I suggest going for 25-50% sugar.

This is a very popular bubble tea store in Taiwan, so I wanted to try it and see if it is the same as the one in Taiwan! The place looks so cute with the Christmas decorations. The server was very patient and friendly, as I took some time to decide what to drink. I ordered Jasmin Greentea and added golden bubble topping( free topping when you follow & like their instagram). The Jasmin greentea was good, especially the golden bubble topping, very chewy. I would like to try the milk latte next time.

I came to Fiftylan(50嵐) again! And as expected, it never disappoints us! I felt it got even better than my first time trying its drinks. I guessed the employees were well trained and improved themselves. I am so touched. Maybe it's because I have lived abroad for a long time, but I think its bobba tasted better than what I had in Taiwan. The store also had a bunch a cute and interesting decorations like a gigantic bobba drink and a hube tote tag with fiftylan and some marks in Toronto

Drink 5/5 It's great to know that Fiftylan finally came to Toronto. They bring the most popular drinks with high-quality taste from Taiwan to Toronto. Service 5/5 All the staff are friendly and professional when introducing drinks, try to get advice from them when you have no idea what to drink. Ambiance 5/5 It's clean and neat with an inviting concept, it's like visiting an oasis when you walk into the store during summer.

A great coffee shop to work from, grab a drink or have a full meal with wine!…read more Came on a weekday to snag a table to do some work and it was quiet but had a few other tables also with laptops. There aren't a lot of tables with plugs so be aware of that before coming. I got the pistachio latte which was recommended by the staff here and they were onto something! It's delicious, creamy, and nutty all in one, while also still giving me that caffeine hit. Staff here were friendly. Ambiance was beautiful. Love that they are a half cafe vibe but also serve a full menu of food and even have wine and cocktails. Parking is a bit tricky, I didn't know where to park since it was on a main road and had nowhere to turn into when you're facing the restaurant. Would love to try their other items someday. Saw that they have delicious looking and sounding sandwiches, pizzas, salads, pastas and more. Definitely check this spot out!

The interior is sleek and modern and the staff are friendly but as other reviews mentioned can be a little forgetful ... sometimes we had to remind them more than once of a drink or a small request. However the staff are very sweet and always seem to be excited about their food and drinks and love talking about anything new on their menu ... really enjoyed the croissants that comes with pistachio, chocolate, and I believe Nutella, and that they can make immediately for you if they've run out of a certain flavor. They have pastries, wine, a big coffee menu, sandwiches, and pasta. There's some street parking and if you don't mind walking across the street there's plenty of spots at Bayview Mall. They also have free underground parking but it's a bit of a guessing game to get to the first time ... if you go behind their building parallel to Sheppard is Thomas Clark Way. If you're facing north towards their building on Thomas Clark Way then the parking driveway is part of the building to the left of the church, the parking garage door is actually perpendicular to Thomas Clark Way. There's a few parking areas on that road so it's hard to find the first time but once you get it then it's really convenient especially in the winter - the restaurant is right there. Highly recommended for the great staff and casual yet elegant vibe.

A collection of cheesecake slices, custard tarts and pastries were available for pick up. The staff was courteous and has a self service concept. For dine ins - a minimum of 8$ per person order is essential, so be mindful of this criteria else you can surely opt for take aways! Mango crepe- amazing portions and the crepe was exceptionally soft. The consistency was perfect coupled with fresh sponge cake and mango bits. The STAR was the ice cream- flavours which felt authentic and a much needed change from the artificial coloured mango based ice creams widely available. TOTALLY WORTH YOUR BUCKS! Just a suggestion the main entrance is just opposite the cashier making it congested at the area, crumpling the space.

The only reason for the 4 star review is that the ambiance is lacking and far more of a takeout place than a sit down, with plastic cutlery being used for dine-in. You put your order in through a QR code so don't have much to say about service but the food and drinks did come out quickly. That being said, I'd definitely come back here in a heartbeat.

Great Vibe, Disappointing Espresso (from an ex-Barista)…read moreStepped into this spot looking to grab some genuinely good coffee. As an ex-barista, I'm fussy--I hate spending money and not getting a quality product. Unfortunately, the coffee was a swing and a miss. I ordered one iced latte and one hot latte. In both drinks, the espresso was burnt. I actually watched the barista pulling the shots, and I could tell immediately. To make matters worse, the hot drink was barely a latte; it was essentially a cappuccino based on the absurd amount of foam on top. Plus, the milk itself was ruined. There's a certain temperature and texture for steaming milk, and this was clearly burnt milk that had been frothed way too aggressively. Aesthetically, the café is lovely--it's cute and a great spot to work from home. My recommendation? Skip the espresso drinks. Maybe try the matcha or a pastry instead. I definitely won't be back for the coffee.
