This French patisserie is mind-blowing, and reminiscent of the best patisseries in Montréal and Paris. We ordered the chocolatines, the cheesecake and the spanakopita. Lumière Pâtisserie is a Thornhill gem--proof that you don't have to go downtown for great pastries…read more Yes, it's tucked into a suburban plaza off a parking lot, but inside it's light-filled, calm, and smells like heaven. The service is consistently warm, and the pastry case is hard to resist. We've tried many of their cakes, and the blackcurrant queen cake is hands down our favorite--tart, elegant, and just sweet enough. Their salted caramel croissant is beautifully laminated and filled with just the right amount of caramel. In fact, their croissants across the board are solid--flaky, tender, and buttery without being greasy. The sourdough bread is excellent, and the espresso drinks are reliably strong and well-crafted. It may look like Paris inside, but don't let that inspire your inner Francophile--the staff are lovely, but no one's following your French. Still, this is the kind of place that keeps regulars coming back. We're definitely among them.

Thankfully, the vanilla bean latte absolutely did the job--and it was genuinely delicious too. The house blend espresso was smooth and creamy, with a rich chocolatey note without tasting overly roasted, exactly the way I like it. The vanilla bean flavour was also really pleasant, adding just the right amount of sweetness and aroma without overpowering the coffee. All in all, it was a near-perfect latte. The only downside was the price--I paid about $9 for a large with three shots, which felt a bit steep. Still, it was a very satisfying cup of java. I also appreciated the fact that it is doggo friendly as it has a jar of treats for your pups. I'll bring little morty over sometimes.

We probably waited less than five minutes, which was awesome considering that they had a lot of other orders ringing up. It had chunks of mango, mango puree, cheesecake, and whipped cream. It was pretty enjoyable, but I think it would've been even better if I added in some mochi. The menu says it's layered with condensed milk, but the mango puree overpowered it a bit. It would be a nice touch if they could drizzle some condensed milk at the top, so that sweetness hits off the bat (at least in my opinion). Customer service was great, they were fast, respectful, and knew how to keep the line moving.

I had just never been there…read morebefore but one Saturday I was making extra deliveries during the Christmas rush and needed a coffee. This place was my saviour. It wasn't until a few later until June 2025 I would join The Mt. Dennis 5K Fun Run Club that is on every Saturday. Every 5K Run starts and finishes at The Supercoffee. After the run each participant is awarded a Free small drink of their choice. After a few weeks I really started to notice how busy this little coffee place is and I guess that's one of the reasons this shop has now been here for 12 years. It's been here for 12 years because the coffee is amazing. It's just not the coffee but there's nice things to eat with your coffee. There's muffins, cookies, danishes, nut bars (energy bars - no sugar added) There's bananas and empanadas too. Some of the items are made at the Supercoffee, but the other items are prepared by local bakeries. All the staff that work here are very nice and friendly too. This place is a nice gem for this community, and has a nice atmosphere soft lighting, soft music playing. There are a few big tables inside as well with 5 small tables. You can work here on your laptop however there's restrictions on the weekends as space is needed so it's not allowed. You would be better to use the library across the street. In the summer months there's a nice patio in the back as well with music playing there too. If you live in or live close by to the York, South Weston area and specifically Mt. Dennis you should stop by and get yourself a coffee at this most amazing establishment.

After trying my vanilla iced latte and my partner's macchiato... I wondered if this place might actually be better known for food or matcha, based on what I've seen in other reviews - the coffee was not good. The espresso beans seemed to be over-roasted, which were quite bitter for our liking as opposed to something more subtly chocolatey and nutty. My iced latte also got watery pretty quickly as the ice melted it seemed, and ended up tasting more like the kind of latte you'd get from a fast-food chain (or the espresso shot was way too long). A bit of a letdown, especially since the two fairly small drinks came to about $18. The space itself is cozy, and I really like the vinyl collection (which earned the 2 stars). That said, the records are noticeably pricey compared to typical vinyl shops like Sonic Boom. A lot of them -- even ones with just Side A -- were priced at $55 and up. I didn't cross-check the barcodes on Discogs, but while I love the curation (especially the focus on Japanese jazz and city pop -- really cool stuff), I find it hard to believe all of them are rare pressings worthy of those $55-to-several-hundred-dollar price tags. As an avid collector myself, I wouldn't come here to buy the records. Service was friendly.
