The service was awful. Very rude, never returned to ask how dinner was or if we needed anything. Food was good though. Would never go back.

We went three times in three days on our recent weekend trip to Moab. It's really that good! We consider Fiesta Mexicana the best Mexican restaurant in Utah. Got sat quickly, service is fast and friendly, and the food is great! Huge portions! The chips and homemade chunky salsa are top notch! The steak fajitas, super burrito with shredded beef, steak fajita burrito, and shredded beef chimichanga are some of our favorite entrees. Can't wait to go back! read more

Please read Yelp reviews. I am not sure how this place has any good reviews. My boyfriend and I aren't food snobs but we know good food. I'm not sure if people think sizzling hot cheese with some tomatoes and lettuce on it qualifies for good Mexican?? This isn't good Mexican food and its not clean either. The decor and sizzling cheese don't make this an authentic Mexican food place! After a long day of hiking and biking and fishing we were starving for Mexican and a margarita! My boyfriend will probably eat anything especially when hungry. He rarely complains about food and if ever I'm not pleased with food at a restaurant he will tell me "it's still edible, stop being a brat and eat it"- at this place he couldn't even get two bites in. He ordered a combo with all beef in each thing on combo, he said the beef tasted like low grade dog food and pushed it aside. He hates to complain but at that point I knew we had to say something.I ordered the chicken enchilada and a tostada, the chicken tasted like tangy canned crap and the lettuce tasted like someone ashed a cigarette in it. There wasn't really any cheese or sauce to hide the foul taste of the chicken and lettuce because if there was maybe it would have been edible. Ugh! I used the bathroom and it was gross! Walking back to our table from the bathroom I saw the fountain-soda, chips and salsa service station and there were dirty dishes surrounding the area, just not pleasant to see especially after a pandemic, or ever! Serving stations where guest can see should at least look sanitary, if they don't care about that then what does it look like in the kitchen or other service areas guests can't see?!?!? I noticed a server cleaning off a table and she carried the glasses with fingers in the glass so that she can carry three at time, she then wiped the table and seconds later served a table with new guests chips and salsa! I don't think she took the time to wash her hands. There are so many things wrong with this place. Just because the decor looks authentic and the cheese sizzles and plates are hot when it reaches the table doesn't make it a good Mexican place. This place needs a full makeover and maybe a visit from the health department, and more so management that guides their staff to provide sanitary service. I feel sick for so many reason after leaving this place. Also, the margaritas do not have alcohol in them. This place is a gross! I wish I could give it negative stars! Beware!!!!!!!!! read more

This was listed at three and a half stars We were actually looking for another restaurant that had higher ratings. I beg to differ their rating. The service is excellent. We were greeted and seated immediately. Warm chips and very tasty salsa arrive immediately after we were seated. We ordered ,btw we were a party of 6, our order arrived very quickly. After our meal the manager came to the table and checked on us. He was very personable and chatty. We had stopped here on a whim., and were so glad we did. read more

Ordered takeout, would never eat here again. The food tasted terrible and the way they packaged it in the takeout dishes made the meal soggy and covered in beans. Very overpriced for very bad food. Worst Mexican food of my life! read more

I was only in town for one night. We just spent the day driving from Midway to Arches National Park. Drove through the Park and was very hungry There was 8 in our party ... We decided on this restaurant... Never have I had such a fine experience! Didn't have to wait long. Service was extremely fantastic! Wow! The food was fantastic! I ordered a Fiesta Grande Plate or 3 item combo. I had a Shredded Beef Flauta, a Shredded Beef Sopito, which is similar to a Tostada, and a Crispy Chili Relleno that had a eggroll skin around it! Delicious! If I ever come back this way... I do hope this place is open!!!! Great price as well!!!! Two thumbs up!!!! read more

Very good Mexican food. Not as good the second time I went there...I suppose it depends on who is cooking. I love the green sauce on the enchiladas. Fast and friendly service. read more

The service here was super awesome-- we had incredibly attentive waiters refilling our drinks and checking on our food. You get free chips and salsa, and the portions are HUGE. I had the carne asada super burrito and it was delicious. The rice felt more like Chinese take out rice than Mexican rice, but the beans were tasty. I somehow finished my whole plate (blame the hiking) but there are easily enough for leftovers. The interior was cute and kitschy and we had a whole booth to two people. It only loses a star for price-- I come from a Mexican neighbourhood in NYC and one of the major appeals of Mexican food is that it's supposed to be cheap. Prices here were pretty high for a standard burrito, but if I ever come back to town I'd definitely stop in again. read more

If you don't mind looking at your food before you eat it, then this is the place for you. The chips and salsa were good. I didn't eat the burrito and went home to eat. read more

Fiesta Mexicana - Mexican Near Me - Moab, Utah

Food was plentiful. However, COVID compliance was lax. The restaurant was empty when we came in (by choice), they filled both the tables by us. I asked to be moved and then they sat more people right by us. There was no distancing of tables, when most where available. More troubling, however, was I saw two workers coming out of the kitchen without masks on. I question what was going on inside the kitchen. I know all people don't believe COVID is "real", but as a business owner you should project the highest level of caution. We will not be returning until after the pandemic, we will frequent businesses that have our best health at the core of their business plan. read more

Fiesta Mexicana - Sweet decor - Mexican Near Me - Moab, Utah

This place was a great experience overall. The host was very friendly and I got chips and salsa faster than I could blink. I think they actually forgot about taking my order because I sat there for a really long time before someone came over. When my waiter came over, he was so friendly I actually wanted to ask him to sit down and chat for a while. He asked where I was from and even gave me a map with directions to a 'secret' local spot with a waterfall. When traveling/dining alone, it's always nice to have conversations so I really appreciated this. The food was also phenomenal, I had the Carne Asada. They set me up with everything I needed with my to-go portion. Definitely a great dining experience. Will go back when I am in Moab again! read more

After hiking out in Canyonlands today we were in the mood for Nachos and a margarita. Stopped in here after driving by another higher rated Mexican restaurant but not liking the fact that there was nobody eating there. This place did not disappoint. The nachos and the margaritas on the rocks were great. Staff was friendly and took very good care of us. We would eat here again. read more

Tbh the service was decent and attentive with massive food and drink portions. I ate at the other place (Baja?) and just kept thinking how this place was better in my opinion. read more

Good. Had Lunch. Service good. Large portions. Convenient location. Decor suitable for style of restaurant. Appeared clean.

One of the worse Mexican restaurants I have ever ate at. Service was great (Juan) but overall food was horrible. (Zero stars) We spent the day hiking at Arches National Park and by the end of the day we were all starving so we thought who doesn't love Mexican food. We were promptly seated and then served chips and salsa before ordering our meal. Once we ordered our food we were refilled with burnt chips so we waited for our food. Once our food arrived it was bland, greasy, meatless and thrown on the plate like a prison lunch line. Our total party included 6 kids and 4 adults and NO ONE ate their food. Between the 2 families we had over 170 in meals which no one ate. The manager came over and ask how our meal was and we politely told him it was less than desirable. Most restaurants would apologize and see what they could do to make it better but not here he kept asking the tables around us if they liked their Meals only to turn back to us and say see they like it maybe its just you. Horrible place, horrible manager and the only thing going for them would be they can get tourists in one time and not have to worry about repeat customers. read more

The staff was super friendly and made sure we were taken care of often. Food was quick and tasty with very large portions.

This is a must go every time we are in Moab. Love the combo meals. Service is always great and food is fantastic.

Beyond good food! Large portions, fast friendly service. Fun atmosphere, beautifuly themed mexican restaurant.

This spot was great to us. We came from a long atving and hiking and we were starving. The portions were large and great and the food was delicious. Left a great impression on our whole family!good job read more

What a disappointment. Chips were flat fried in old oil. Salsa was way too spicy. Frozen Margaritas were tasteless an not worth $10 apiece. The food was Ok, but not tremendous. We made a mistake and should have patronized another Mexican restaurant in Moab! read more

Margaritas were on point! The salsa for the chips and salsa was amazing. Excellent service. HUGE portions. Great time here!

Quick service! The staff was very friendly & ready to help! The food was pretty good but they did bring out the wrong dish. Luckily they were able to fix it quickly so we could enjoy our lunch together after a long morning of hiking! read more

We are at this place in 2012 and talked about how good the food was. Family owned, this place is authentic. From the vast pages of menu items to choose from, to the decor all around you. We loved it the first time we tried it. So obviously it was a 'must' on our list of things to do while we're in Moab. The staff is friendly and attentive. The waiter was very patient as my 8 yr old was having an end of a long day meltdown. I ordered a margarita, which was pretty strong, but very delicious. For the meal I ordered a two combination plate, with shredded beef. I chose the chimichanga and the enchilada. Lots of food! All fantastically yummy. My husband ordered the carne asada burrito. According to him: They cooked the meat good and it had good flavor. Note: he's Spanish and tends to be a harsh Mexican restaurant critic, so this should say something. My son has said he "hates beans" for a while now. But he loved them here. My daughter wasn't wanting Mexican food and opted for a grilled cheese with fries, which she gobbled up in entirety. We were happy to eat here again and will definitely come back each time we visit. read more

It took 15 minutes to get my first margarita. There was probably 5 other people in the restaurant so I thought that was a little ridiculous. I have the super burrito it was so/so. I was not that impressed with the food or service. I will not be returning. read more

Food good service not so good. There is a drunks waiter food waiter and chips salsa waiter. I don't think they speak the same language or at least they aren't on the same page. Like I said food was spot on but service lacked. Saved me some money cause tip was low read more

Good food in a typical chain Mexican restaurant atmosphere. I had chicken enchiladas with mole sauce plus rice and refried beans. My wife had deep fried Chiles rellenos which she loved and I thought were very good, too. We heard they are known for their Margaritas, but we weren't drinking tonight. Overall, good food and good service. We done early so it wasn't very busy. read more

WTF?! Every time I am on vacation I can't seem to get a good meal! And the meal is always overpriced! $72 for two ($38 for 4 margaritas)...ordered guacamole dip, which I wish they would have made table side. It was creamy and kinda bland. I had a 2 item combo with a chimichanga and taco. I wanted chicken for both but got some kind of ground beef in my chimi. It actually tasted like chili. My taco completely fell apart and the chicken was dry. My friend ordered seafood fajitas and he is still in the bathroom back at our hotel with violent diahrrea and puking. Need I say more? Service was pretty slow and unattentive. I'm considering bringing my own food next time I vacation...anywhere! read more

The flavor of their food is spot on for my taste. Food was also hot when it came out, which is definitely not a given nowadays! The service was very quick although he never came back and checked on us. Thankfully everything was perfect. We did ask for more salsa when our food came. It was excellent but small portion! A little pricey but portions of food were very large. We'll definitely be back. read more

Just bad. Really bad. I have eaten a lot of Mexican food in my life, being from So Cal , and I really love all types of Mexican food. And no, I'm not even all that picky about it for God's sake! I realize that Mexican food is like pizza...even when it's bad, it's still pretty good. But this is just bad, folks. What the heck are some of these reviewers thinking?? My husband was super hungry after a day out in Moab, so he opted for a little bit of everything in the form of a variety platter...rice, beans, a tamale, a chicken enchilada, and a beef tostada. I sampled a bite of each, and they all were pretty much greasy and tasteless. I opted for the fajitas, thinking it's a safe bet in most places. What I didn't opt for was the pool of oozy grease they were swimming in. Just gross. Bland and greasy. How can a place screw up chicken and veggies? I guess pretty easily. To be fair, the prices were good and the staff was fast and friendly. But GOD, this food sucks. Just BAD. read more

Fiesta Mexicana was a big success. This local restaurant was just across the street from my hotel so I decided to hit it up. I ordered the beef enchiladas with refried beans and coke. It was served hot so I started with my rice on the side. When I got back to the enchiladas they were ready to go and I began to dig in. Yum! Perfect temperatures all around, great tasting sauce inside and on top with some kick. I mixed the refried beans with the entree which made the texture and taste combine to make complete perfection. The staff we're very friendly folks. They refilled my drink frequently, asked how I enjoyed my food, and made me feel I was the only one being served to. The Hispanic atmosphere was a great delight. Signs and such hanging on walls. I called it a night after I finished my second Coke. Overall I recommend read more

LOVE this place. Hubby and I have come to regard it as "our place". We eat paleo/primal so sometimes have a hard time eating out. The shrimp dishes here are delicious and the portions are huge. We always order salad instead of rice and bean along with a couple of the best margaritas in town. The salad comes out on the warm plate with the shrimp so some parts of it are a bit warm, but that doesn't matter to us. It is still very tasty and we know we are making a special order. We are always treated with quick service and helpful attitudes. I have yet to see one of the employees there in anything but the best of moods. I suggest trying the shrimp dishes. YUM!! read more

This has got to be the worst Mexican meal I've ever had. I ordered a three-item combo with a chili relleno, a tamale and a beef taco. The taco meat was utterly flavorless, so much so that I kept inspecting it, thinking I was missing something. Sorry, taco, it wasn't me, it was you. It was also sitting in a puddle of water, which I assume (and hope!) was just from the abundant, overzealous heaping helping of lettuce having just been rinsed. The tamale, though a bit on the dry side, was acceptable. The relleno, OTOH, was a grease-soaked mess! And oddly enough, although they offer a crispy relleno plate on the menu, you can only get a soft (apparently marinated in grease) relleno in a create-your-own combo. My buddy ordered the carne asada, and it was little more than odd, large sheets of barely seasoned meat with some very slim pickings to go along with it - a little guacamole, some beans, a few tomatoes, and that was about it. Unfortunately, this capped off a less than stellar gastronomical tour of Moab. Besides getting decent and reasonably priced breakfast meals at the Moab Diner, the rest of our stops were bitter disappointments. Next time through I'll just have to pick a whole new slate of restaurants to try. read more

How impressed (and shocked) am I? I'm in Moab which I'm pretty sure is not known for their Mexican food but I figured I'd give it a shot. After all, a cashier at a gas station recommended it to me so how could I possibly go wrong? I ordered the chili verde burrito and hands down, this is the most tender I've ever had. It practically melts in your mouth and their green sauce is intoxicating! Even their beans and rice taste great. Lastly, their salsa is very spicy (the best way) and fresh. Love this place and I'll come here every time I make it back to Moab. 5 stars and I highly recommend!! read more

We walked into town and were looking for some takeaway that we could carry back to our room. There are quite a few Mexican joints in town and this one fit the bill. We knew the portions would be large so we ordered a meal to split. The Giant Burrito which came with rice, beans, salad, sour cream and guacamole. Though we had takeout, we were also given a large bag of corn chips and a tub of salsa that had a real kick! The meal was fine and was enough for us to share, particularly with the corn chips. It wasn't the best Mexican I have ever had but it tasted fine. For less that $13, it was decent value. read more
