After hiking out in Canyonlands today we were in the mood for Nachos and a margarita. Stopped in here after driving by another higher rated Mexican restaurant but not liking the fact that there was nobody eating there. This place did not disappoint. One of the worse Mexican restaurants I have ever ate at. Service was great (Juan) but overall food was horrible. (Zero stars) We spent the day hiking at Arches National Park and by the end of the day we were all starving so we thought who doesn't love Mexican food. We were promptly seated and then served chips and salsa before ordering our meal. Once we ordered our food we were refilled with burnt chips so we waited for our food. Once our food arrived it was bland, greasy, meatless and thrown on the plate like a prison lunch line. Our total party included 6 kids and 4 adults and NO ONE ate their food. Between the 2 families we had over 170 in meals which no one ate. The manager came over and ask how our meal was and we politely told him it was less than desirable. Most restaurants would apologize and see what they could do to make it better but not here he kept asking the tables around us if they liked their Meals only to turn back to us and say see they like it maybe its just you. Horrible place, horrible manager and the only thing going for them would be they can get tourists in one time and not have to worry about repeat customers. read more

This is a must go every time we are in Moab. Love the combo meals. Service is always great and food is fantastic.

We are at this place in 2012 and talked about how good the food was. Family owned, this place is authentic. From the vast pages of menu items to choose from, to the decor all around you. We loved it the first time we tried it. So obviously it was a 'must' on our list of things to do while we're in Moab. The staff is friendly and attentive. The waiter was very patient as my 8 yr old was having an end of a long day meltdown. I ordered a margarita, which was pretty strong, but very delicious. For the meal I ordered a two combination plate, with shredded beef. I chose the chimichanga and the enchilada. Lots of food! All fantastically yummy. My husband ordered the carne asada burrito. According to him: They cooked the meat good and it had good flavor. Note: he's Spanish and tends to be a harsh Mexican restaurant critic, so this should say something. My son has said he "hates beans" for a while now. But he loved them here. My daughter wasn't wanting Mexican food and opted for a grilled cheese with fries, which she gobbled up in entirety. My wife had deep fried Chiles rellenos which she loved and I thought were very good, too. We heard they are known for their Margaritas, but we weren't drinking tonight. Something I've noted about Utah is that they do Mexican food really well. This place is no different. The food was all insanely delicious. The portions were HUGE! I should not have eaten it all, and honestly, I didn't have to eat for the rest of the day. The staff were really quick, and they kept us filled up on water--a huge relief, we had just finished the Arches National Park. The flavor of their food is spot on for my taste. Food was also hot when it came out, which is definitely not a given nowadays! The service was very quick although he never came back and checked on us. Thankfully everything was perfect. We did ask for more salsa when our food came. It was excellent but small portion! Fiesta Mexicana was a big success. This local restaurant was just across the street from my hotel so I decided to hit it up. I ordered the beef enchiladas with refried beans and coke. It was served hot so I started with my rice on the side. When I got back to the enchiladas they were ready to go and I began to dig in. Yum! Perfect temperatures all around, great tasting sauce inside and on top with some kick. I mixed the refried beans with the entree which made the texture and taste combine to make complete perfection. The staff we're very friendly folks. They refilled my drink frequently, asked how I enjoyed my food, and made me feel I was the only one being served to. The Hispanic atmosphere was a great delight. This place was a great experience overall. The host was very friendly and I got chips and salsa faster than I could blink. I think they actually forgot about taking my order because I sat there for a really long time before someone came over. When my waiter came over, he was so friendly I actually wanted to ask him to sit down and chat for a while. He asked where I was from and even gave me a map with directions to a 'secret' local spot with a waterfall. When traveling/dining alone, it's always nice to have conversations so I really appreciated this. The food was also phenomenal, I had the Carne Asada. They set me up with everything I needed with my to-go portion. Definitely a great dining experience. Will go back when I am in Moab again! read more

Not happy at all with this restaurant. Took my seven kids and was told kids drinks come with the kid meals. Was charged for the kid drinks separate from the kid meals. I would not have got the kids drinks knowing their drinks were not included in the kids meal price. Talked to the manager and they claimed I asked the wrong person. (I asked the guy who took our drink orders!) They would not remove the kid drinks from the charges. In addition, the two TV's closest to our table had a show with two people having sex. Extremely inappropriate for children. What's seen cannot be unseen. The table next to us had an exposed breast on it to top things off. We won't be returning to this restaurant. Ever. read more

WTF?! Every time I am on vacation I can't seem to get a good meal! And the meal is always overpriced! $72 for two ($38 for 4 margaritas)...ordered guacamole dip, which I wish they would have made table side. It was creamy and kinda bland. I had a 2 item combo with a chimichanga and taco. I wanted chicken for both but got some kind of ground beef in my chimi. It actually tasted like chili. My taco completely fell apart and the chicken was dry. My friend ordered seafood fajitas and he is still in the bathroom back at our hotel with violent diahrrea and puking. Need I say more? Service was pretty slow and unattentive. I'm considering bringing my own food next time I vacation...anywhere! read more

How impressed (and shocked) am I? I'm in Moab which I'm pretty sure is not known for their Mexican food but I figured I'd give it a shot. After all, a cashier at a gas station recommended it to me so how could I possibly go wrong? I ordered the chili verde burrito and hands down, this is the most tender I've ever had. It practically melts in your mouth and their green sauce is intoxicating! Even their beans and rice taste great. Lastly, their salsa is very spicy (the best way) and fresh. My husband was super hungry after a day out in Moab, so he opted for a little bit of everything in the form of a variety platter...rice, beans, a tamale, a chicken enchilada, and a beef tostada. I sampled a bite of each, and they all were pretty much greasy and tasteless. I opted for the fajitas, thinking it's a safe bet in most places. What I didn't opt for was the pool of oozy grease they were swimming in. Just gross. Bland and greasy. How can a place screw up chicken and veggies? I guess pretty easily. To be fair, the prices were good and the staff was fast and friendly. But GOD, this food sucks. Just BAD. read more
