The food was ok but the service UGH! We got there right when they opened . They kept seating more and more people. At one point we didn't see the 2 servers for 20 minutes . They were in the kitchen. (Cooking?! Who knows) we just wanted to be done and get a check but they never came to our table. Finally just left cash on the table. This was a great find! Shrimp taco and carne asada tacos had a lot of flavor! Pleasantly surprised for an LA native trying to find some comfort food. I was severely disappointed in this restaurant based of the previous high reviews. The servers were rushed and blunt. They didn't take the time to even ask how we were doing and it was not busy at the restaurant. The food is overall bland and boring. They were all out of carnitas which seemed odd so we went with chicken and al pastor. The Al pastor meat was either very dry and hard or fatty pieces. The chips were yummy but the salsa had hardly any flavor. And the guacamole was so so bad! It looks very yummy but it had an awful soapy/almost floral taste to it and a weird texture. Unassuming little joint in a strip mall, the lengua and al pastor were on point and holy hell if we didn't get drunk of those delicious margaritas before stumbling back to our hotel! Waitress was really kind and offered us chips and salsa, along with Diet Pepsi by bottle or fountain. We chose fountain. Wife had rolled tacos with chicken and I had cheese enchiladas. Wow - literally outstanding, 5-star Mexican food! Everything was delicious from the fresh hot chips with perfectly executed red salsa to the tequila shots and Pacificos. The wet burrito with the light green sauce (can't recall the name) was BOMB - we ordered an extra side for my chicken fajitas (which were delicious! All breast meat with lots of grilled peppers and onions and nice rice and beans with lots of corn tortillas). My husband and I stopped into this restaurant while in Jackson Hole. The first thing we noticed was that the staff was extremely friendly And hard working. We started with chips, salsa and guacamole. The guac was fresh, but lacked some flavor so we had to add salt. I got the taquitos and rice and am sad to say I was disappointed in the taquitos. They had a nice crisp but were pretty bland tasting. The rice on the other hand was fantastic. My husband ordered enchiladas and thought they were "decent" but nothing to write home about. Tough to find as they are tucked back in a little strip mall but well worth it. Very authentic food and excellent portions. Much more reasonably priced than many of the other Mexican win the busy part of town. I had the enchiladas verdes. Love the green Chile sauce and the portions were excellent with lots of shredded chicken. My wife got the shredded chicken burrito which was HUGE. Came with guacamole inside which made it even better. Not sure I have ever had that much chicken in a burrito. The chips and salsa were excellent. The salsa fresh and heavy on the onions which I like. Service was prompt and excellent. Did a great job with social distancing. I am a big fan of authentic Mexican food. This place just didn't do it for me. The service was not good as they made us wait for no other reason than we were white people. While they would continue to seat Hispanic people even when we were there 1st. Made us laugh because it was so obvious as we watch them do it to other white people that came in after us. Freshly squeezed juices, Grand Marnier (NOT triple sec), and top-shelf tequila blanco. A considerable glass--one is plenty! The kids had a kid chicken burrito. It is an adult portion without all the guac, onions, salsa, sour cream, etc. We had enchiladas. I was pleased to see healthy portions of enchilada vs. a plate mostly of rice and beans. I can't rate the beans as I don't care for refried beans and did not eat them. My husband said they were "good". The mole was DELICIOUS. I could have eaten an entire plate of pulled chicken and mole over rice. It is worth the effort to find it (tucked back in a little group of buildings) with excellent hearty dishes to fill your belly after a full day of doing whatever your heart desires. Suitable for any size group, from couples to large families. You should call ahead if you have a group larger than 6. They have an area that could be used for much larger groups. In the past we have LOVED this Mexican restaurant. On June 2, 2020 we drove in from Idaho Falls for lunch at Fiesta, they were closed although their posted hours said they should be open. We called; no answer. We knocked on the door and saw people (employees?) inside yet no one came to the door. Next day thought we would give them a second chance, same thing. Door locked and no one answers the phone. One last chance, this visit they had a sandwich board outside saying "take-out only". Yet again they do not answer the phone so how do you order take out? Stayed in Jackson hole a few days in late April on a road trip touring Tetons and Grand Canyon. My favorite hometown Mexican restaurant sadly closed and now there's no place to get a decent enchilada in Honolulu. On our short trip we found this spot and it reminded my of the family owned, casual but cute, no unnecessary frills, just good food joint that closed back home. Server was great, seemed like he might even be the owner or part owner, made my friend and I strong tasty drinks. As for the food... it definitely hits. Got the trio enchilada plate and all my enchilada cravings were more than satiated. Beans and rice were also good, which I feel a lot of Mexican restaurants don't get right. Licked my plate clean. My friend ordered the California burrito which my 9 year old son sampled and said was the best thing he ate on our entire road trip (traveled through 5 states) and he still talks about to this day. Such an awesome spot! We stopped off here as we were waiting to be able to check in to the lodge at Jackson hole, about a 2 minute walk away. So glad we did! The chips were freshly made and hot, the salsa was awesome, and the drinks were strong! I got a margarita and the trio enchiladas and my partner got a corona and the traditional burrito. Everything was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Booths were spaced apart and masks were required when you weren't at your booth. I felt really safe and very satisfied. Stopped into Fiesta for lunch right off the plane into Jackson and it was so good to avoid les touristes at this off-the-path authentic Mexican spot The tacos and burritos were tasty and carefully made. Fresh ingredients and an authentic but not gourmet styling to the food. Prices are very reasonable...I think each taco was $1.50. Good stuff. If you're in Jackson Hole enroute to Yellowstone or Grand Teton, this is the spot. Food here in Jackson Hole is pricey. It is a tourist destination after all. A burrito is $12.50, which isn't bad considering they all come with guacamole. I love guac - it's usually such a luxury that it's refreshing to have it included standard. I got the carne asada plate. Absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked just right, with a good amount of seasoning. Flour tortillas came piping hot, and everything was put together nicely. My friend got the three enchiladas, which were also delicious. The deluxe taco with cactus was certainly interesting, but not anything noteworthy. We just wanted to try it. We also got a huge basket of tortilla chips (which I believe are housemade[?]), with salsa for free. There was only two of us! Great way to start the meal and sadly not always standard at Mexican restaurants. Service was excellent. Server walked us through the menu, giving us a few recommendations. He came by with water, and was very polite. This is how service should be! Overall, this is a great place to stop at within Jackson. We were going to go to another Mexican restaurant that had posted on their website that they were open, but when we arrived they were in fact closed. By that point we were crazing Mexican, so we searched for another Mexican restaurant in the area, and we found Fiesta Mexican Restaurant and it happened to be right around the corner. I did not take the website hours for their word, I instead called to make sure that Fiesta was open. The woman that answered assured me that they were open for lunch until 3pm. We drove around the corner and found our way into the restaurant. We were happily greeted by the woman I had just gotten off the phone with. She sat us at a low sitting booth. The restaurant itself is nothing to look at, but we were not there for an upscale interior. We were there for authentic Mexican food and great service. The server made sure that we were taken care throughout the entire meal. When we entered the restaurant there was a special board that listed Today's Special. A burrito with fried chicken, onion, tomato, cilantro and special sauce. Served with enchilada sauce, cheese, lettuce, pico, guacamole, sour cream and a side of rice and beans. All for $12.00. I asked our server what she thought of the special and she said she tried it and that it was big and delicious. So we ordered up two specials. We enjoyed our cold Negra Modelo while we waited for our lunch. It did take some time for our food to come out but that was just fine for us, we were relaxing, enjoying each others company, in no rush. When specials came out we saw she was not lying, the amount of food was huge. The aromas were mouthwatering and the first bite did not disappoint. The sauce was perfection. I feel that they make their enchilada sauce from scratch and I'm not an expert, but my guess is it was authentic. Each bite was better than the last. It was delicious.
