Ok, I have a new favorite grocery store in the Tri-cities, and I have to thank all of you Yelpers for keeping it on my radar. But you know what, this place isn't just a grocery store, it's a cultural experience. Boom!! You walk in the entrance and if you are looking for some bling bling, they have a counter full of all kinds of :::JEWELERY:::. [If you're into that] After the jewelery stand, there's the :::PANADERIA::: (Mexican bakery) with all kinds of colorful and yummy-looking baked goods. Jewelery & Panaderia within 10 seconds of entering? Yeah, I'd have to say I was in awe and wide-eyed in amazement. I backpedaled a few steps....then picked up a Fiesta Foods re-usable green & flashy grocery bag, and then started my reconnaissance. Pinatas adorn much of the store, and I'm sure you can pick one for your pleasure if you were in need. I first went to the :::PRODUCE::: area. Wow! Y'know how produce sections are generally bleak this time of year? Well, I'd have to say the Fiesta section was pretty dang awesome. They had lots of your normal staples to choose from, and they all looked fairly nice during this off-season time of year. I especially like how on each sign for each fruit they post the name of the fruit and the country of origin. There were many "Products of USA", but there were also many interesting and new-to-me "Products of Mexico". I liked that. I need to take notes, and be adventurous the next time I'm here. I ended up getting some limes (3 for $1) & guavas. I then made my way through the rest of the store. The store is really clean, and I didn't think the aisles were particularly narrow as others have said. I noticed that there were tons of items on the shelves which were completely foreign to me (and adorned with labels in Spanish). I then made my way to the :::CARNICERIA::: (Meat/butcher area). First thing to catch my eye here was the seafood. There were many different types of fish, and they all looked nice and fresh. I also liked the attention to detail, there were flower-cut naranjas (oranges) spaced around the fishies, and they definitely added a *POP* to the aquatic pickin's. I then continued my trip around the periphery of the store. I didn't really go in the middle too much---I was late for an engagement, but I'll leave that for next time, for sure! In the refrigerated section I saw all sorts of beer options, and tons of Mexican beers. But the one libation that caught my eye, "the Champagne of Mexico": :::PULQUE::: I didn't really know much about pulque other than what I saw on Travel shows. It's an agave-based alcoholic beverage, and I actually had the chance to try it when I was in Tepoztlan, MX over the summer. Will pick some up next time. Then I was on to the highly-regarded :::DELI:::. Now, I had intended to pick up some tamales, but the older ladies behind the counter said they didn't have any (there was a language barrier, so I didn't press as to why they didn't have tamales, or tacos on the ready). So, I picked up a ticket number (I was ochenta y cinco...85). I then ordered a half pound of lengua (beef tongue) & al pastor (meat seasoned with pineapple!). I also picked up some freshly-made jalapeno tortillas (they were green). I was going to make my own tacos! Oh yeah, and let's not forget the :::TORTILLERIA:::! Yeah, they have a tortilla-making machine right there, and tons of tortilla options for the choosing. Also in the neighborhood here was a juice & ice cream station. I believe I saw jugs of horchata & jamaica here. Made a mental note to check this later. I then made my way to the checkstand.... --"Get that shirt outta here!" said the checker. --I was a little surprised, and then started to zip up my fleece top to cover my shirt. I was wearing an Argentina futbol jersey under my fleece. So yeah, she started to talk to me about how she had to pay $85 (ochenta y cinco) to buy a friend an Argentinian jersey because they beat Mexico in the World Cup. D'oh! I felt like a total heel! But she was joking and totally smiling. She was super funny! This place was AWESOME!! And I can't wait to go back!

It's an okay store. It smells funny but you can find pretty much anything Mexican you're looking for.

Good produce section and great prices. Store is super crowded. Need to open another location or expand to help elevate the congestion.
