Totally love the choices you get/have in specialty cheeses, olives in their wine bar. The veggies are to die for, with your selection really over the top. The fish market has so many things to select from that you'll change your dinner plans twice just looking over it to trying to decide on what you're having. The bakery has so many items that you'll get lost just looking. Oh have I said anything about their rotisserie chicken?? You can't go wrong with picking one up for that quick dinner or lunch. Be cautious when purchasing flowers at Yokes. On Valentines Day my hubby bought me a beautiful boutique. Two days later flowers were Dead! I ask how much he spent, he said $84. I called Yokes and spoke with night manager. I said I didn't want a refund but would like to switch the dead ones out. When I spoke to the florist she said, yeah some flowers don't get much water. She made a new boutique. I thanked her for making it write and left. I wish I would have requested a refund. Its been a week and EVERYTHING is dead, started dieing on Saturday (it had only been two days). I filled container to the top with water. It was too late. Now I know what florist was saying. She fills a little vase with flowers but its so crammed with flowers the water cannot reach all stems. Why not use a bigger vase or less flowers? Would that not fix the issue? She knew the issue, fix it. Yokes is supposed to be a "quality " store. I stopped buying from the seafood deli last year because the items were stinky, shrimp and cod. I told my spouse no more seafood or flowers from there. read more

My neighborhood market is always spotlessly clean. Fabulous meat department. The staff has ALWAYS gone out of their way when assisting me. I was actually surprised at one review, so I checked her other reviews. Some people just have a NEED to be overly critical, and of course can never say anything positive. Love, love, love, love, love this store. I love this whole chain of stores. The stores are gorgeous, their organic options are really nice. Their produce is heads and tails over the competition, wonderful cheese selections, their meat is always looking very fresh. Prices are a bit more than you'd pay other places, at least a 1.50$ increase on a lot of items I can get other places. But the things they have that other places don't really is worth it, and shopping in here is so pleasant. The employees are all wonderful, I just love being in there. I was super impressed by this store. It is quite large and includes a coffee shop, specialty cheese section, fresh seafood, pizza stand and a large deli and bakery. The northwest wine section is spectacular! They carry some organic and natural foods and the produce section is large and inviting. The layout of the store is nice - spacious so I don't feel like I risk a collision at every turn. If this was closer to my house, I would be here every day! read more

My husband's parents live near this Yokes and shop here frequently. When we are in town we have always received excellent service and don't mind paying a little more for quality, convenience and mostly to support a local company. But this review is to highlight the staff and people who work here. Last week a kind gentleman made me a deli ham and cheese sandwich and told me to "be sure to tell your husband I used the "best part" of the ham for him". Yesterday we were in aisle #1, asked where the plastic forks are, and instead of just telling us "in aisle #14", the nice man stopped what he was doing and walked us all the way to the opposite end of the store to take us to the plastic forks. But this tops about anything I have ever experienced, anywhere... My Father-In-Law passed away last week. My Mother-In-Law received a hand-written sympathy card from the Pharmacy staff, with personal messages to her. And yesterday, when she went in to pick up a prescription, the lady who helped her said, "I am glad to help you with this, but first, I want to say how sorry I am for your loss, is there anything we can do to help you?" AND she meant it! People, if there was ever any business to support with your hard-earned dollars, this is the one! read more

Not impressed at all with the Bakery manager At kennewick, wa yokes store. Rude to a customer? Not good! when I asked for a specific cake I wanted and I needed in 4 days I was told I was not going to get it in that time period. I asked why and she stated " that's just the way it is". What can I say? This is a grocery with an average selection of grocery items on the shelves. However, the produce section is typically well-stocked with local produce, when available. The fish department has better-than-average selection of fish and shellfish, and even a reasonable selection of prepared proteins for meals - such as stuffed chicken, stuffed salmon, and kebabs. The wine selection at this Yokes is a fair bit less than her sister store in West Richland, but there is still a decent selection of Northwest, as well as international, wines. The cheese and meat shop has a nice selection of cheeses and charcuterie as well as an olive bar. Several times I've had them whip me up a mixed plate of cheeses and meats for events and have never been disappointed. read more

I live in Los Angeles, with my family in Kennewick....right around the corner from Yolks. Mothers Day I was sad I wasn't there for brunch with the whole family, my mom, grandmothers and great aunt. Im have been so busy at work the past few weeks that i dropped the Mothers Day ball. I called Yolks on actual Mothers Day at 12pm to see if I could buy a pie and have my dad pick it up. The store manager or supervisor a very nice gentalman was more than helpful in checking on what they had when I'm sure he was very busy. After hearing of all the many choices I got the Turtle Cheesecake and he left a little note on it for me. :D Thank you for making Mothers Day a lottle more special for me and my mom!! I always thought it was common knowledge or at least common courtesy that when a new line opens up the cashier offers the next person in line a spot first. Apparently not here. Long lines and the clerks are talking to each other instead of paying attention to the customer. Then a new line finally opens up but they grab people at the end of the line. Everyone at this store is friendly. They have an interesting selection of fresh seafood. But the part I really like is their selection of beer - they have a great micrbrew selection. They also have a lot of good cheese to choose from. They have very fresh and high quality produce. Their take and bake pizzas are reasonably priced and are one of the better store bought take and bakes. They sponsor baseball teams for Kennewick American Cal Ripken Youth baseball league and that's another reason why I like this store. read more

I shop here every time I am in town visiting. It's a great store. Somewhat high end and they have a lot of variety. They have a great healthy choices area. They have great prices, local organic fruit, and veggies. The customer is excellent and helpful. Also, they have a great deli that on a few occasions would buy their chicken. I love the color of their fruits and veggies in here. I have never had a bad experiance with their selection of the produce section. They always have managers specials and discounted food that looks pretty good. We had some of their discounted smoked salmon and it was almost comparable to my beloved Templemans. The meat selection here is very trim and healthy chunks. I like how they have a great selection of any precentage of lean to fatty ground beef. Best place that I have found to get fresh vegetables in the Kennewick area. The meat selection is pretty good as well. We generally stick close to home, but for fresh vegetables and meat I will drive out of my way. The wine and beer selection is great as well. As for dry goods they are a bit high priced so we stick with Costco for bulk items and Winco for the dry goods. read more

I would love to give this store five stars, but the quality of the prepped salads and the baked goods in the bakery have gone downhill in the past couple years. Having gotten the bad stuff out of the way, I have to add that the service is top notch, and the variety of meats, cheeses, olives and seafoods is the best I've seen in Kennewick. As mentioned by others, the regular prices are higher than the big grocers, but their sale prices are extremely competitive. I have often picked up 93% fat free ground beef for under $3 a pound. They have a nice organic selection throughout the store, as well as in their Nature's Corner aisles, which have plenty of choices in canned and bagged goods, dairy items, frozen products and organic beverages. Yoke's is the best chain of grocery stores in Tri Cities. Hands down. I love this store in Kennewick. The people are super nice. It's employee owned, and they really take pride in their company. The post office area is quick and easy, but they don't do registered, international, or overnight mail, FYI. No big for me, I just go to the real PO down the street if I need that stuff. The redhead behind the counter at the lotto machine is both funny and professional, and she totally made me feel welcome. I'd come back just for her! Produce and meat are great, and when I got lost looking for something, one of the managers helped me out, instead of ignore, like other stores around here. As our local grocery store, we are here pretty dang frequently! What I really love about this store is the people - they are always friendly and know their product. I went today to get some feta for lasagna I am making and instead of just pointing me to the feta on the shelf, she talked to me about this fresh Israeli feta that is absolutely to die for. I was recently made aware of a situation that happened at this store. One of my daughters went to the store last month to make a shopping list by price of things she wanted to save up money for. After she came home she looked through her belongings and found enough change to buy one of those things. She wanted to go back but it was dark so I had her uncle accompany her as well as her tomboy sister who also wanted to join. The management approached them all and accused them of stealing. They emptied their pockets to show they had not done such a thing. Now we have been shopping there for over a year since we moved into the neighborhood and spend roughly $600- $800 each month. My kids are afraid to leave the house now and pretty much the who family has taken up arms to boycott the store. Be careful in this store if you do not want to be the next victim. read more

I have shopped here ever since the store opened, but I recently went in for a coffee expecting an experience like my previous ones and was pleasantly surprised. The young lady was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, but also let me take my time to order and didn't push me. She charged me a reasonable price and make an AMAZING LATTE! The best latte I've had in the Tri-Cities. Great customer service, great product. This young lady did extremely well. I did go in there a few more times, but she wasn't there the last time and the coffee wasn't as good. read more
