Really enjoying our Irish Red Ale at Sage Brewing!
    Alden C.

Sage Brewing is one of the newer breweries to have opened in the Tri Cities since my last visit here. It's been around for a little while actually but with the pandemic I did not make it down this way all that terribly often. For Sage Brewing Steve and I split a beer. We split the Irish Red which actually was very good. I don't normally go for red ale but at the same time I don't have anything against it either. This red was a fine one with It's brown sugar flavor profile and a good maltiness this Red Ale proved to be very enjoyable for both of us!

The owners are very helpful at helping you select a beer. They have a very good list of their drafts on display.

Very refreshing beers. Perfect body for most beers I tried. Seems too many places serve heavy bodied beers (relatively speaking).

You walk in, they hand you a wristband, and suddenly you are the bartender, the decision maker, and possibly your own worst enemy in the best way. A full wall of taps, no waiting, and the freedom to sample like a responsible adult or an enthusiastic one. No judgment either way. Now let's talk about the plot twist, the food. This is not your standard throw some fries at it and call it a day bar menu. The birria tacos show up like they are trying to win awards. The asada is legit. Taquitos disappear faster than you planned. It is the kind of place where you say we will just grab a quick bite and then two hours later you are still there debating one more pour like it is a life decision. We rolled in on a Sunday night and accidentally turned it into an extended stay. Hard to leave when every tap is basically daring you to try something new. And then there is the screen. Massive does not even cover it. It feels less like a TV and more like a sports theater. You could sit anywhere and still feel like you have front row seats. Service deserves its own applause. One guy seemed to be running the whole show and still made it look easy. Checking in, keeping things moving, making sure food hit the table fast. The kind of effort you notice because you do not have to ask for anything. Bottom line, Tri City Taps is not just a bar, it is an experience with a dangerously good rhythm. Pour, eat, repeat. We will be back. Probably sooner than our self control would prefer.

What an amazing place! We were looking where to eat at a…read morefood truck stop along the water, that also had a building with shoppes, when I walked unaware into an in progressing beer house. Ladders and tarps were everywhere as two hard working people were working on fixing it up for a grand opening in late April. We met a fine young woman who was one of the owners and she told us about their plans and that they did have a place already open in a barn surrounded by the wheat, barley and hops that they used to new the beer. We took down the address and headed there after we ate from a food truck. We drove 12 minutes away to the site that was indeed surround by fields of beer making goodness. It was awesome just walking around the outside, loving the bucolic feel. But we did not to expect to find what we did inside. The place was absolutely bustling with life. We didn't think this many people would drive out into the fields to drink beer in a barn. But apparently, everyone knows about this place. My teenage son, wife and I walked up to the bar, and my wife told the server lady that we met the owner. She apparently called ahead and gave an accurate description of us because she said right away that she would take care of our drinks! There was even a good non-alcoholic drink for my son. We were floored. And happy. I went right away to find a seat as it looked like it was going to be hard to do, while they waited for the drinks. I ended up finding a good spot near a window where another party had just left. It was a nice couch in the corner with a beautiful log table to set your drink and food on. We wished we were hungry as we witnessed plate after plate of good looking pizza, burgers and other treats go by us. We rested awhile there and drank while observing the life and views around us. It was so fun. Afterwards we walked around the barn. It was equally full of life with heated bubbles, fire pits and a place for the kids and families to play outdoor games. What a find. We are so glad we found this great respite after driving to Kennewick from Post Falls , ID to pick up our son from a competition. We'll stop again next time in the area.

I didn't even end up finishing it before I just ordered a beer... I ordered the shrimp tacos- a basic bland taco [looked pretty but] was a total let down in the flavor department. Really needed some stronger flavors like cilantro, pickled red onion, maybe a mango salsa and MORE sauce (couldn't even taste a sauce)- Though the worst part was the corn tortillas, they were super greasy (not necessary at all, all they need is a little dry char) and fell apart easily. The hubby ordered the steak and tot burrito, can't remember what it was called. Sounded like an interesting choice but turned out to be super delicious! LOADED with flavor! Only thing I'd suggest there would be cut the steak into smaller pieces to make it easier to eat. Side note, their dilly ranch is really yummy. Would probably give them another shot next time we're in the tri cities, but maybe at one of the other locations...
