I don't know about you, but this place seems like a scam…read more A salesperson just came to my door, rang the bell twice and then started knocking away (continuously hammering). As soon as I got to the door and opened it a tiny bit, I see some scuzzy looking kid in shorts and a DIRTY polo. The emblem on his polo was hardly legible; his verbal representation wasn't any more professional. Who's going to buy meat from some mystery company selling it out of a van? From a dirty looking person? Be weary.

So I'm writing this in the hopes that others will utilize my review to make a good decision. I've…read moreseen these guys driving around in various towns around the Columbia Basin. They're "sort of" like Schwanns, but not really. I had nothing to go on when they rang my doorbell, so I went with my gut. I gave them a try and bought 1 box of NY Strip steaks. I think we got 6 or8 steaks for $40. While not the best deal on planet earth I figured it would give me a chance to try them out. They claim their meats are USDA Prime, aged, organic no hormone, beef. Well....I've never had a USDA Prime cut that had that much gristle in it. The flavor was okay. The sales pitch is a bit relentless unless you just out and out tell them "No!". They were very polite, and they looked professional (albeit quite young). With all that said, I WOULD NOT buy from them again based on the quality of the meat. It just wasn't that great. If I'm going to pay a premium price then the product better be premium as well. In this case it wasn't. Hope this keeps some money in somebody's wallet. While I don't think it's a "scam", I do believe it's not that great of a deal. You're better off buying from a local butcher or perhaps by a large Rib Roast or NY strip roast at Cash And Carry and cut your own steaks.

So I bought one at the store. Then I went back that next Monday and I got the same sub and a pickle got in the car started eating it and the pickle was just skin and the sub hardly had any meat. For the price u pay there it should have more than enough meat. Very disappointed. But they are my favorite so I will be going back This is now 5-19 went back to the same location and ordered a med sub it was 20 bucks with chips and drink. And this is not the first time they hand me my food and sawe are out of pickles. When I ordered she said we have pickles but we have to open the bucket. But the person who had my food said they were out. If I would have known that I wouldn't have ordered a sub. I love their pickles so I was so upset. I just need to stop going!

I attempted to cancel in store and they couldn't assist. They called a manager who told them to just have me call customer support. Customer support number isn't a working number. I contacted the support via email who told me that the store would need to cancel the order. Overall I wasted $20 and never got help in time. I wouldn't spend my money here again after that. It's just a terrible loophole should you need any kind of support

::::: I am a human Pac Man, and I eat purple dots. :::::…read more I wait the entire year for late summer. That's when you hit the mountains to pick purple jewels of goodness: huckleberries. But, until then, you can prime your harvesting skills with other globes of goodness. So from May - July one can take a short drive from the Tri-Cities and check out a few places to pick blueberries (a cousin to the mountain huckleberry). While heading out to go fly fishing on the Touchet, we noticed signs for "U-Pick Blueberries". There were quite a few cars parked out & a decent crowd out foraging. This all struck me as something I would need to investigate. A week later, I made my move. I picked a field which was off the beaten path. Berry Blue Farms had a small hand-written sign on the road. So, I pointed myself northward, and drove along the gravel road for a mile or 2. I eventually came upon the Snake River in the distance and could see a few cars parked in the distance and a field of bushes....blue berry bushes. I arrived around 1pm (they were open until 2...yeah, I'm a late riser on the weekend). I talked to the person who you pay, and she sent me on my way. The blue berries were $2/lb. You can pick as many as you want, and you can eat as many as you want when you're out there. I also overheard her saying something about how some blueberries have a white coating/powdery substance on them---that's to help protect them and keep their flavor. This is an organic farm, and they also have a few different varieties of blue berries. After pleasantries, I split. I was on a mission. I walked a few steps, knelt, and got to business. Wow, blueberry pickin' is surprisingly pretty easy. The berries easily come off the branch. Within minutes I easily had a pound of firm, ripe, and tasty blueberries. I don't know what it was, but some primal instincts kicked in. I was a berry pickin' machine. I was getting giddy, mad, obsessed. After 30min or so I easily had 5-6lbs.....but at this time I realized I lost my phone!! (Yeah, I stupidly was posting pictures of my pickin' on Facebook, and left my phone on the top of a bush to have a better signal to upload a photo). Anyway, I ended up wasting the rest of my time in the field looking for my phone...without any luck. Sadly, I walked over to pay my berries, BUT as I approached the table to pay, I saw a woman with a black rectangle in her hand....my phone. I asked her if she happened to find a phone. Yes, she did. Ah, life in the country. For $12, I made it home with more blueberries than I could handle. I gave some away, but I wished I knew how to make jam, pies, etc. Guess that's what I'll try next summer. Be sure to wash your lot. I found little spiders in my bag of berries.
