Fiesta de Frutas is a little hole-in-the-wall, located in the tunnels, that can be tricky to find. The search, however, is well worth it! They (more like just HE) make delicious food, smoothies, and fresh fruit cups. While in town for work we took to the tunnels to explore the breakfast options. After roaming around a bit we came to FdF and I knew I had to try it. The location is small but the menu is not: so many options and they all sound great! The fresh fruit options alone will boggle your mind. We went with the breakfast tacos and I got a smoothie. Wow! Both were DELICIOUS and made to order. Not only that, but the guy that served them was ready, willing, and eager to satisfy any request and with a smile. He is just a genuinely nice guy. Surprised as I was to see how long this little spot has been around (as evidenced by Yelp) I'm actually not... I could see this having a loyal following - heck, count me among them even though I only make it to Dallas (maybe) twice a year! read more

Food - great portion size, good flavor on the tacos and spice level on the green salsa. Location - this is in the downstairs basement of the building with a reasonable sitting area and tables. This tiny little place inside Renaissance Tower is a gem. The fruit is always fresh and they have a good selection of juices and smoothies! Super yummy. The food is what keeps me coming, Authentic, hot Mexican food. I recommend the chicken quesadillas and the refritos. Also, the enchiladas they sometimes have are truly yummy. The food here gets 5 stars from me. The staff is also very friendly and fast. The only reason they lose a star is for the price! I think it's too pricey! I easily spend $15 on a lunch plate and orange juice. I think it's too pricey for a shop inside Renaissance Tower. I will continue to eat here though, and I recommend this to anyone looking for a good, hot lunch or breakfast! read more

This place is so frustrating! I generally like their food but the service and pricing are random! The prices for the same items I get time after time chg depending on day or who rings it up. Smoothies are very good but very pricey especially if you add things (add ins have secret pricing). The guy that seems to be in charge is cheap with the serving sizes and has disdain for most customers. Food is very good and the cooking/food service area is clean and neat. I know the name says "fruit", but this is the place to go for fresh, authentic Mexican food. Everything on their Mexican menu is delicious, hot and fresh. Their Wednesday special, Caldo de Pollo, which is a weekly favorite for me, is a huge, yummy bowlful with a load of chicken and plenty of vegetables. And say "yes" when they offer to add pico de gallo, guacamole and hot sauce! The people who run Fiesta de Frutas are wonderful too. Well worth supporting! One of the best lunch spots for people that work downtown. You can't go wrong with any of their smoothies and they are extremely affordable. I like to get the veggie burrito (loaded with black beans and it's not extra for guac!) and a smoothie for about 12 bucks. Great place to grab some authentic style tacos, non-tex mex. The Carne Asada has great flavor and moist. The prices seem a bit high for this style of mexican food, but the food is good so not complaining too much. Food was horrible. I got chalupa and my tortilla was stale so I took it back and explained to them so they could give me something else. The guy that work there told me "I must of confused him with Taco Bell". Wow, insult! But the menu is all wrong, it says every meal comes with rice and beans but my chalupa meal only came with beans on it and rice was extra. Definitely not eating anything from here. Finally tried their breakfast tacos..very fresh and delicious. The only reason I'm giving it only four stars is because they advertise on their marquee board egg and potato which I have been wanting all week and they only had one left. I bought the last one and something else that I didn't know what it was because of their dollar amount on purchases using debt card. This location appears to be fun, friendly and efficient, however the guy is not friendly at all and as soon as you make a request he switches his language and talks about you in Spanish. Mind you, being successfully bilingual, I understood him making the comment "too many requests" or "why can't THEY just take what's on the menu"...I wonder who they is. Also, when ordering a bowl(container) of fruit, it usually costs $5.50, and I would always order same fruits everyday or every other day (watermelon & strawberries or watermelon & grapes) well depending on who's at the register, they tried to charge me $7.50 2 days later for the same thing I always get. And the guy made the comment that sometimes they pay more for certain fruits so they have to charge more. This is a horrible way of conducting business. There is an extreme lack of consistency with prices and a very poor level of customer service. If anyone in charge of this location, other than the small staff there, please contact me for additional details and address the staff. I wish they were more like the Fruteria Cano locations....even though they barely speak any english there, they rock! read more

What a refreshing addition to Renaissance Tower. They are always so friendly and I am a fan of their smoothies. I don't think their smoothies are overpriced. They are cheaper or at least on par with Jamba Juice and Smoothie King. I do wish they had more options for protein, but all in all, I am very glad this place popped up! read more

I came here based on other reviews. It was a bit hard to find as it's not in the food court, but it is well worth the effort. The green enchiladas were excellent as was the green smoothie. Best of all is the staff- they are very friendly and welcoming. read more

Been here only once but I'm in love! I had the fruit cup & it was so fresh every piece was like heaven. I plan on going back for breakfast & lunch today & try their tacos. Finally found a nice place to buy my precut fruit. read more
