I stopped here thinking that it was a Mexican restaurant but it's not because it's like American dishes done with a Mexican twist, see the menu photos of the origin location. The place is nice looking with a cool bar and a few tables. Since there was not all the traditional Mexican favorites and a lot of breakfast items on the menu I ordered the enchilada omelette which is chicken, onion, tomato's and peppers topped with cheese, green sauce, avocado and cilantro. My server started me with a basket of sliced concha's, a Mexican breakfast sweet bread. The enchiladas omelette comes with baby red potatoes and toast. The enchilada omelette looked amazing and the potatoes are cooked in something because they had color to them. The white toast was good because it was dense with a chew like a good sourdough, obviously bakery quality bread. The baby reds were good but needed some salt. The omelette was huge with plenty of chicken and tasty with all the layers of flavors blending nicely. Never in a million years would I order a chicken omelette but enchilada style actually worked very well.

We came in for the soft opening, & the food was delicious. Be warned that they have a lengthy menu, covering breakfast, American, Mexican, & some intriguing fusion dishes. I had the Paisano carnitas panini, & my friend had a salad. The panini was very flavorful, & the bread was just crunchy enough without being too hard. The salad looked delicious, with greens, chicken, walnuts, avocado, etc. And it was plenty large enough for a full meal. They have a full bar w 12 tap beers. I'll have to come back to appreciate that. The only down side was the music and acoustics made it difficult to have a conversation. I will go back & bring friends.

I will give this a quick review. I have waited for this location to open and finally it is! I love the food at the 1st and Greenfield location so I was anticipating the same here and I was right! I ordered the seafood Paella my son got shrimp tacos and my wife ordered Chicken mole enchiladas. Oh yeah we ordered 2 pastor and 2 barbacoa tacos. The Paella was delicious but I have to admit I don't really know how to eat crab. It seems like so much work to get crab meat out. Other than that the shrimp , clams and oysters were super good! I really enjoyed my dish. My son devoured his shrimp tacos! My wife on there hand found some small bones in her enchilada and the sauce was regular salsa roja (red sauce). Our waitress was excellent and got my wife a new dish immediately. This wasn't the best mile sauce though. It was more like a mix of red sauces. All the other food was very good! The atmosphere was inviting and made you feel good. This restaurant is smaller than the original one but it still was very nice. Typically any restaurant that the Garibaldi group opens is good! Can't wait to try breakfast here!

I noticed that the folks in the neighborhood like to gather here and hang out. Love the community feeling! I have ordered a variety of dishes, but I have to say the chilaquiles are my favorite with carnitas. The pork is tender and juicy! Their coffee is decent, although I like mine a lot stronger. Overall, I've been happy with my experience and definitely plan on returning!

The food and service has always been good. Today, we ordered Chilaquiles with Carnitas added in a verde salsa, Corned Beef Hash, and sides of hashbrowns and 2 pancakes (instead of toast). The Chilaquiles were very good and the over easy eggs were perfect. The carnitas were tender and nicely seasoned. The housemade corned beef cubes were tender and the diced pan fried potatoes had a nice latin seasoning blend. I just wish the hash had diced bell peppers and onions. I also wish the poached eggs I asked for with the corned beef hash were cooked properly. I was expecting the type of poached eggs that are like small balloons waiting to be popped so the egg yolk oozes out over the corned beef hash. These poached eggs were over-cooked and looked un-appetizing, but tasted fine. The hashbrowns were perfect - crispy and tender and properly seasoned! The side of pancakes were fluffy and absorbed the syrup quickly. Overall a good visit. The food was mostly on point, except for the disappointing poached eggs and lack of onions and bell peppers often found in a hash. If I go back, I'll stay away from their benedicts (since poached eggs are not executed correctly, and corned beef hash, and instead stick with the Chilaquiles.

I've also tried a few other menu items, and you really can't go wrong. The menu is similar to the other Jackson's locations in the area, which makes it easy to know what to expect. Service tends to be a bit slow, but it's usually understandable since we sit in the bar area, and the bartender is often responsible for both the bar and the nearby tables. They do their best, and we're typically in no rush. That said, one of our more recent visits was a little disappointing. We stopped in around 3 p.m. on a Sunday, and the atmosphere was unusually chaotic. The music was very loud--so loud that it was hard to hear the bartender and even carry on a conversation with my husband. There was also a group of rowdy patrons being obnoxious, whistling, and vaping indoors. I get that it's a bar, and a lively crowd is part of the vibe, but vaping inside should've been addressed. A simple reminder from staff to take it outside would have helped. Overall, I still like Jackson's for a casual hangout with great wings, but I'd appreciate a little more attention to the atmosphere when it starts to get out of hand.
