All amazing service, food and beverages. Very nice people too. Can't wait to go back.

Friendly little spot just down the street from the basilica of St. Josephat. I had the mole and the spouse had a vegetarian option. Huge portions - there was no way I could finish mine. Fast service and very cute setting. read more

Fiesta Garibaldi - Complimentary empanada appetizer came with chips and salsa. - Mexican Near Me - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

I love getting into the various neighborhoods to get off the beaten path to try new restaurants but when I'm meeting friends I usually stay mainstream because not everyone likes to go to the ethnic neighborhoods that I go to and they wouldn't go to naturally on their own. Today I picked this place for lunch to try in a very ethnic part of the city and they actually came. The place is small with a bar that is very colorful on the outside and the inside with all Spanish people eating so that's a good sign if the locals fill the place. The menu is big with lots of choices and a noticeable nice seafood menu. My buddy's actually liked the place from the start and we were given an empanada plate with chips and salsa. We ordered a round of margaritas which we all liked so we had a second round later with lunch. The complementary empanadas plate was a nice surprise. A man played guitar and and sang songs which was nice ambience while we ate and drank our margaritas. I ordered the combination plate with a steak taco, ground beef enchilada, Al Pastor tostada with rice and beans. The steak taco was American style on a large flour tortilla with lettuce, tomato and sour cream which was good. The ground beef enchilada was was smothered in red sauce and two cheeses and was also good. The Al pastor tostada was good also with the pork that was average with beans, peppers, lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream that was tasty. The rice was cooked perfect and fluffy and the beans were very good because the were very flavorful and seasoned nicely, not bland at all. As a couple Italians and a polish guy we definitely stood out in the place but a nice guy at the end of bar sent over a round of tequila shots which was very cool and welcoming to strangers, that made my day. Overall we had a great lunch and my buddy's said that this was a great choice and one even said it's the best Mexican food he has had and I replied that you have to get into the neighborhoods, no it's not the best Mexican food that I have had but it's was pretty good and they made us feel very welcome. read more

Went here since we received a gift certificate but they wouldn't take it since owners changed, yes we should have asked before eating and ordering but the "expiration"was 9/2024 . Order a peach margarita and got a mango margarita pitcher and was charged $25 for it- yes delicious but considering we ordered a glass. Food was great and music was great. Probably will never go back read more

Ordered a shrimp ceviche and the shrimp was dry, chewy and tasted funny thing all. I seemed to be days old and has maybe been left out. Also, I ordered bottled coke and it was flat. This was a very disappointing experience. I will definitely not be going back and I do not recommend this location. read more

Outstanding! Entering review after a great Sopa de Marisco and a michelada. Good thing so so place I was going to try again was closed. Searched and found rhis slot. Authentic Mariscos, many meun option to try, good variety of micheladas. I wish I was local to Milwaukee to work my way through menu. A few $ more than I am used to paying in SoCal but worth every penney. Nice friendly staff. Will definitely return. High recommend. Came back to Milwaukee and stopped in for a Campechana. Outstanding! Tried a house Michelada tasted different than I am used too, not bad but wasn't great. MaybeI need to order a double beer one as I finished like I was dying of thirst. Overall still a high recommend. read more

Fiesta Garibaldi - Ceviche Tostadas Ceviche - Mexican Near Me - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

After trying it, one time doesn't do it justice. I need to go back again. And again. Then again. Ostiones En Su Concha Al Charro Negro: Shelled oysters topped with pic de gallo, lime, avocado, and shrimp. Okay, if I was an oyster lover I could see how this dish is amazing. It looks amazing. The shrimp and avocado were amazing. I simply can't do oysters. Buuuut...my girlfriend can. I think I can confidently say she gives her seal of approval. If it wasn't for her main dish, I'm sure she would've finished it. Bistec Con Rajas Y Queso: Marinated steak with onions, tomatoes, and peppers topped with chihuahua cheese. Served with a side or rice, refried beans and corn tortillas. I couldn't finish it but it definitely was enjoyable. Each portion was seasoned very well and tasted great. This made for a great taco when you placed them all in a tortilla. read more

I have been wanting to try Fiesta Garibaldi ever since my Veracruzano cooks told me they had the best Mexican seafood in Milwaukee. I was afraid the location closest to our house, on Bluemound near the stadium, might tone down the spiciness for American palates, so we headed to 9th and Lincoln. I was more than impressed. First of all, free appetizers included chips and salsa with a side of marinated jalapenos, a small dish of wonderfully spicy ceviche and two seafood empanadas. Service was quite quick and good. I ordered the Mexican paella and my husband a mojarra moho de ajo - aka whitefish fried with lots of garlic. My paella - especially considering the $12.95 price tag - was divine. There was an entire crab, lots of shirmp, oysters, clams and a few other mysterious sea items mixed with a wonderfully flavored rice. My husband's fish, the entire thing, just as he likes it, was about as large as the plate. Covered in golden brown garlic and served with a side of rice and a cold crab salad, it was a great meal This location is small and crowded, but comfortable and festively decorated. I will most definitely back sometime soon to try their huge cocteles de camaron! read more

Authentic Mexican Cuisine + Seafood = Muy Bueno! The menu at Fiesta Garibaldi is primarily seafood and it is delicious. When I eat Mexican food, I primarily eat chicken or beef rather than seafood. But this was a great opportunity to try seafood at a Mexican restaurant. I split an order of shrimp quesadilla appetizers and it was huge. We only ate one of the three because it was a meal in itself. In addition to the chips and salsa, ceviche and empanadas that are free, I was getting pretty full already. My girlfriend and I split oysters and chimichangas. The oysters had pico de gallo, avocado, hot sauce and a shrimp on top (no kidding, a shrimp on top). I like heat, but the hot sauce on the oysters was pushing my limits. The shrimp chimichangas were really tasty and authentic and I would get them again. All the dishes had big portion sizes which was a bonus. A lot of the other customers seemed to be locals and that's always a good sign for me. Our waitress was nice and helpful, and I would recommend this place for anyone that wants a truly authentic, Mexican meal. read more

My wife and I met the in laws to eat here on sunday 8-11-13. This was our first time eating here and the food is average at best. Not many Mexican seafood places here in Milwaukee or seafood places in general so it's hard to compare it to another place. Atmosphere: Very small place. Typical Mexican deco. They have a bar you can sit at or tables. There are a few Flat screens hanging and the place was clean. Service: They had 5 waitresses which is a lot for a small place. So we were attended well and the staff was friendly. She kept coming back to our table asking if we needed more drinks and brought out more chips and salsa. Great service. Food: Don't set your hopes high. I understand milwaukee is not by an ocean but all of the seafood had a frozen taste to it. They do cover everything with their special salsa to make it taste better. I ordered Caldo de Mariscos which is seafood soup. The soup itself tasted like vegetable soup with seafood it in. I have ate this soup many times before and never ate it with celery or peas. It had oysters and blue crab in it and they were cooked to death. The calamari was rubberish and the shrimp had no flavor. $16.99 for soup with frozen seafood out of a bag throw into a soup that tasted like canned vegetable soup? Too expensive. The main ingredient always found in this soup is potatoes and it contained none. My wife ordered paella($16.99) which is basically rice cooked with seafood. Normally any good paella needs to have the rice cooked with the seafood to add flavor to the rice. Instead the rice was made separate and they threw the seafood on top of it. Then threw the sauce on top of everything. Literally everyone's food had the same sauce poured on top. The seafood is not fresh and overcooked. I'm assuming they smother everything with sauce so it adds flavor to the dried up seafood. Service is excellent so I gave it one more star. We saw many single guys here and after tasting the food I think it's good for those who are "crudos" (hungover) I heard La Canoa up the street has fresh seafood so we are going there next and I'll write a review comparing the two places. read more

Three kinds of salsa, including a chunky avocado crab salsa. Seafood empanadas and a bowl of tortilla soup before dinner even arrives. I had the tostadas dinner - 1 chicken, two chorizo. They came piled high with queso fresco, tomatos, lettuce and a dollop of crema. The rice was decent, the beans tasted a little off, but everything else was wonderful here. Hubby had chicken burrito dinner, and it came stuffed! Our bill with drinks, came to $22. You get your money worth here! read more

The food is decent not great, the place is small, I went on Sunday and it was like a Mexican cantina, not a place where I want to bring my family again, drunk guys in the other tables yelling at each other, noisy music from a jukebox, the paella is nothing close to Spanish paella, not a place where I want to come back. read more

This will be my first of many times coming to this restaurant. A good friend of mine told me to try this place out. Now I will make sure I bring the ones I love here to enjoy the environment and the amazing seafood. Thank you to the entire staff for allowing me to experience this place. Definitely will recommend and make this my new seafood place. I'm from Bosron so I truly feel that I have tried some of the best. read more

The paridilla here is absolutely delicious. A meal for 2 will easily serve 3 or 4 adults. Yummy!

I'm finally getting around to posting this. It's been awhile since we gave this place a try, but trying to get delivery from these guys was a fiasco. I'm new-ish to Yelp, but this was just so bad that it's worth revisiting just for posterity's sake. My girlfriend and I placed an order for delivery; she ordered the Combo Tierra Caliente (steak and quail, basically) and I ordered the Paella Mexicana de Mariscos. About a half an hour later, we received a call back: the restaurant was out of quail and wanted to substitute another portion of steak. That, in and of itself, is totally fine; quail is sort of an unusual ingredient. I mean, it was kinda the reason my girlfriend ordered that dish, but it's definitely not the end of the world. But there were two problems: (1). Calling us a half-an-hour after the order is placed implies that they had not even begun preparing it until that point. I'm not one to complain about a wait generally, but I expect you to at least have it *started* within a half an hour. (2) The English of the woman who called us was not great--this actually didn't bother me too much because the place is located in a heavily Hispanic neighborhood and a culture's food is often best prepared by it's members, but if you're the type of person that is easily frustrated by a language barrier, consider yourself warned. I got over that pretty quickly. My door rang about another half-hour later. An hour for delivery isn't too bad, so I was pleased. We took our food, paid the driver in cash, and sat down to eat. I remember that part clearly. "...The hell is this?," I asked. The driver was long gone. On my coffee table sat two styrofoam take out boxes. The food was neatly divided into a few compartments: one for rice, one for beans, one for guacamole. Noticeably absent was any steak in my girlfriend's box. Also absent was my paella. Thirty some dollars spent for some mashed avocado and about 50 cents worth of rice. We called the restaurant almost instantly. We were told the driver had grabbed the order before it was ready. We were told to hang tight, he'd be right back with the rest of our meal. There was no offer to refund a portion of what we had paid, but in fairness we didn't ask them to. I try to be understanding, and besides..I just wanted my food. 10 minutes went by, then 20, then 30. At this point, frankly, we were just pissed off. We called the restaurant, and there was no answer. We ended up driving down to the restaurant. What happened next is a little bit of a blur for me, honestly. We walked up to the woman wrapping silverware and explained the problem. There was a quick, confused conversation in Spanish that I didn't understand, and within minutes my girlfriend and I were sitting at a table with our dinners. All comped, of course. They made an attempt to fix the problem, but the damage was done, for me. My girlfriend and I ate quickly in the silent, empty restaurant. The two waitresses did their best to alternately avoid contact, and also checking in to see if there was anything we needed. The food itself was okay. It probably wasn't worth what they were asking for it--much of it tasted like it had been prepared from frozen--but it was edible. I don't want to elaborate, because clearly my experience before this biased me against the restaurant. With the attempts to fix the problems, I really wanted to walk away saying I liked the place, but that night was doomed from the start. All there's left to say is one word: FUBAR. read more

I ordered 3 Dinners yesterday One with 2 carne asada tacos and 2 al pastor, The second Dinner was 2 tacos of chorizo The third was 2 tacos of Shrimp and one of fish and one of chicken. I paid $46.00 dollars. It was (Delivery). What I got was: Dinner # 1, 1 enchilada, steak meat Dinner # 2, 3 tacos of chorizo that was like bread crumbs over cooked so we threw that out in the trash. It looked and taste like it had been sitting there all day. Dinner # 3 2 shrimp tacos, 1 carne asada. Shame on you people. The worst part of this was that when I called them back to fix this problem because they already had my $46.00, was that the waitress hung up the phone on me 5 times. I had to keep calling back because we wanted what we ordered. they only replaced 1 order. I am very unhappy with their service and their food. They need a better cook and a waitress that is not going to hang up on their customers... Shame on You!! The only part of this order that was correct was the rice and beans.. read more

Probably one of my favorite local places to eat. Salsa and chips are great. Never had a bad meal. Love chimichangas, flautas, the shrimp cocktail is a must try. Lately I tell the waiter to surprise me with something new. Never disappointed. Love the oysters. The octopus is phenomenal too. Authentic tacos as well. I would highly recommend

This restaurant was horrible when honoring a gift certificate from restaurant.com. When I went in this evening for dinner I let them know I had a $25 certificate from there and they told me they would not honor it. They told me I needed to go to a different location. I told them that the location on the certificate stated their location on Lincoln. They would not do anything for me regarding this. read more

Don't Order for Delivery (EVER) 0 stars for Delivery. Est Delivery 60-75 Min. Actual Delivery 120 Min. We ordered 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, and a horchata drink. Called for status at 90 min, nobody there spoke English and she asked if I had anyone living here that spoke Spanish :(. She then asked what I ordered and said it was leaving currently. Delivery guy was nice. Food was 3.5 out of 5. It was luke warm by the time it arrived, the cheese on the appetizer was congealed already. The flavors in the food were decent though. I would try going to this location but I would never order delivery from here again. read more

Called in after order was delivered with incorrect food. Restaurant hung up on me after I told them of the issue and proceeded to screen my calls. Finally got them to answer after I called from another phone. They refused all requests and told me to call Eat24. I'm willing to let 1 or 2 mistakes past, but this was the 3rd time in a row they've messed up an order. It's pretty much a gamble if they'll get you're food correct and its about a 50/50 chance that it'll take more than an hour and a half for them to get your screwed up order yup you. read more

Simply great food. Arrived HOT and it was generous and delicious. Will definitely order again!

We ordered recently from here for delivery (even though Yelp doesn't claim they do it anymore) and it wasn't a great experience. The food that my boyfriend had ordered was good and so was mine but they had microwaved the food in the styrofoam containers that they delivered them in to the point that the styrofoam had melted to the food! I ended up just throwing my food out as that is a huge health concern. read more

The food today was awesome except for the missing lettuce, cheese and tomatoes....WTF.

I read a few reviews about there being bad delivery, but my coworker and I decided to give it a try anyway. They must have improved their service because there was no problem with the delivery. It took just under an hour, which was the expected wait time their confirmation email showed. The delivery driver called us when he was nearby because he couldn't find our small office building downtown, but we could easily give him directions; his English was very good, there was no language barrier. The food was delicious and authentic with huge portions (overflowing styrofoam containers.) My coworker got the burrito and it was even bigger than those giant burritos from places like Chipotle, plus it came with rice, beans, and a side salad all for under $10. It was an all-around great experience. If you've tried delivery in the past and had a bad experience you might consider giving it a try again as it appears they have taken the complaints to heart and have vastly improved. read more

Very hard to order as the waitress honestly could not speak any English. When our order came, it was a bit different than the menu description - it clearly stated it came with rice or tortillas. It was impossible to get it straightened out, we asked our waitress several times and she could not understand a word of English, all she did was nod he head and look at us puzzled. We will never go there again! read more
