I really like this place, you just have to know what to order. Tacos, not great, pretty soggy. Steak fajitas, eh. But the chicken enchiladas, flautas and really anything w/chicken is solid. El Patron margarita is delicious & they always have some sports event on in the bar area. I even got serenaded by a mariachi band one time on a Thursday night. Went there today for my wife's graduation lunch, and let me say was the worst food i have had in a long time. First off the chips were stale and the salsa had 0 flavor. So i ordered the tamale and enchilada and was dry and bland. my wife had steak taco's that tasted like old greasy meat. My daughter had the guac salad, the presentation was nice but she said the avocados tasted awful, and the shell that the salad was in tasted like cooked in old oil. My favorite parts of this place were the beautiful decorations and the friendly staff. Our first time here, passing through, from out of town. The food is what you would expect from any Mexican restaurant. My husband and I both had Chimis. Mine was Seafood, which was stuffed with cheese, onions, tomatoes and shrimp. His was shredded beef which was on the dry side and not as flavorful. Servings were generous, they came with refried beans, rice, lettuce, guac and sour cream. I'm going to start on a positive note. The hostess, Avery, was outstanding. She was not only seating guests, but was clearing tables and taking care of Guests checks, when the waiters disappeared. We gave her our tip, for working so hard and caring so much. The food was really bad and the service was even worse. A table, that was seated before us, never got their drinks; got tired of waiting and left. We ordered steak fajitas, but whatever came out wasn't steak. Normally fajitas sizzle when they are brought out; this just laid there. Once we got our food, we never saw our waiter again. He never checked on us and never refilled our drinks. I had to go to the hostess stand, to get our bill. I heard a lot of complaints about the service, from other guests. When I got home (I live 5 minutes from the restaurant) and opened up the containers, the fajitas were ice cold with the seasoning on them but they never were seared. Both orders. Ate there on December 1 with my wife and two friends. My wife had the chicken enchilada, I ordered the beef chimichanga (but received chicken), our friends ordered the chicken quesadilla and steak and shrimp fajitas. The only one to enjoy their meal was the friend that got the fajitas. The chicken on the other 3 dishes tasted like canned chicken, with that tuna fish kind of flavor. None of us with the chicken dishes finished our meals. Service was almost none existent. Not blaming our server since he appeared to be overwhelmed and doing the best he could. We've eaten there several times in the past, and the food and service were great, Maybe this was a one off, and they can't find people to work, but I won't be back to find out. read more

I have been here many times and to many of their locations. Every location is decorated in that rustic baja style so many Americans are used to. I must say that the food here is not my favorite at all. Usually dishes are under spiced and overcooked. Meat dishes like Machaca come out dry and tacos come out with stale shells and lack flavor. Her voice was just dripping with disdain when she was taking drink orders, and afterwards made an icy-sounding comment along the lines of, "I suppose you're all going to want separate checks." But the Head Honcho said he was paying for the whole table. All of a sudden she lightened up and I didn't feel the need for a jacket every time she entered the room. So this is the best Tex-Mex I've had down here. Not insulting the place at all. I just think this area (Brevard) does not focus on Tex-Mex. I would say more 3.5 stars too. The margaritas were done right. Not syrupy or anything. Right amount of booze. The chips and salsa were good too. I am trying to place the salsa. It was like a jar/homemade hybrid. It was good though. The family had a little bit of everything. Nothing was bad. It was all covered here folks. I really enjoyed my carne asada. I just wished I had 3 or 4 tortillas. They make guacamole fresh at your table. We didn't order it, but the table next to us did. I like that. I've seen that elsewhere and I think places are repeating it. And our server was on it too. We tried this place out when we first moved in the area and it was mediocre. Decided to try it again tonight thinking hey it might be better, Nope. At first they were able to bring out water and chips right away. So we then ordered. After 15 minutes, not right away, waitress comes back and says that they can't do my order and and that i have to order al a carte, ok, i guess so i had to order something else. I mean, why not tell me right away, why wait that long. Then 30 minutes passed, 40, 50 we finally decided screw it and we told the waitress to just cancel our order. Their reasoning is that there was a huge party in the other room. I get that, i get that they have business but at the same time, do not sit customers if you cant fully serve them properly of if you don't have the staff. I'd rather be told up front that the food might take longer so I don't waste my time waiting and go elsewhere. Ok theres chips and salsa but I don't want to get full with that. The nacho tortilla chips were soggy, cheese enchiladas were too salty to eat, the crisp tortilla wrapped chicken was bone dry and the ends were hard as rock. The meal was a disaster! I substituted with a protein shake from home. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants! What happened to the cooks? What a sad disappointment. My biggest complaint is not so much with the food, it's with the manager who couldn't take the time to come out and apologize for the twist tie that was in my food They did take it off of the bill but I still think the manager should've made a little bit of an effort. The server was very good. For the record my husband was very happy with his chicken fajitas but they forgot my guacamole, my onions and peppers weren't cooked at all and then there was the whole twist tie issue Won't be back. When I was first introduced to Fiesta Azteca, I lived in Suntree and went to that location. The service was slow but my go to (chicken chimi with la crema) was always delicious. I moved from Suntree, though, and started coming to this location. I've been here three times and reach time the service is slow but the food is decent. Today I came and ordered the same thing as always after waiting upwards of 15 minutes to have my order taken. When I ordered it, the waitress wasn't familiar enough with the menu to know what I was talking about. When I showed her what I was talking about, she said she couldn't do that. I told her every time I've been here before it was possible and that was when she told me she was new and by herself and the problem was she didn't know how much to charge me. When my food came out, she let me know she'd asked a cook and another waitress that had arrived and all of them said that getting a side of that sauce wasn't a thing that had ever been done. I guess she wanted to call me a liar. I guess she also didn't want a tip. I'll start driving to Suntree when I want my Tex-Mex fix. I don't have issues with new wait staff that don't know the menu as well as the customers insisting that my regular meal isn't possible. read more

Apparently, all the slackers who used to work here have left and gone to the new Mexican restaurant in Viera. So who's left at Fiesta Azteca? Only the better people! Fiesta has cleaned house and managed to keep the better bartenders, servers and cooks. We've been to the new place a couple times, and it has been consistently awful. Came back to Fiesta, and it was awesome! The salsa is the best I've ever had. Ask for the spicy salsa they keep hidden for your own safety - it's got a really nice kick. Service is fast, friendly, and furious. And the food is consistently wonderful. I've had their chicken dishes which are great, but my favorite is the shredded beef burrito. Mmmm. I live literally across the street from the new Mexican place, but I still drive 15 minutes for the best Mexican food. Try it - you'll see. read more

Well, their idea of Cinco de Mayo was embarrassing had I been the owner, or even of Mexican descent. What did they do - well, that's it - absolutely Nada. With the exception of a tiny outdoor bar serving beer, and a DJ playing 60's and 70's music with an occasional Mexican based song, it was an ill-conceived and I'll-executed attempt to cash in on a Mexican holiday by doing absolutely nothing. If you wanted anything other than a barely cold beer, you had weather the crowd at the inside bar for up to 20 mins for a drink order. I guess so typical of many restaurant bar owners here in Brevard - small time with no class to offer crap to people willing to accept mediocrity in life. What a shame, it could've been so much more to set them apart from the others. read more
