Happy Cinco De Mayo. This is pretty much our go to Mexican place. We dropped in and was once again so happy. The place was packed because of the holiday. We opted for a quick dinner at the bar. And quick it was, but so good. I had their chimichanga. Fantastic and huge. The meat was perfectly seasoned and so tender. The toppings were fresh. Great presentation with refried beans. Delish. My wife had the carnitas tacos. You get three for like $15. She reports them being delicious as well. Her's came with rice and beans which were excellent. The portions here are huge. The ingredients are excellent, so they aren't skimping. The food to value ratio is excellent. Great food, lots of it at reasonable prices is win! And the people are all so nice. They even have extra patience when some asks a million questions while butchering pronunciation. LOL. Good peeps. If you want solid Mexican, this is the place. Consistent in all areas. read more

I ordered food to go from Mi Cabana. I had passed by the restaurant many times, but had not stopped to eat there until yesterday. I had the Pollo a La Crema and my wife had the Mi Cabana Chimichanga with steak. We enjoyed the meals except for the wilted lettuce we found among the mixed greens. Experience: Came on a Monday afternoon around 1:00 for a late lunch. I have been here before but my family wanted to try it. Facility: this is a small quaint spot with Mexican decor with red seats. There is booth and regular seating. The booths have high back which allows for nice privacy. Service: the waiters are always super helpful and nice here. The food comes out quick too. Food: I love the salsa here. It's so hard to find a place with a good salsa and I like theirs. We always order the queso dip too. It was a little too thin this time and they fixed it right away. I also always get the carnitas fajitas. I love carnitas and when they put it on the sizzling cast iron, it adds some crunchy "burnt" parts. Not really burnt, but well done and delicious. But there's still plenty of tender juicy parts of the carnitas too. Another downfall is they only give you rice or beans and not both like usual Mexican restaurants. Otherwise the food is top notch. Overall: this is the 3rd time I've come here. It's not too far from where I live and I like the food and service, so we will be back. read more

The food was nothing spectacular the food wasn't even hot when it came to us. The margarita drink was awful I didn't even drink it I told her to take it back. She never took it back and didn't take it off our bill in fact the drink cost more than our meal. The only thing was good was the guacamole dip. Won't be going there again! read more

A new top tier Mexican place is in town called Mi Cabana! Aesthetically pleasing from the second you walk in with colorful decor of the so beloved eccentric vibe of Dia De Los Muertos. The service was an instant disappointment and continued through the beginning of our visit. Getting noticed upon entry was hard, and once we had a seat, we stared at one another and waited for someone, anyone, to collect our drink and appetizer order for more than 15 minutes. Our hunger kept up from leaving. Once we had a server, then we had a second, then a third until finally; the gentleman that would take care of us from then on out. Little communication between the team until we had our orders in. From there we were attended to beautifully and flawlessly! The food was out of this world!! Like. Truly! The chips and queso were fresh and hot! Nothing not to love. Our drinks were cold, frozen, sweet and beautifully presented. Absolutely wonderful drinks. The octopus ceviche was huge! Tons of perfectly cooked octopus (hard to achieve) lots of ripe avocado, raw veggies, fresh orange and that tangy tajin seasoning!! All our entrees were large portions and again, cooked to perfection! The lamb was fall off the bone with a finger licking good sauce, tomato salsa and plump rice. The quesadilla Birria was cheesy and juicy with a fabulously rich consume. The steak and chicken combo was equally perfected. Seasoned tender meats that had just enough spices. We finished with a fried ice cream. The kind with corn flakes that makes we wish you had a bigger stomach so you could order seconds! (We opted out of the Hersey's syrup it typically comes with, as neither of us like the taste of that particular chocolate syrup. We are so glad we asked what was used before we ordered) This place is a gem! We live in a sea of mediocre Mexican restaurants in Brevard county. First time dining here a few nights ago. Very clean with prompt service of chip/salsa and drinks. Salsa was a bit spicy compared to other local restaurants. Fine for me, but my husband prefers something a little milder. The menu had a wide variety of options, but not too much to be overwhelming. There is something for everyone. While browsing Restaurant.com, we came across a great coupon for $25 off a $50 purchase at Mi Cabaña. With a large family group ready to eat after a full day at the beach, our total expected to exceed $250, we thought it would be a perfect fit and a win-win for a local business and a big group of guests. Before heading over, we called to confirm they were honoring the coupon they themselves had listed online. Unfortunately, the response was shockingly unprofessional. When we asked about the coupon, the woman who answered replied: "Yes, but you can keep it. I don't need your $2 that bad." It was an unnecessary and rude remark, especially given we were planning to spend well over $250 and we always tip generously for good service. This kind of attitude is disappointing. Customer service matters, especially when you're representing your business on platforms that bring in new customers. We chose not to dine there after this interaction. I support local restaurants and believe in tipping well for good service. But if you don't enjoy serving people or can't treat every guest with respect, it may be time to reconsider your role. read more

The food was decent. I got the carne asada, the steak and onions were pretty good (8/10), the beans, rice, and a salad were below expectation (3/10). Off the food I would give this place 3.5 stars but the issue was the service. The waiter seemed upset/angry with my party the whole time, borderline rude. Drinks refills and chip refills really did not happen. The place was not the cleanest either but I have seen worse. (2/10) If you go here it will get the job done food wise, but hopefully you'll have a better experience with the service. read more

They had like a 10 year old as the waiter. They were rude. Food was ehh. The guacamole is dark. Apparently they make it in the morning for the whole day. So it isn't fresh when u order it. Wow so excited for a NEW Mexican restaurant in this town! The table side guacamole was perfect!! Some of the best I ever had! Fresh brewed Iced Tea daily which I always appreciate! The food excellent! Tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, and burritos were ordered by my family and no one had a bad meal! Prices were comparable to other restaurants in the area but there are higher charges for extras like sour cream (2$) which I believe is a bit expensive. Overall the atmosphere is clean, well decorated and comfortable. The service is outstanding. Overpriced and terrible I will never go back to this restaurant. The food is great and we have been several times previously but not again. I ordered 3 meals for my family over the phone for a pick up order and was told my total was $64.75. I went in and my total was not $64.75. It was $76 bucks and when I looked on my receipt to find out why they charged 9 bucks per meal for adding mushrooms onions and peppers. We ordered 2 arroz con pollos and requested grilled mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers to be added on top. They charged 9 bucks per meal to add veggies. The meal was only 16 bucks! When I asked about it and told them it is crazy they said that's the price and to pay and get out. The manager was not there and Elizabeth was the lady who basically said, "oh well". We've ordered this exact same meal before and wasn't charged $9 per meal extra. Crazy!!! read more

The restaurant was tucked in an area I wouldn't expect one to be in. Parking lot is a little on the smaller side, but not difficult if you turn in and go behind the Walgreens. The atmosphere inside was cute! It felt like a fun place as soon as you sat down. There seemed to be seating to the left and right, we were seated to the right in a booth near a bar. It does seem like a smaller restaurant but smaller doesn't mean bad! Fun music was playing but not to loud that you can't hear your friend at the table. The service was great, people always checking on you. The menu seemed full with many options. I only removed a star because it seemed for some options they were a little pricey, but I did enjoy the food. The veggies seemed more seasoned than the meat, which I wish was the opposite, but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal as did my boyfriend. While I think locals will keep this restaurant in business, there are better options in the area. Not a fan of the interior decor.. but that could easily be overlooked if there were good food and drinks. Honestly, for the price point- it's not worth it. The food is mid, my husband got carne asada tacos and I got the queso birria quesadilla. While I was surprised my order was pretty good, my husband's tacos were alright, his side of rice was cooked well but had zero flavor and he said the black were also "okay". We ordered two drinks- an OMG margarita which is shareable and comes with two mini bottles of cazadores- and I ordered a margarita with mango flavor on the rocks. This was the mind boggling experience of the night.. as soon as I tasted my margarita, I instantly thought it was a mocktail. I'm not a huge drinker but I love a good margarita so I know what it's supposed to taste like and I am telling you.. that margarita had no alcohol. LOL !!! I let my husband try it and he was like yeah you're not crazy, that tastes like juice. So I asked the waitress if it had alcohol and she said yes and I was like.. are you sure? And she said she'd get me another one.. fast forward, I receive my second margarita and it tastes literally the same. At this point, I'm not going to send another drink back- I don't like doing that. HERE IS THE GAG THOUGH... the manager came around and asked if my margarita was better now and of course I said "yes" because I am not the type to complain at a restaurant.. but then he asked the same exact thing to the lady at the table next to us and she said yes too but her drink was completely full. In other words, everyone who's receiving a margarita can tell it doesn't taste right. Overall, I would give the place a 4 or 5 out of 10. I gave a 2 because the margaritas were not good- I'm very curious as to who is making them and why they don't taste like they have any alcohol in them. We paid $95 dollars for that average dinner. I just had lunch here and it's the 1st time here. Quaint little place with good atmosphere. There were quick, friendly, inviting servers here. I ordered the pollo ranchero (chicken) and was that ever delicious. Everything was cooked absolutely perfect right down to the onions, peppers and mushrooms on top of the chicken. So flavorful and plentiful. Prices were just a touch high but it was worth every penny. If you want a filling, satisfying meal, this is the place to go. I would highly recommend it. The food was good, but I don't want to get charged for additional item, that cost the restaurant very little. I order Fajita's and received 3 tortillas and the smallest dab of gaucamoli for it. I asked for a little more gauc and few torillas since I had more fajita meat left. When received the check, I see I was charged $6.00 for gauc and 2.50 for torillas. That is 8.50 added to my meal. My favorite Mexican restaurant in Brevard County so far. Great vibe from the moment you walk in the door, and the staff is very welcoming and accomodating. I have been three times so far, and most recently I had the Carne Rancheros. Great meal! Steak cooked wonderfully, red sauce was delicious. My family of seven, including 2 infants, stepped out to go eat at Mi Cabana. From the moment we walked in we can tell from the waitress's attitude it was not going to be a pleasant outing. *side note* Place was almost completely empty. They put two tables together to try to seat us and did not want the two children at the ends because it would block the walk way. The waitress then stated you can put the children behind you as you guys eat (which would impede the walkway regardless). We told her we don't want them behind us we want them to sit with us. The waitress then says that's all I can do for you with a snarky tone. We told her okay no problem we will go eat somewhere else. For a place that was so empty we feel they could have Atleast TRIED to accommodate us alittle bit such as Tequila House which is where we went to right after. Tequila house was almost completely full and found a way to make it work. I don't want to he an a**hole and say the waitress's name but she always has the same attitude when we are there and we know multiple people who have had similar interactions with her. We have been looking for a new restaurant. We had lunch there on Labor Day. Very good Margaritas, very good food. I tried a taco, beans and guac salad. The beans are my test dish. They are homemade as are the chips and salsa. My husband had an enormous Chimichanga with beef and much more. He ate the whole thing!
