We tried this place after learning our beloved Taco City is closed now. We ordered our food to-go, and the young man on the phone who took our order was very helpful. However, when we got there (this place is inside a resort lobby area), two young women were at the front of the place and did not greet us at all. I had to ask for my takeout, which I could see was packed up and sitting right in front of us at the front desk. One of them just walked away. The other asked us to wait a moment and left us standing there looking at our takeout. I walked in and looked around and was finally able to wave down the guy who took our order. He was busy waiting on a table. The women had disappeared. As far as quality of food, it was okay. We had cheese enchiladas and also the seafood enchiladas with rice and beans. We also ordered the taco dinner that had 3 beef tacos on it. Those were the best and most flavorful. We were given chips and salsa at no extra charge, so that was a nice surprise. We would eat there again but stick with the tacos in the future. read more

The veggie fajitas were a disappointment only about three peppers and one onion with a bunch of broccoli and cauliflower. The service was a bit lacking but the hostess was great. Plenary of seating inside with t.v.'s and a bar. It is inside of a hotel and they do have parking spots available for the restaurant. Prompt service. Hard to find as it is tucked inside of the resort and once you walk through the doors it's like being in a whole other place aesthetically. The food is good and lots of it. Had a party of seven - we received two baskets of chips with salsa and were charged for additional salsa however the salsa was good and worth the charge. read more

This place is eye candy in a different looking resort. Free parking up front for the restaurant and you walk in and the bar is awesome. Ron is awesome behind the bar. I had the fried pork special dish, with Yucca, beans, white rice, and plantains. I used their special dressing on the fresh avocado, great refreshingly delicious. I feel awful writing a bad review. Truly awful. But like my feelings, this food was truly awful. The seasoning is nearly non-existent. The enchilada was the only thing, other than the plain chips and the lettuce on the plate that had decent flavor. The tamales were a shameful representation of traditional food, dry on the outside and hollow in the middle with some miserable dried pork flakes poking throughout. The tacos come in hard shells, need I say more? Well the filling should be mentioned... if you like dry gray unseasoned ground beef, you're golden. And the chile relleno was not only tiny, but lacking of anything any good chile relleno should have. The cheese was about as thick as my finger nail, and had zero pull to it. The rice tastes like rice mixed with tomato paste. I forgot about the beans, those actually taste fairly good. For the other two meals that were ordered, the chicken fillings were dry and the center of the Colorado chimichanga was still cold, but the plates when they arrived to the table were so hot you physically couldn't touch them with a bare hand, not even as a former waitress. Oh, and if you thought okay I'll just go for apps... sure, but steer clear of the off white, slightly watered down looking milky colored queso dip. Not only does it look questionable, it tastes questionable. Plus the added chorizo for an additional cost was too greasy and deep dark brown. I highly do not recommend. BEWARE! Not a good Mexican restaurant. The "chili con queso" was abysmal. Tasted like watered down white gravy. Absolutely no flavor or spice whatsoever. Everything is overpriced & even after spending almost $200 for 5 meals, NOTHING was worth a penny. Service was awful too. Celebrated Cinco de Mayo at Azteca II during our family vacation. This restaurant is located inside the Cocoa Beach Resort. We were quickly seated and served fresh tortilla chips and delicious homemade salsa for our party of 10. The atmosphere was fun and festive. There was live music and the crowd was lively. The food was good and not overpriced. My only complaint is that service was a bit slow. I would attribute that possibly to staff shortages and a busy kitchen. read more

Recently went here w/ a vegetarian society for a local dining out. We went to Azteca II for a vegan fajitas dining out. Everything was quite alright. Beans, rice, veggies, fajitas, tacos, salad, pico de gallo, & fresh guacamole. Everyone in our group seemed to enjoy the meal. Service was on point. It seems that the regular menu doesn't list too many vegan or vegetarian options per say yet am sure they can be customized veg just as they provided a lovely spread for our group dining out experience. read more

My co-worker and I stopped in for lunch. We go between two destinations and we get lunch. The last place we stopped, I wound up paying $17 for an ok sandwich, and swore I would do it again... We get there, and we are the only ones there at this time. Maybe opened 20 minutes earlier. The bartender, who was cleaning, said take a seat anywhere. The lady came by and took the order. So far so good. I forgot the exact thing I ordered. But it had a chile rellanos, enchilada, taco, and a burrito or something? She came back with drinks, chips and salsa. The chips were the highlight. Felt like they just came from the fryer. The salsa was typical for Brevard County, meh. The taco and burrito were ok. Probably the best thing on the plate, but oh so average. The chile, was dipped in a not sweet pancake batter. Not good, mushy. The enchilada. I didn't finish. Couldn't. Just wasn't good. I am a big guy with an eating disorder and I left food on the table... And lunch? So the plate wound up being like $15. Cocoa Beach is the home for +$15 not so good lunches. Look, the server was nice, the chips were good. You go here if you are staying in the hotel. Maybe the booze would be good? But I know it would cost a ton... Azteca II - Cocoa Beach- .5 Stars "Swill Alert" It was bound to happen sooner than later, though I would have preferred later. After a string of excellent meals in my quest to review all restaurants within the tri-county area, I was going to hit a place that served food that I wouldn't serve to a serial killer on death row. Azteca II, in Cocoa Beach, FL turned out to be that place today. I should have been clued in by the competency, or lack thereof, of the wait staff. My server this day was a nice enough lad named, Cash, however, as nice as he was I have to say that he was either way off his ball game today or exceedingly daft, or perhaps a combination of the two. Either way, he completely messed up my order. I ordered a glass of ice water, a Scotch and their #7 Combo meal, their famed Azteca Supreme which consists of 1 Cheese Chile Relleno, 1 Ground Beef Taco, 1 Tamale, 1 Beef Enchilada and a Tossed Salad with house dressing. He then he asked me if I wanted lemon with my water or my Scotch. I replied with, "No thank you I don't like lemon in my water or my Scotch." When he returned a few moments later with my drinks I noticed there was not only a lemon slice in my water, but also in my Scotch. I know, I should have gotten up and left right then and there, but I was hungry and working, so I decided to stay and at least try their grub. You know the meal is going to suck big time when the best thing about it is the salad dressing. Their dressing was incredibly savory, flavorful and delicious; however, it sat atop a heap of crappy, semi-wilted iceberg lettuce and a pre-shredded "Mexican" cheese mixture of cheddar and Monterey jack (like the one you buy at the supermarket for taco night at home), some canned black olives and a tomato wedge were thrown in for good measure. Again, it was a real shame as that dressing rocked my palate. Still not listening to that inner voice urging me to get up and run fast and far, I turned my attention and my appetite towards my combo plate. The re-fried beans were obviously microwaved on the plate, while at the correct temperature they were topped with the same prefabricated "Mexican cheese" to be found on the aforementioned salad. In fact, this crappy mixture topped everything. The Relleno was spongy, mealy and gross on the palate, the meat in the burrito had turned bad (you could tell as it was mugging the processed "Mexican" rice at gunpoint), the taco shell was also obviously heated in the microwave as it was a bit chewy and filled with bad meat as it was acting as lookout for the burrito, the enchilada was mushy and the sauce was obviously canned as it had the flavor and color that only comes from industrialized food. Glancing over at a table near me, I noticed the guacamole the people were using on their chips. It was also obviously not made on site and came from a food purveyor pre-made. Guess who their food supplier is? If you guessed Sysco after reading what crap it was, give yourself a gold star. If you didn't, you need to read more of my reviews! Authentic TexMex Mexican food with great happy hours and margaritas. I would give 5 stars except for parking. This restaurant is located inside The Resort on Cocoa Beach with a group of parking spots, but they can easily be full making parking a potential challenge. We normally share one ground beef taco plate and three enchiladas plate. Ample food with rice and beans, and fresh warm chips & salsa. read more

The environment is what you'd expect a hotel restaurant to be. Our server was attentive and frequently checked in with us. Our food arrived suspiciously quick and the plates were extremely hot which normally means the microwave was used with cooking our food. I enjoyed my steak dish but unfortunately my partners chicken dish was not satisfactory, since we arrived close to closing time we did not want to bother with requesting a change in dish. My partner later that night had the worse food poisoning he has ever experienced. The only good experience was the service. Will not be returning back. read more

Not sure what these other reviewers are talking about. We were staying at the resort and went here with a friend and we both got sick. I may have had food poisoning because the entire trip my stomach was turning and the pain never completely went away. It was so greasy and absolutely horrible. read more

Food was okay and setting was fun. Salsa was good. But service was lousy. Dinner took an hour to show up and in between the wait staff was nowhere to be found. I had to get up and flag them down several times to get drink refills and find out what was going on with the food. Engaged multiple staff in the process and they kept passing the buck or promising to check and then never showing up again. Lousy. Hidden gem inside The Resort on Cocoa Beach is a typically appointed Mexican bar and grill just off the beach. As we were here twice this week our reception was a bit indifferent but our two servers were very attentive. Typically good margaritas and exceptionally good Mexican food. Would love to come back. I usually try to support the local business where I live, but I need to make an exception. Azteca, Too, at the Resort at Cocoa Beach. I love wet burritos and their Supreme Combo is awesome! One of the best I've ever tasted. My beer was cold as I like it, served in a clean mug. And the service was ok. So what is my problem??? When I got my bill, $31.00 and change...there was $1.50 added to it for my hot sauce! How petty can you get? You get sauce when you order burritos, tacos, enchiladas, and the like, but these cheapskates charge you $1.50 for it! That would be like ordering shrimp fried rice from an Asian restaurant and being charged extra for the shrimp! Or McDonalds or Burger King charging you extra for the ketsup for your fries. One greedy act just cost you the continued business of a neighbor, 1.7 miles away...was it worth it? I tipped my server as I always do, and the booths either side of me, did not, but I let her know that I was deducting the charge of the hot sauce, letting her know that a gratuity is based upon the word, GRATITUDE, which had been decreased according to her actions. It had A LOT of sauce -- overkill. A friend ordered the Enchalada Del Mar and he had the same feedback.
