But I can say that I've been a willing participant in visits since. I hate to admit it, but we really haven't ventured as deep into their offerings as we might since the partner is crazy for their chicken pot pies - which are mighty good by the way. What I can say is that everything we have sampled has been excellent. Portion size is good. Many of their entrees serve two healthy appetites. Our most recent discovery has been their cookies. (I'm not telling which are my favorites.) The woman who runs the booth is really friendly and always makes us feel welcome - even when we can't decide what we want. Perhaps a bit spendy, but the quality well makes up for the cost.

The BLC Chicken Pot Pie is frozen when you get it. That's where the similarity to its predecessors ends. Perfect crust. Moist, tender, incredibly flavorful chicken, white and dark meat. Peas and carrots that actually taste like peas and carrots. All enrobed in a sauce with incredible flavor, texture, and balance. We heated ours in our toaster oven (don't judge!) for about an hour at 325 degrees Fahrenheit, a bit under the 350 BLC recommends. We made sure not to ignore the recommended egg wash, and to cover ours with foil after the top crusts were golden brown, to avoid burning them while the pies came completely up to eating temperature. They were flawless. Feel free to add seasonings -- but taste first. You may find further adornment unnecessary, as we did. We've had and loved the stellar, refined version of this dish at The Big 4 in San Francisco. The Bay Laurel Culinary team has brought that level of quality and flavor to a chicken pot pie you can enjoy at home in your lounging regalia of choice. Life rarely if ever gets better. Enjoy.

Our goals were to keep the costs low, while still having delicious and 100% gluten free food. Munther's quote was lower than any other caterer we talked to, but his food was incredible! We went to our tasting in February 2020 and planned to have a June 2020 wedding. We were surprised how delicious the food was at the tasting and happy we had selected Munther and his team. With the pandemic, we didn't end up getting to celebrate until March 2022 - in that time we forgot what the food tasted like, but sure enough it didn't disappoint! Munther's paella was impressive and delicious and the wedding entrees: salmon, steak, and veggie risotto were all incredible. The presentation of the food is nice, the choice of the food is generally safe. However there are a few things they can work on. I feel like the food tastes a bit worse than some of our other catering companies we use. Due to two specific problems, taste/type of food, and selection of food. The last 2 times we've had Scrumptious Catering do our lunches they've made white meat chicken dishes, white chicken dries out really easily. So by the time we eat it, its all dry and the texture turns powdery. I'd venture to say that having such thick cuts of white meat do bad things for the taste of the food. It just doesn't taste good no matter how well season it, such thick cuts of meat should be served with generous amounts of gravy, dipping sauce or hot sauce. This would not be such a problem if Scrumptious Catering provided more variety in the form of another entree and another choice of salad. Our other catering companies provide alternatives, 2 entrees, 2 types of salad, if one is bad I can get the second one. Additionally, today they brought in 30 bittersweet chocolate pastries. Our company campus has 300+ on-site employees, even if only 50 showed up for lunch, there were many people unhappy they did not get one of these pastries. These guys need to raise their game, and by a lot. It's hard to complain about free lunch, but even our other catering company which I rate fair (3 stars) outperforms Scrumptious Catering in food quantity, taste, and selection. ---- 3-28-08 I must raise Scrumptious Occasions Catering score 1 star for providing a fabulous fried chicken lunch about a month ago. ----- 5-30-08 I must deduct a star from Scrumptious once again, for probably the worst catered lunch I've ever had. This was a phenomenal disappointment, there appeared to be absolutely no flavor to this dish, in the rice or in the chicken. When eating a chicken curry dish, one expects strong flavors and interesting spicy tastes. I felt like I was eating food flavored with yellow #5 food coloring rather than curry. Where did all the spices and flavoring go? I mean the chicken and rice looked yellowish, it looked like there were chopped onions in the rice.. Why was it so tasteless? I am so upset right now, that I'm going to get taco bell.

This kindness will always stay with me. Later that night, I found Laurel had cleaned up our messy suite and decorated it with flower petals, balloons and battery-operated candles! The next day, we were treated to extra special meals and my new husband's favorites for his birthday: Hopple Popple with Laurel's Catering's Secret Sauce, home-made pizzas, with even a special salmon one for me, and of course my husband's favorite chocolate cake, decorated for his birthday! I told Samantha about what we liked/disliked, and she came up with a fantastic menu along with a wine pairing for each course. Correspondence was prompt, and (for an over-planner like me) it felt like she had everything under control and I had nothing to worry about. I was right :) It was so nice to return to our vacation home after a day visiting wineries to meet her getting all set up in the kitchen. She made all my guests feel welcome, and we enjoyed some time on the back patio where she brought us a beautiful charcuterie board and wine. My husband and guests were so excited that we could just sit back and relax! No reservations to rush off to, or meal to cook ourselves... Truly a great way to end the day. We then moved inside to the dining room for the remainder of dinner. The table had been set beautifully, and each course was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed hearing Samantha present each one - you can tell she is passionate about each dish. They were perfectly plated, impeccably timed, and SO yummy! Our group was definitely having a great time (how can you NOT when good food and wine is involved?!), and Samantha and her assistant were so easy to get along with. They felt like friends by the end of the night. While it was a very luxurious dinner, it was also SO relaxing to be comfortable in our own space. Our friends continue (nearly a month later) to talk about how fun the night was and how much they loved the food. I still cannot decide if the bacon-wrapped pork was my favorite, or the chocolate tarte for dessert! I cannot recommend Samantha enough, and I hope to be back in the area to have an excuse to hire her again sometime soon.

They come equipped with a full kitchen and all the "fixins" for a perfect taco buffet. They showed up early, and stayed late. Came prepared and ready for a large group of 60+ people and did not waiver or disapprove Although we gave them a head count they seemed to be ready for any size party. Large or small. From baptism's to bachelor parties they adapt well to any event. They serve Tacos, quesadillas, tortas quesbirria, and more. Meat options were asada, pollo, Al pastor, carnitas etc. They had rice, beans, all the condiments and they they even offer bacon wrapped hotdogs & sweets! Very flexible and able to customize the menu! Overall just fantastic experience with excellent and attentive service!
