We started with an egg soufflé - perfectly cooked and full of flavor! Then onto delicious, freshly made pasta in a butter and sage sauce. We next had beef with polenta. And finally we had a nut cake with homemade ice cream. Oh, and we can't forget the bread and charcuterie. This was beyond delicious. And the focaccia was our favorite. The chef was so friendly, personable, and awesome! This was a wonderful experience and the highlight of our trip!!

He and his assistant Christine were extremely professional, the food was absolutely delicious, the presentation was delightful and everything went according to plan. Me and my entire party would recommend Chef Andrea without hesitation and are already talking about doing this again. We started by being surprised and delighted with warm fresh baked breads paired with yummy homemade salami. Then we moved to our first course of mixed organic greens with goat cheese mousse, pears and walnuts with a delicious Italian balsamic vinegar. Chef came out and showed us our 2nd course of his fresh handmade agnolotti dal plin (pasta pockets stuffed with pork, beef and veggies in a sage brown butter sauce) before cooking it and, once cooked, grated fresh cheese over it. Our third course was boneless organic chicken stuffed with porcini mushrooms wrapped in pancetta with perfectly cooked carrots and green beans and roasted potatoes. Dessert was a delicious chocolate Italian custard with amaretti biscuits paired with homemade strawberry mint sorbet. Every course was described to us by Chef with tidbits of information about Italy, which was very informative. The service was Michelin star quality, all women were served first and the food was fresh and piping hot. It was clear that Chef is very passionate about his food and the stories behind it. And, my kitchen was even cleaner when they left than it was when they arrived and we didn't have to lift a finger. What an amazing experience!

It truly was an experience that far exceeded expectations; my taste buds are still writing thank-you notes. Every dish was seasoned to perfection--balanced, flavorful, and layered in a way that felt both comforting and elevated. On top of the food magic, Stacy was an absolute dream to work with. Easygoing, communicative, and so accommodating it almost felt like we were the picky celebrities and they were the calm professional nodding with, "of course, no problem." Timing tweaks, menu adjustments, special requests--you name it, they handled it with grace. I didn't make it easy on them - I brought in comics, Magians, and violinists to elevate (and challenge) every dinner. What impressed me most was their flexibility and accommodation--whether it was adjusting timing, tailoring the menu, or honoring special requests, nothing ever felt like a burden. Instead, they made the whole process feel seamless and enjoyable. The result was experiences that were not only exquisite, but evenings where we could relax and savor every moment. If you're looking for a private chef who brings both talent and ease to the table, look no further, Stacy and Davis are the real deal.

I reached out to book a farm cooking experience for a bachelorette weekend. From the start, there…read morewere red flags -- she missed our confirmed initial call entirely, and rather than reaching out to me, I had to call her myself. When she picked up, she explained she had just returned from a workout. During that call, I clearly communicated that our group would be staying at a hotel and would need an on-site venue -- not an option, a requirement. Despite this, I had to reiterate it again in a later email, suggesting she wasn't tracking the basic details of our event. Camille is really personable and kind-- I just felt like there was a lack of professionalism. After multiple email exchanges and weeks of back and forth, she sent a pricing breakdown on June 19th acknowledging she still needed to confirm farm availability -- while simultaneously letting me know I needed to sign a contract and submit a deposit by June 26th. I had already shared the experience with my group and gotten everyone excited. On June 24th, today, she informed me the farm had been booked and was unavailable. I want to address that respectfully. I confirmed the date and guest count with her over the phone during our very first call June 1st-- and reiterated both again in writing on June 19th. At that point, she had everything she needed to check availability. The farm wasn't contacted until June 23rd. I understand that securing a third-party venue has its challenges, and I have no doubt she works hard. But had the farm been contacted when she first had the date and headcount, we would have known much sooner and I wouldn't have shared the experience with my group prematurely. I wish her all the best and hope this feedback is helpful going forward.

But I can say that I've been a willing participant in visits since. I hate to admit it, but we really haven't ventured as deep into their offerings as we might since the partner is crazy for their chicken pot pies - which are mighty good by the way. What I can say is that everything we have sampled has been excellent. Portion size is good. Many of their entrees serve two healthy appetites. Our most recent discovery has been their cookies. (I'm not telling which are my favorites.) The woman who runs the booth is really friendly and always makes us feel welcome - even when we can't decide what we want. Perhaps a bit spendy, but the quality well makes up for the cost.

The BLC Chicken Pot Pie is frozen when you get it. That's where the similarity to its predecessors ends. Perfect crust. Moist, tender, incredibly flavorful chicken, white and dark meat. Peas and carrots that actually taste like peas and carrots. All enrobed in a sauce with incredible flavor, texture, and balance. We heated ours in our toaster oven (don't judge!) for about an hour at 325 degrees Fahrenheit, a bit under the 350 BLC recommends. We made sure not to ignore the recommended egg wash, and to cover ours with foil after the top crusts were golden brown, to avoid burning them while the pies came completely up to eating temperature. They were flawless. Feel free to add seasonings -- but taste first. You may find further adornment unnecessary, as we did. We've had and loved the stellar, refined version of this dish at The Big 4 in San Francisco. The Bay Laurel Culinary team has brought that level of quality and flavor to a chicken pot pie you can enjoy at home in your lounging regalia of choice. Life rarely if ever gets better. Enjoy.
