Authentic Greek food. Came in with my wife and 2 small children while on vacation and found this great spot. It was nice that the kids, my my wife and myself enjoyed the food. We had chicken soup, Saganaki, the octopus appetizer and chicken gyro platter. My wife an i loved the octopus. We all loved the Chicken platter. Everything was fresh and tasty. They also have a Greek beer- Mykos- which i never tried before and was pleasantly surprised. The service was good even as they got busy. The decor looked new and fresh. My first time in Boca, Fetta Republic was strongly recommended by my Greek friends in New York. I would have never thought a place in Boca could compare to the amazing Greek food I've had in Queens, but I was surprisingly blown away! The owners labored over the space for months and months to execute every detail of the space and food to perfection. They have a lot of a specialty dishes, a few of my favorites were the Saganaki, Greek salad and home made soup. Wash it all down with their amazing selection of wine! I'm not sure if the surly service is supposed to be part of the Greek "charm" but it definitely detracted from the meal. While the food was OK, the condescending attitude and unresponsiveness of the owner (which borders on bullying) made for a less than pleasant experience. Judging from some of the other reviews, perhaps he should stay in the back and let others with customer service skills interact with customers. read more

My wife and I enjoy Greek food and have been to many Greek Restaurants in Ft. Lauderdale and Boca. Last night we had dinner with 4 other couples and 8 kids. The beef souvlaki platter looked amazing but they ran out of it. Another friend had the beef gyro and said it was a little dry. The platters were huge with a side Greek salad that was probably the best I ever had, huge pieces of pork cooked perfectly. I would have gotten the beef souvlaki if they hadn't run out. Everyone at the table raved about how good everything tasted, one of the guys having dinner with us has been in the restaurant business for over 30 years and he loved the food. The overall atmosphere is really impressive, beautiful stainless steel new ovens, great flooring and countertops. I would recommend the owner hire a couple waitresses because he was running around serving and really couldn't keep up with all his guests. He gave our table a large plate of baklava at the end of the night and truthfully I have never tasted baklava like it before, it was unbelievably good. On a recent visit to FL - I came here with a friend who was excited see this place open up. I have to say that the food was absolutely delicious. I've been really excited to try this place because the food looked great but honestly it was nothing special. I ordered the republic chips based on good reviews and the description. They were anything but crispy. They were mushy, what little breading there was wouldn't stay on and they were not fried correctly (and this wasn't delivery, I tried them right away). Like when you put something in oil but the oil isn't hot enough so you end up with an oil-logged mushy mess. Yeah. Gross. I also ordered the chicken souvlaki. The chicken dish was decent and flavorful but I don't feel the need to return. read more

Beware to all : make sure you eat your food very slowly and carefully because there are olive pits in their food. I broke a tooth at lunch and now have to have some major dental work done. I will not go there ever again and when I went back in, they laughed and said they would not give me any compensation towards my dental bills. I wasn't asking for them to pay the entire bill, just something towards it to help me out. They refused and pretty much said it's my problem. The food was okay. But the food wasn't the issue. We ordered delivery via grubhub and wow, easily the rudest delivery person I've ever had. Since I know our apartment is hard to find in the complex I came outside to wait for him. I saw him pull up so I waved and started to walk over when he got out of the car. He saw me and then turned around and walked the other direction. I tried to follow but I couldn't find him. As I was heading back to where he parked, I got a call from my girlfriend saying that the driver was at the door yelling at her. I ran back up to the apartment to find him yelling that she didn't have his money ready for him. I gave him the money, which admitedly was accidentally a dollar short, to which his response was to come into the apartment (dragging mud in) and shake the receipt in my face asking me, and I quote, "can't you read?!". I don't know who decided that this man (older guy) should be interacting with customers but I know I'll never order from this restaurant again. read more

The atmosphere is fantastic! Contemporary yet comfortable! Really nice colors and decor! Great items like the baby roasted eggplant with pita as an appetizer. Their lamb gyros are fantastic and very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. Overall I'm very pleased and they have plenty of authentic Greek foods that make me want to come back just to try them! You need to come here it's a great lunch/dinner spot yet I like it for lunch more!!! read more

Don't waste your time. Food is good, but customer service is horrible. My husband and I both had the same snotty server, twice. The owner is there, but not engaged. When will restaurants understand that there is so much more than just the food. I won't be back which is too bad, as it would be great to have a good local Greek restaurant. read more

This is probably the best casual Greek restaurant in all of South Florida. Food is high quality(even the olive oil they use is the best Greece produces which they proudly have on display). Everything is freshly made by their chef including their deserts. Open kitchen concept and super clean. Service was great as well. To top it off there is always DJ entertainment. Finally an awesome Greek joint! We were so bummed when Greek Gyro Express closed its doors. After honeymooning in Greece, we spent a year and a half trying to find a Greek restaurant and a gyro that tasted as good as the food we had overseas. And the Feta Republic did not disappoint! We had the republic chips (fried zucchini with tzatziki) and a couple of gyros. The tzatziki tasted like it was just made with big chunks of cucumber, the gyro meat was the perfect fact consistency and not too salty. Incredibly fresh and delicious! Was here on a Saturday night, and tried the roasted eggplant dip to start, along with the gyro platter. My friend had the grilled shrimp and orzo entree. We both loved everything - The tzatziki was some of the best I've ever had! Also recommend the baklava for dessert. Service was really nice, attentive, and friendly. Very disappointing. Excited to try a new Greek place after liking Ethos and Raffina. From the blah lady on the phone who didn't ask for my name (and therefore later didn't know my order) to the fact that they screwed up my dip order (gave me Hummus instead of Taramasalata- which I was SO looking forward to- I can get bloody hummus in Publix). Everything tastes pretty much the same, lots of oil, feta, parsley regardless of dish. I don't think I've ever had bad falafel but this was dry af. Barely edible. The only redeemable dish was the octopus (of which the two aforementioned restaurants do better) and the shrimp appetizer which was well cooked. Won't be back! read more

It was ok. I ordered a gyro pita with fries. I asked for the sauce on the side. The sauce was on my gyro and informed the hostess (who honestly kept disappearing and wasn't to friendly). If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I'm sure that the people that gave it more than that are the owners and their friends. I have never had such bad experience in a Greek restaurant. The cheese saganaki (if you can call it that) was very tiny and super crunchy, and food was overall nothing but disappointing and overpriced for what we got. Icing on the cake was that I got sick from eating there. To the owners, please watch what food you serve your customers!!! I would be shocked if this place remains open. Who serves saganaki with no pita and a shrimp and sauce dish with 3 shrimp and no rice pilaf...15 bucks for a small octopus tentacle ....gave the place 2 stars because the Gyro meat was excellent and tatziki fresh , but alas no lettuce,tomato or onion.
