Chris stayed on the phone with me for 2 hours (I am not local) and was able to guide me through set-up, care for my system, and even noticed that the red cap from the needle broke off and needed to be removed (pictured). Horrendous experience from start to finish…read more Like many customers, I had to drive nearly two hours roundtrip just to get to this shop. Initially, everything seemed promising. The email communication with Jasmine was friendly, prompt, and professional, at first. I dropped off my Bang & Olufsen Beosound 9000 in September 2025 for repair after it had been sitting unused for some time. A few weeks later, I received a call and text informing me that the repair was complete and ready for pickup. When I arrived, I naturally wanted to verify that everything was working before taking it home. To my surprise, absolutely nothing had been repaired. The gentlemen working that day apologized and explained that the technician had apparently never actually worked on my unit. The only thing that seemed to have been done was cleaning the glass door. That meant another two-hour roundtrip completely wasted. I immediately contacted Jasmine to express my frustration and request some form of compensation for the inconvenience. What stood out throughout this entire experience was the complete lack of ownership or genuine apology from her. Instead, I was simply offered a discount of a little over $100 on the repair or free return shipping once the repair was eventually completed. Fine. Mistakes happen. I agreed, provided the repair would actually be completed. Fast forward to May 2026--eight months later. No updates. No status reports. No proactive communication. Nothing. At that point, I informed her that I simply wanted my unit returned. Again, there was no apology. Jasmine responded that the technician was on vacation and asked for one more week to complete the repair. After waiting eight months, that was unacceptable. Bang & Olufsen repairs are not inexpensive by any standard, and customers paying premium prices should expect professionalism, communication, and accountability. Unfortunately, my experience reflected none of those qualities. If your repair goes smoothly, consider yourself fortunate. However, before entrusting this shop with your equipment, I strongly encourage you to read the negative reviews carefully. My experience was remarkably similar to many of the concerns raised by other customers, and I wish I had paid closer attention beforehand.

Brought it back and all 8 backlights are renewed and itll hopefully get many more years. He helped me get it back up and running too. At first things didnt seem to be working, but after tinkering with it i found the issue and i factory reset the tv and that seemed to do the trick. It seems the tv was very cranky from being worked on and having its guts removed it needed a full reset. I wanted to wait a day or so before writing my review just incase something happened. He responded that he wouldn't want to touch it because I opened the TV and he didn't want to be responsible as there may be something else wrong. NONSENSE! That's bunk, there is nothing else wrong with the TV and I only opened the light bulb compartment, it's actually made for the consumer to open and replace the bulb, it's one screw and a slide in compartment. NOTHING could have been touched and/or broken, by opening that. And either way, the bulb compartment has absolutely zero effect upon the DLP chip/mother board, they are separate components. My guess, based upon some friends in Chicago who do TV repair, is that this shop is one which wants to hit you with a huge mark-up on the part and then diagnose something else wrong so they can make more money. Kinda like how tire shops won't install tires you bought somewhere else, they want that mark-up & over-charge. Why else would someone not want to take my money for an easy 1-2-3 job to install a part, they could be in and out in a heartbeat and not have to go through the pain of ordering the part, and be onto the next job. Ridiculous, I won't be recommending anyone to use Val's (dare I call it) "service". Sorry, but whomever it was on the phone that I spoke to, I call BULLS**T on you. EDIT: OK OK, look, maybe I jumped the gun, I was informed that there are people who dig into their TVs and f--k them up, then call TV repairmen then blame the technician for the damage they did. Yeah, I get it, and I feel for TV guys in that scenario. However, I told him what I had opened and he immediately flipped the switch to off. he didn't ask for clarification and I grant him that he doesn't know me from the next joe... plus how many of those scumbags can there possibly be? Regardless, I don't want to do business with someone who is scarred from bad customers, just like I don't want to date a woman who is scarred from other guys & holds me responsible--because those bad people are everywhere, we can't avoid them, we have to do our business as though it's a business.
