When I went back to the property 3 days later I found out the electric had been shut off! Which in turn shut off our boilers for heat, and it was 40* in the house! When I called the electric company to get it turned back on the told me Twin City hadn't had their work inspected from the town so we could not get it turned back on. I called the owner Mike Friday and Saturday with NO response, finally on Sunday when I left and irate voicemail he called back and came to the house and said it was an oversight by his office... instead of appropriately fixing the problem, he ILLEGALLY cut off the lock out tag from National Grid, and asked us to keep it quiet. We had over $5500.00 in damages that our insurance claim denied because the service had been turned off due to the negligence of Mike Murphy and his company. While we were doing repairs and working with our insurance, Mr Murphy claimed it was his error, asked our deductible so he could cover it and said if insurance denied our claim he would work it out with us. Once we let him rectify the illegal work he did and get the town inspection, we never heard from him again. Our attorney sent him a letter with the charges and he is now claiming WE were responsible for the inspection! I understand it was an oversight not to get the inspection done, but it was his responsibility and that caused major damage at our property! He is untruthful, unethical, and we will be moving forward with a lawsuit. I hope his conscious will kick in and he will rectify the situation!

I called Chuck at about 7:45 in the morning on Sunday, and he said he would come out and jump the meter so I had power, and he would refer me to somebody else to replace the panel as he was not licensed in the city. I can't say enough about New Era Heating and Cooling! This past Friday, I came home from work to…read morefind the thermostat reading 61 degrees and the weather prediction calling for record freezing temperatures all weekend. My husband reached out to New Era and reported the problem - it was after 5:00 pm and the woman he spoke to took his number and said she'd get back to him. We had little faith that we'd hear anything back, but were surprised to receive a call back within the half hour with the news that John would be over within the next 20 minutes. John was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond. Our furnace was beyond repair (It was 20+ years old), but he somehow got it to partially operate to get us through the weekend. He also assisted in getting our fireplace going so that we would have adequate heat. We made arrangements to purchase a new furnace (at a price that was considerably lower than what we had been quoted by T-Mark a few months earlier) and promised that he would be back first thing Monday morning. He wouldn't accept payment for the service call that night. On Sunday evening we received a phone call from Bev who was calling to check on us, and to confirm that John would be over at 9:00 am on Monday. We had about a foot of snow that fell overnight and my husband and boys were out shoveling at about 8:00 am when John arrived. Rather than leave and come back an hour later, or sit in his warm truck, he asked if they had an extra shovel and helped them clear the driveway! John got quickly to work removing our old furnace and installing the new one - he also replaced the humidifier filter and made sure that everything was operating correctly. While i pray that we won't have another heating issue anytime soon, I intend to contact New Era again in the spring to replace our AC unit.
