When I went back to the property 3 days later I found out the electric had been shut off! Which in turn shut off our boilers for heat, and it was 40* in the house! When I called the electric company to get it turned back on the told me Twin City hadn't had their work inspected from the town so we could not get it turned back on. I called the owner Mike Friday and Saturday with NO response, finally on Sunday when I left and irate voicemail he called back and came to the house and said it was an oversight by his office... instead of appropriately fixing the problem, he ILLEGALLY cut off the lock out tag from National Grid, and asked us to keep it quiet. We had over $5500.00 in damages that our insurance claim denied because the service had been turned off due to the negligence of Mike Murphy and his company. While we were doing repairs and working with our insurance, Mr Murphy claimed it was his error, asked our deductible so he could cover it and said if insurance denied our claim he would work it out with us. Once we let him rectify the illegal work he did and get the town inspection, we never heard from him again. Our attorney sent him a letter with the charges and he is now claiming WE were responsible for the inspection! I understand it was an oversight not to get the inspection done, but it was his responsibility and that caused major damage at our property! He is untruthful, unethical, and we will be moving forward with a lawsuit. I hope his conscious will kick in and he will rectify the situation!

For a recent project I had called ten different companies, four called me back, three gave me quotes, one quote was insanely expensive for a simple job. The other was very cheap, yet day by day, "oh, we got busy see you tomorrow." Ummmmm. No. I work. Twin City gave me an estimate, when they said they would. Cost was more than reasonable and the crew came on time and was more than personable. Great owner and company.

He punched numerous holes in the wall, more than was necessary, that had I had to pay to have repaired. I would not recommend him for any major wiring jobs, He needs more training and experience, in my opinion.

He made a couple calls and got back to me even when he realized an electrician was not my solution. Told me how he could help, but also informed me of the things that could make his efforts wasted. Something I know, from experience, that others count on for repeat business. A customer service quality/value I haven't experienced in too long. Can't PAY, for that! When I need an electrician, I WILL call Mark. No idea what he charges!

Bought them lunch. They didn't finish that day because of a bunch of reasons he told me (over sharers are normally lying). He is a squirrelly guy, lacks eye contact. So he tells me he needs more money to finish the job because it was more than he thought. When they come back the following day, I asked him to show me what was more than he thought. He freaks out storms out the house leaving some of his tools lol. Later texts me threats that I should be careful. I still have his tools they work great. Thanks Eric. You going to threaten the wrong guy and they going to go on the offensive one of these days. The next electrician, I hired new Eric, and he said that he used to bully people at another company he worked at and then he was a hot head. Had a sewer line failure in 2023. I wanted to compare quotes but Kevin's said they couldn't come…read moreback for 2 months in that case. No working sewer so I needed it fixed. Kevin's dug it up and 'repaired' it for a lot of money. Now 2 years later it needs to be dug up again. Saw picture of pipe now. They installed the trap backwards and part they 'fixed' is disconnected from the house causing backup again. Called and they didn't call back. Found another company, T-Mark, who will warrant work for 10 years, will pull permits, and have work inspected by town at 2/3 the 'Kevin's' price which included none of that. I'm a fool parted with his money for using Kevin's. 11/18/25 - contacted Kevin's per his response. He says he does warranty his work and is coming out to inspect the issue. If his work is the cause, he says he'll fix it at no charge. He noted they're doing some office reorganizing and apologized for earlier call to them being dropped. 12/1/2025 - updating review to 5 stars. Kevin came out, inspected the area, pointed out on camera how the problem was in a different area than the one he had worked on (I could see on the camera he was correct), but he still agreed to resolve issue at his cost which was about half of the T-Mark quote. They just wrapped up the work and inspection. His warranty on the quote states: "Kevin's Plumbing provides a 10 year warranty on the pipe that we install. The warranty is transferable through the change of ownership of a home and only the remaining portion of the warranty period transfers-the warranty period does not reset in any way upon transfer, and the warranty period begins at the date of work completion and only when paid in full. This warranty may be transferred to future homeowners provided Kevin's Plumbing is notified within 30days of the real estate transfer. There are no other warranties, either expressed or implied, beyond this agreement."
