Only concern that I had was that when I called him about some details to get to my property on the day he was coming over, his phone mailbox was full and I could not leave a message. But he saw that I called, and called back 5 minutes later. A great experience. Would use him again.

I told him just let me know a number it's not that serious. He finally got back to me and his girlfriend's son showed up with him with a massive confederate flag belt buckle I thought it was odd. Bought them lunch. They didn't finish that day because of a bunch of reasons he told me (over sharers are normally lying). He is a squirrelly guy, lacks eye contact. So he tells me he needs more money to finish the job because it was more than he thought. When they come back the following day, I asked him to show me what was more than he thought. He freaks out storms out the house leaving some of his tools lol. Later texts me threats that I should be careful. I still have his tools they work great. Thanks Eric. You going to threaten the wrong guy and they going to go on the offensive one of these days. The next electrician, I hired new Eric, and he said that he used to bully people at another company he worked at and then he was a hot head. Take a deep breath, thanks for the tools still work great!

Getting a electrician to come to come to your house, on-time, with reasonable cost and have the job…read moredone quickly is amazing. For a recent project I had called ten different companies, four called me back, three gave me quotes, one quote was insanely expensive for a simple job. The other was very cheap, yet day by day, "oh, we got busy see you tomorrow." Ummmmm. No. I work. Twin City gave me an estimate, when they said they would. Cost was more than reasonable and the crew came on time and was more than personable. Great owner and company.

The original price was $1000.00 more than any other estimate... when I pushed back on Mr Murphy…read moreabout this because I felt as though he was trying to take advantage of me, and explained the buyer of my property really wanted him because she found him here on Angie's list, he came down the 1000.00 immediately, like he had overcharged to begin with The work was completed and three weeks later my tenant moved out so I could close on the property, the utilities were to be left on as it was the winter, I inspected the property and all was fine. When I went back to the property 3 days later I found out the electric had been shut off! Which in turn shut off our boilers for heat, and it was 40* in the house! When I called the electric company to get it turned back on the told me Twin City hadn't had their work inspected from the town so we could not get it turned back on. I called the owner Mike Friday and Saturday with NO response, finally on Sunday when I left and irate voicemail he called back and came to the house and said it was an oversight by his office... instead of appropriately fixing the problem, he ILLEGALLY cut off the lock out tag from National Grid, and asked us to keep it quiet. We had over $5500.00 in damages that our insurance claim denied because the service had been turned off due to the negligence of Mike Murphy and his company. While we were doing repairs and working with our insurance, Mr Murphy claimed it was his error, asked our deductible so he could cover it and said if insurance denied our claim he would work it out with us. Once we let him rectify the illegal work he did and get the town inspection, we never heard from him again. Our attorney sent him a letter with the charges and he is now claiming WE were responsible for the inspection! I understand it was an oversight not to get the inspection done, but it was his responsibility and that caused major damage at our property! He is untruthful, unethical, and we will be moving forward with a lawsuit. I hope his conscious will kick in and he will rectify the situation!

My electrical panel burned out on Saturday afternoon, when the Buffalo Bills were playing a home…read morepreseason game. Fire department came, National Grid came and took the meter. I dialed about 20 electricians, and very few answered the phone, or returned a call. One large company told me that they don't do emergency calls on weekends! Really?? After going without power for one night, I started dialing the next morning. One kind electrician, told me he was working a job, but he told me to use his name and to speak to either Lori, or Rusty at Sub City electric. I left them a voicemail, and continued my quest to find an electrician. As I was on the phone with the next one, I saw a text from Lori telling me she had already sent over one of her technicians, Nick, to jump the meter so I could have power. I went out to my car to charge my phone. I was sitting in there for a few minutes when a truck pulled up and I met Nick. What a nice guy. He got everything working again in less than 20 minutes. He told me they would give me an estimate, I reached out to Lori to thank her, and on Monday I got to meet Rusty, Lori's father, who was very nice. I had an idea about how much it would cost to upgrade the service to 200 amps, and Sub City Electrical fell right into the price quote range. I shook Rustys hand, and hired him on the spot. This is a family business, so by 8 AM the next morning, two young guys were at the side door, ready to go to work. I believe that one of them was a stepson. They did an unbelievable job, and they were thorough. They also cleaned up when they left. They moved the panel about 6 feet to the left of where it was in my 106 year old basement. I saw them dig up part of the earth near my back deck to bury a grounding line. They got up on high ladders, and replaced and upgraded the entire service. I believe they were here for over 10 hours, and would not leave until everything was done and cleaned. I'm telling everyone: if you have an electrical problem, or some work that needs to get done, call Sub-City. Their service was phenomenal. They were responsive, and they do quality work. Not inexpensive, but trustworthy people. PS: I am still waiting on National Grid to come out and reinstall the meter! I need to call Lori.
