Hello . . . . On Monday, July 14, 2025 I was informed to call the Randy, the head electrician, to schedule a visit to discuss what I was looking to accomplish. I called the number given and the call was received by a recording, informing me that I would be called back. Monday - no returned call. Tuesday - no returned call Wednesday - sent a message to the office with information with regard to the unreturned call to Randy. Also informed the office that a return call at this point was not necessary. A business that does not return calls or does not follow-up is one that either has too much business or one that does not hold their customers in high regard. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice . . ." Yes, mistakes happen, things get busy, people forget. In business, this happened to me several times early in my career. I also learned, early in my career, how to avoid those issues from repeating. Melton Electric claims to have been in business over 20 years. Either they have never had a situation like this before or they did not care to put in safeguards to prevent these issues from happening. If it is the earlier - congratulations. If it is the latter . . . Being in business for 20 years I'm sure they have satisfied customers and I'm sure that they do quality work as electrical inspectors are getting rather fussy - rightfully so. But I have, as evidenced by this review, very little tolerance for poor customer service. It is my hope that future customers will be treated with respect. A circuit breaker on the panel at our house kept tripping. I contacted Melton electric through Yelp and requested an appointment. I received a call within about an hour. I was thrilled that they were able to schedule an electrician to come to my house the same day. That level of service by an electrician is amazing. The electrician, Mike, and an apprentice did a great job of tracking down a short in our wiring and repairing it. It took them about 1.5 hours. The person at the office who contacted me also did a great job of explaining their pricing. The hourly rate was fair and reasonable. I will call them again with any electrical problems. read more

After going back and forth couple of messages they just decide to stop to reply back. We had scheduled an appointment and the my told me they can't have access to the unit without someone being present which is understandable. I went ahead and I found a person who was going to be there to let them in and from there I never heard back from them. I tried to reach out to them multiple times without any response. I have now contacted the inspector that I have paid for and the job failed inspection. I have tried to contact the owner, Randy Melton, and he will not return my calls. All I want is for him to fix the problem that failed. I have no other choice now, since he won't return calls, is to file a lawsuit against him. Again my advice is to find another contractor because this one is NOT dependable. read more
