Came in, gave it 2 looks, said he had to go back and get some supplies, and came back and banged it out - whole thing took maybe an hour. I didn't really care too much about cost at that point because my son was home from the hospital so the nursery was out of commission for the first day he was home but it was super reasonable to get fixed. Like to the point where i should have just called them to hang it originally. Plus there's some peace of mind from having a pro do it. Will definitely call MJM if I need electrical work in the future.

When I went back to the property 3 days later I found out the electric had been shut off! Which in turn shut off our boilers for heat, and it was 40* in the house! When I called the electric company to get it turned back on the told me Twin City hadn't had their work inspected from the town so we could not get it turned back on. I called the owner Mike Friday and Saturday with NO response, finally on Sunday when I left and irate voicemail he called back and came to the house and said it was an oversight by his office... instead of appropriately fixing the problem, he ILLEGALLY cut off the lock out tag from National Grid, and asked us to keep it quiet. We had over $5500.00 in damages that our insurance claim denied because the service had been turned off due to the negligence of Mike Murphy and his company. While we were doing repairs and working with our insurance, Mr Murphy claimed it was his error, asked our deductible so he could cover it and said if insurance denied our claim he would work it out with us. Once we let him rectify the illegal work he did and get the town inspection, we never heard from him again. Our attorney sent him a letter with the charges and he is now claiming WE were responsible for the inspection! I understand it was an oversight not to get the inspection done, but it was his responsibility and that caused major damage at our property! He is untruthful, unethical, and we will be moving forward with a lawsuit. I hope his conscious will kick in and he will rectify the situation!

I dialed about 20 electricians, and very few answered the phone, or returned a call. One large company told me that they don't do emergency calls on weekends! Really?? After going without power for one night, I started dialing the next morning. One kind electrician, told me he was working a job, but he told me to use his name and to speak to either Lori, or Rusty at Sub City electric. I left them a voicemail, and continued my quest to find an electrician. As I was on the phone with the next one, I saw a text from Lori telling me she had already sent over one of her technicians, Nick, to jump the meter so I could have power. I went out to my car to charge my phone. I was sitting in there for a few minutes when a truck pulled up and I met Nick. What a nice guy. He got everything working again in less than 20 minutes. He told me they would give me an estimate, I reached out to Lori to thank her, and on Monday I got to meet Rusty, Lori's father, who was very nice. I had an idea about how much it would cost to upgrade the service to 200 amps, and Sub City Electrical fell right into the price quote range. I shook Rustys hand, and hired him on the spot. This is a family business, so by 8 AM the next morning, two young guys were at the side door, ready to go to work. I believe that one of them was a stepson. They did an unbelievable job, and they were thorough. They also cleaned up when they left. They moved the panel about 6 feet to the left of where it was in my 106 year old basement. I saw them dig up part of the earth near my back deck to bury a grounding line. They got up on high ladders, and replaced and upgraded the entire service. I believe they were here for over 10 hours, and would not leave until everything was done and cleaned. I'm telling everyone: if you have an electrical problem, or some work that needs to get done, call Sub-City. Their service was phenomenal. They were responsive, and they do quality work. Not inexpensive, but trustworthy people. PS: I am still waiting on National Grid to come out and reinstall the meter! I need to call Lori.

Towlson responded quickly, and resolved the issue efficiently and affordably saving us a ton of headaches in the process. We have had them run preventative maintenance on the HVAC system a couple of times in the last five years. They've been able to keep our aged AC compressor running efficiently, saving us thousands in repair and replacement costs in the process. When we had a concern about the dehumidifying unit, they came out, made adjustments and corrected a potential issue quickly and cost effectively.
