When I went back to the property 3 days later I found out the electric had been shut off! Which in turn shut off our boilers for heat, and it was 40* in the house! When I called the electric company to get it turned back on the told me Twin City hadn't had their work inspected from the town so we could not get it turned back on. I called the owner Mike Friday and Saturday with NO response, finally on Sunday when I left and irate voicemail he called back and came to the house and said it was an oversight by his office... instead of appropriately fixing the problem, he ILLEGALLY cut off the lock out tag from National Grid, and asked us to keep it quiet. We had over $5500.00 in damages that our insurance claim denied because the service had been turned off due to the negligence of Mike Murphy and his company. While we were doing repairs and working with our insurance, Mr Murphy claimed it was his error, asked our deductible so he could cover it and said if insurance denied our claim he would work it out with us. Once we let him rectify the illegal work he did and get the town inspection, we never heard from him again. Our attorney sent him a letter with the charges and he is now claiming WE were responsible for the inspection! I understand it was an oversight not to get the inspection done, but it was his responsibility and that caused major damage at our property! He is untruthful, unethical, and we will be moving forward with a lawsuit. I hope his conscious will kick in and he will rectify the situation!

For a recent project I had called ten different companies, four called me back, three gave me quotes, one quote was insanely expensive for a simple job. The other was very cheap, yet day by day, "oh, we got busy see you tomorrow." Ummmmm. No. I work. Twin City gave me an estimate, when they said they would. Cost was more than reasonable and the crew came on time and was more than personable. Great owner and company.

Bought them lunch. They didn't finish that day because of a bunch of reasons he told me (over sharers are normally lying). He is a squirrelly guy, lacks eye contact. So he tells me he needs more money to finish the job because it was more than he thought. When they come back the following day, I asked him to show me what was more than he thought. He freaks out storms out the house leaving some of his tools lol. Later texts me threats that I should be careful. I still have his tools they work great. Thanks Eric. You going to threaten the wrong guy and they going to go on the offensive one of these days. The next electrician, I hired new Eric, and he said that he used to bully people at another company he worked at and then he was a hot head. Called Jay at JRK Electric. He came right out and looked at the line on the house and determined it had to be replaced. Promised to come back because he. Ended to pick up supplies to do job. And he showed up next day in miserable snow storm and replaced everything back to circuit box. That also needed to be replaced. This guy got so sick working out in that storm that he couldn't come back for a few days. He did and finished the . Very polite, great sense of humor, reasonably priced. And 4 weeks later still texting me to see if everything ok. Still flickering so called NYSEG again and guess what ? Their line was also involved in the problem. Go figure!! Despite numerous calls to initiate the job and 5 months later he has put off the job and no return on the deposit with I phoned and left him a message to say I will find some other electrician to do the job.This is not any way to do business, and very irresponsible.

After calling him, he was responsive in getting me a quote. Although it took about a month until he had availability to do the job, once it came time to do the job, he was professional and very communicative. A joy to work with as a contractor. He also got a permit and did everything by the book and had very reasonable pricing. In my case, I had a 220 line he had to run and a small outside light to install. All in all, I'm very happy with his work.
