EDIT: I want to make sure I respond to this since the owner has the audacity to try to downplay the situation. Mind you they charge you $85 including tax just to receive your overpriced quote. Send me my money back and I will gladly remove my review. But anyways, in terms of your "warranty" it was clearly stated on the estimate that labor and installation were not included. And in response to "customer provided her own materials" that is because I was told multiple, multiple times that I had to because you didn't stock those items on the truck. Again, what you're doing is not good business, it is taking advantage of people who unfortunately do not know any better. I digress. Will completely price gouge you and charge obscene amounts of money and extra fees in their quotes. I would not recommend and not have them do any work. Save yourself THOUSANDS by having someone else do the work for you. Also nothing is warrantied including labor. A huge waste of time. read more

Josh and an apprentice came out to change some circuit boxes at my dad's house. He only got 2 done, then had to run to another call so he didn't finish the job.... Good thing! He charged my dad $500 to change 2 circuits! Way overpriced for the work. Not going to call them to finish the job. one star is being generous! read more

Called Mike for an emergency appointment. Only electrician available on a Sunday in Hamburg. He is efficient, knowledgeable and professional. Yes, it was expensive but it was a serious issue that needed immediate attention and I do not want to cut corners or take chances with electrical work. Mike is a top electrician. read more

two electricians came to myhouse, identified thr faulty switch controlling the ceiling light in the garage and replaced it. ($10 part) They werew there less than a hour and charged me $340 read more

called to see if company repaired or replaced bathroom exshuast fans, was told yes and there is a charge for coming out, fine. 2 guys show up, look at the fan for a grand total of 3 seconds, without so much as a electrical tester, and tell me they will have to replace fan with a different type, claiming they couldnt get same fan,ok. they then tell me i can get a panasonic quiet wisper fan installed for just 1300.00!!! company is a total ripoff, wife looked up fan at Lowes, went for 280.00. i know companys need to make a profit, but come on man, you people seen to seniors and tryed to take advantage of them. i worked 40 yrs. in construction, i know what it takes to do that job. i would suggest to all people to run from this company!!! by the way i went on line and found the original fan at grainer for 130.00. again stay away from this company, unless you like getting taken for a ride. read more

Do not use this company. They are nothing but rip off artists. I had them come over for a simple breaker panel job and "Mike" told me it was going to be more involved. A $100 job turned into a $500 job according to him. I couldn't get these guys out of my house fast enough, and they charged me $85 for a service call. The technician was very nice, and prompt with service. I do thank him for his help in solving my service issue that I had. The price of the service call was also rolled into the estimate that he gave me for work, however the estimate was astronomical. I had another electrician come in a give me a quote and I was quoted for two services that were less than half and a quarter of Scherer's price respectively. I boooked an estimate for simple, common job. Confirmed appointment, got a call back 4 hours later informing they now charge $79 for an estimate. Asked, "If I go with you, does that go toward the bill?" Answer, "No, that's additional". Zero chance I'm giving them $79 just to tell me how much it will cost... Guess they're too busy for residential business. Found another company inside of 5 minutes eager to come out and give estimate for free. read more
