Not only was Howard half the price of a competitor from Anacortes, he had our bathroom counter installed and was back on the ferry within a week of our initial consultation/order. The quality of the workmanship was everything one would expect from a top notch reputable contractor and Howard's crew went so far to make an extra cut on a scrap piece of granite we found at Cattle Point Rock and Topsoil at no charge. We will use Howard, Mindy and Sun Kitchen and Bath again as well as pass along their names for anyone considering building or remodeling. He Just Blew Me Off For Five Months…read more I am a single woman looking to get my bathroom and bedroom remodeled. I called Dreamaker in early January wanting to set up an appointment to come out and give me an estimate. A man named Ron Faber called back and came to my house to evaluate the job then sent me an estimate on January 18th and I decided to hire this company to do the work. He said he would call next week but never did. When I emailed him on Feb 8th to see why there was a delay, he said one of his carpenters was out and apologized. He asked to come by and re-measure on February 12th which I agreed to then he made an appointment for me to come into the office and make decisions about what I wanted for hardware and cupboards and countertops on February 19th at 10:00 in the morning. When I got to the office, he was not there but I made the decisions with one of the women who work in the office anyway. On March 7th he emailed me that there was a fiberglass shortage and my remodel would be delayed until June. I thought that was weird but agreed to wait. On April 24th, I emailed him because I was trying to figure out my schedule for the coming months and he told me that actually, they would tentatively be able to start May 21st and he would call me next week. Next week came and went with no call and the week of May 21st came and went with no remodel. I emailed him on May 30 to tell him that I don't want to do business with him and his company because he is not a man of his word and I was obviously not a valued customer. I don't recommend Dreamaker for doing a remodel. Ron Faber just blew me off and I was stupid to waste five month of my life waiting for a company that obviously didn't value my business.

I would not recommend this company for bathroom remodels. This company was supposed to run our…read moreexisting hot and cold water lines to the new shower heads, build us a shower and set the tile. I had to let him go when I saw his tile work on half of the shower wall. Our hot and cold water lines were reversed. Our shower pan that they created had to be ripped out and replaced. The entry he created into our shower was less than 48 inches and as a result our glass door wouldn't fit. Our new contractor had to do the following: - replace the concrete shower pan and replace the shower. The drain wasn't level and the shower floor didn't have the proper slope to the drain. - add screws to the cement backer boards on the wall because the boards were not completely fastened to the wall. - cut back the wall that was created so the glass door would fit. - add more coats of Redgard to waterproof the shower area. The Whatcom Home Remodelers contractor will tell you he has over 30yrs experience every chance he gets, but his attention to detail is not what we expected for 30yrs of experience.
