My dryer quit working last week. I sought various reviews, starting first with Yelp. I saw in…read moresomeone's comment that Appliance Service Solutions works on LG appliances (a lot of service people don't). I called and a very professional woman answered and set me up for an appointment between 9 and 11 on Monday morning (5/11/20). Monday morning, at 10:45, Mike called to say their previous job ran long and wondered if 11:15 would be okay. I said, "Of course!" They arrived at 11:10. They were wearing masks and gloves. I have a full-size stacked washer and dryer; heavy, to say the least. They checked out my dryer thoroughly and determined it was fine, but they were concerned that my old circuit breaker may be having issues and recommended I wait to use it until I have an electrician out. I was SO grateful to find out my dryer is fine (because I'm actually in the midst of seling my condo). Their price was very reasonable for as long as they were here. I had expressed my concern about a possible fire and they were so thorough. I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend!

In terms of response time, knowledge, and practical advice, I do believe Appliance Service…read moreSolutions is a knowledgeable and reputable company. The technician was professional, clearly experienced, and identified a legitimate issue with my refrigerator that I was not previously aware of. That said, I will not be moving forward with additional services because of my experience with pricing transparency. I originally scheduled service for a dishwasher diagnostic. Over the phone, I was quoted approximately $150-$165 for the dishwasher diagnostic, not including any additional parts or labor if repairs were needed. While the dishwasher diagnostic cycle was running, the technician began discussing Samsung appliances with me and mentioned that my refrigerator model may have a common issue. He asked if I minded him taking a quick look at it while he was waiting on the dishwasher cycle. My understanding from the conversation was that this was a quick courtesy look while time was already passing during the dishwasher diagnostic. I agreed. He briefly inspected the refrigerator, pointed out ice buildup, checked the temperature, and explained the likely issue and what the repair would cost. I appreciated the information, and I do believe he correctly identified a problem that may need attention. The issue came at the end of the visit when my final bill was just over $250. When I asked about the difference from the original dishwasher diagnostic quote, I was told the additional amount was because he looked at the refrigerator. My concern is not that the refrigerator inspection had value. It did. My concern is that I was not clearly told beforehand that looking at the refrigerator would be an additional diagnostic charge. Had I been told, "I can take a look at the refrigerator too, but it will be an additional charge," I likely would have approved it. The problem is that the way it was presented -- as something being done quickly while waiting on the dishwasher cycle -- made it feel like a courtesy or part of the same visit. Overall, I think this company knows appliances and appears capable. However, based on my experience, I would recommend confirming all charges in writing before agreeing to have them look at anything beyond the original appliance you scheduled service for. Clearer upfront communication about additional diagnostic fees would have made this a much better experience. For anyone wondering why I chose two stars: Yelp labels two stars as "could've been better," and that accurately reflects my opinion of this experience. The technician seemed knowledgeable, and I do think the company is capable, but the pricing communication could have been much clearer. That is ultimately why I feel two stars is warranted.

I HATE cold water and didn't plan on using the cold plunge other than to throw a leg in there maybe ..(it was for my husband). If you think voluntarily putting your body in a tub of cold water and ice sounds a bit crazy, google "benefits of ice bath " "cold plunge" At this point we are both using the ice bath daily. I know, shocker right?!!! Why? Because the results are incredible! To name a few, it speeds up muscle recovery after a workout, decreases inflammation, improves mood and the list goes on and on. The sauna is also amazing! We ended up getting a 3 person Finnleo infrared (used by 2 of us) and so glad we did this! We would not have been comfortable in the 2 person model. Some of the sauna benefits we have been experiencing are improved circulation, better sleep, recover better from Soreness and stiffness after workouts.. and more! Thanks again to Debbie, she held our hand every step of the way and is always happy to share her knowledge/personal experience.

When it needed a new cover we ordered one from the renamed business. We were told to expect 6-8 weeks wait. It took almost double that because it sat in their warehouse unlabeled. Then the first installer couldn't figure out how to do it so another delay. I tried to finish paying the second installer but he had no invoice and the office would send one. A few days later I got an accusatory call asking why we hadn't paid the bill. After a tense exchange he finally agreed to send an itemized bill. He seemed to think i should pay whatever amount he threw out. They have lost my business permanently.

Once again this Ace Hardware failed to help and treat customers with respect. I reviewed this store…read moreover one year ago and it's still the same crappy store with crappy unhappy and mean staff. Nobody seems happy to be there and it's a hassle for them to assist you. At all cost, stay away from this store and travel to Lynden or even Bellingham Ace Hardware. You will be much happier. Sorry Ferndale Ace Hardware, your store just sucks.

Finally, Anne, the older woman, moved away from the register to go put something away and looked right at me, but didnt offer to help or get someone to help. Finally, I asked if someone could help me get some paint and Anne, in a condescending, syrupy sweet voice said "We'll get someone right over to help you!" She's always like this-rude and condescending to the women, but oh so nice to the men. Its pathetic. Later, as I was paying for my items and my coupon didnt work, Anne came over to help the cashier and said "we're just having one of those days" while giving me a dirty look. Every time I'm in there, she acts like its a personal insult to have to help anyone. Just retire already. While I was waiting, I saw no less than six people working at the store on a Tuesday afternoon, so if any employees actually cared to help out, it would be a well-staffed store. Instead its just a bunch of paid dead weight. There's an older gentleman there, I believe his name is Martin, who is wonderful-very helpful and knowledgeable, but the rest of the staff is miserable. Given the multiple reviews over a span of years about the same issue, its clear that the manager and owner dont care, so now I drive all the way out to Lynden and support that well stocked store and kind and knowledgeable staff. Most of the staff at Lynden Ace are high schoolers but have much higher maturity levels than pissy old Anne.
