I have raved about these folks before and at the risk of becoming known as a "groupie", I need to give them more kudos. I called them regarding our very old but wonderful refrigerator, knowing it might be time for "last rites". Mike was able to fix the immediate problem temporarily. Our model has been discontinued for some time however, he was able to find replacement parts and will remain vigilant for parts we may need down the road. Our other appliances they have worked on in times past are still going strong and you can't beat that for value. On top of all of that they are terrific people. Use them - you won't regret it. read more

In terms of response time, knowledge, and practical advice, I do believe Appliance Service Solutions is a knowledgeable and reputable company. The technician was professional, clearly experienced, and identified a legitimate issue with my refrigerator that I was not previously aware of. That said, I will not be moving forward with additional services because of my experience with pricing transparency. I originally scheduled service for a dishwasher diagnostic. Over the phone, I was quoted approximately $150-$165 for the dishwasher diagnostic, not including any additional parts or labor if repairs were needed. While the dishwasher diagnostic cycle was running, the technician began discussing Samsung appliances with me and mentioned that my refrigerator model may have a common issue. He asked if I minded him taking a quick look at it while he was waiting on the dishwasher cycle. My understanding from the conversation was that this was a quick courtesy look while time was already passing during the dishwasher diagnostic. I agreed. He briefly inspected the refrigerator, pointed out ice buildup, checked the temperature, and explained the likely issue and what the repair would cost. I appreciated the information, and I do believe he correctly identified a problem that may need attention. The issue came at the end of the visit when my final bill was just over $250. When I asked about the difference from the original dishwasher diagnostic quote, I was told the additional amount was because he looked at the refrigerator. My concern is not that the refrigerator inspection had value. It did. My concern is that I was not clearly told beforehand that looking at the refrigerator would be an additional diagnostic charge. Had I been told, "I can take a look at the refrigerator too, but it will be an additional charge," I likely would have approved it. The problem is that the way it was presented -- as something being done quickly while waiting on the dishwasher cycle -- made it feel like a courtesy or part of the same visit. Overall, I think this company knows appliances and appears capable. However, based on my experience, I would recommend confirming all charges in writing before agreeing to have them look at anything beyond the original appliance you scheduled service for. Clearer upfront communication about additional diagnostic fees would have made this a much better experience. For anyone wondering why I chose two stars: Yelp labels two stars as "could've been better," and that accurately reflects my opinion of this experience. The technician seemed knowledgeable, and I do think the company is capable, but the pricing communication could have been much clearer. That is ultimately why I feel two stars is warranted. read more

I was given a service charge of $130, which I agreed to. the service person only looked at my dishwasher and determined a need for a part replacement. he never took anything out. only pulled it from the wall. then I was charged an extra $85 for his time. I said: "I thought that's what the service charge was for. he said it doesn't include his time. hmmm. never again. read more

Over $160 to walk in the house, and walk right back out. But that wasn't their fault, I turned off the refrigerator to defrost it, then my wife closed the doors and we left. When I returned for the appointment and opened the doors, it was full of, what else, mold. Definitely not their fault. So why not 5 star? Well the diagnostic charge quote didn't include tax, nor a definition of plus tax (which is another 8.8%), so in addition having to pay almost $150 for 30 seconds, I got slapped with even more. Again, not their fault, but a heads up of "plus tax" would have made it hurt less when in the moment I got the total amount I owed. When unexpected stuff like this happens, having the cost be even more than what is already racing through your head hurts. read more

Same day service. Very professional and got our issue fixed with our washing machine the same day. Will definitely use again and refer to friends and family. read more

Called in for service, waited 2 weeks, then when Mike TRIED to arrive using Apple maps. It lead him to the wrong place, not my fault. Rescheduled for 2 days later, gave Mike the right directions, told him Apple maps is not accurate. He ignored the basic directions, still went with Apple maps, got lost, then called to tell us to get someone else. We are 1/4 mile off of the major highway. Not that hard to follow directions when they are explicitly given. How extremely rude. read more

They have provided fast and reliable household appliance repairs. I've used them several times over the past several years and they have always provided quality service so that my appliances work like new. It's wonderful to have great technicians who are knowledgeable on fixing my appliances and will reach out to the manufacturer if needed. Thanks for your workmanship and honesty. read more

No transparency in billing. Unethical: diagnostic fee was to be waived if technician was to proceed with fixing the problem. Diagnostic fee was not waived. No itemized bill was given so customer has no idea. read more

Great service, very informative. Prices are fair. Had a pump replaced in a front load washer (laundry), then a followup call. Ended up being a sock that worked its way to block, not the filter, but all the way up in it, between the drum, I think? He also found that one of the ground wires wasn't grounded! All fixed, quite quickly. Would definitely recommend. If possible, fix instead of replace. read more

Mike came out and fixed my cloth dryer (July 2019). Scheduling (5 Stars): It was extremely easy to schedule an appointment. I think they have a designated person who answers phone calls and schedule appointments. Service (5 Stars): Mike arrived within the time window. He also called me several minutes before his arrival. He was able to fix my dryer. He also replaced the duct because it was not even connected! Pricing (4 Stars): If I'm not mistaken, they charge $95 for a service call. Their hourly rate is somewhere around $85. I would not say it's unreasonable, but their rate is on the higher side. Recommendation I will definitely use them again, and I highly recommend them. When something breaks down, the last thing we need is a company that may or may not show up. It's easy to schedule appointments, and these guys are reliable. They do show up and they show up when they say they will. They are upfront about their fees (if you ask). ***************************** If you found something useful in my review, please hit "useful" to let me know. My dryer quit working last week. I sought various reviews, starting first with Yelp. I saw in someone's comment that Appliance Service Solutions works on LG appliances (a lot of service people don't). I called and a very professional woman answered and set me up for an appointment between 9 and 11 on Monday morning (5/11/20). Monday morning, at 10:45, Mike called to say their previous job ran long and wondered if 11:15 would be okay. I said, "Of course!" They arrived at 11:10. They were wearing masks and gloves. I have a full-size stacked washer and dryer; heavy, to say the least. They checked out my dryer thoroughly and determined it was fine, but they were concerned that my old circuit breaker may be having issues and recommended I wait to use it until I have an electrician out. I was SO grateful to find out my dryer is fine (because I'm actually in the midst of seling my condo). Their price was very reasonable for as long as they were here. I had expressed my concern about a possible fire and they were so thorough. I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend! read more

We had fast and very professional service. Paul diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and was back to repair the problem with our dishwasher in a very timely manner. He called prior to his arrival and did the job efficiently and cleanly. He even showed us the problem with the old part and how he would be fixing the machine. Great doing business with Appliance Solutions! read more

The Samsung refrigerator in our motor home died. As full time RV-ers, we had extreme difficulty finding someone who was qualified to work on the sealed system AND who would work on an appliance in a motor home. Since replacing the refrigerator required removal of a front window, repair was our only practical option. Mike is our hero. He helped us unbolt and move out the fridge (not an easy task) and diagnosed the problem (failed compressor). Miraculously he was able to locate the required parts and returned to make the repair during our scheduled 4 week stay. We didn't even have to modify our travel plans. Mike really came through for us. Very capable, and a really nice guy. Highly recommend. read more

Good service overall, no issues or complaints. The only thing keeping them from a 5 star is that I had to reach out to them for updates on parts and scheduling when they had to make a return visit. Both techs are very professional and nice guys. Not only did they fix what I called them out for, but saw a couple other issues that got solved, saving me time and heartache in the long run. I'd recommend them if you're ever in need! read more

I am very pleased with the efficiency of communication and scheduling with this business. The repairman was very polite and he did a great job of explaining things, including suggesting that the machine I have is good quality and his advice was to repair it. My refrigerator stopped dispensing water and the ice maker started making strange sounds. I decided to try this company based on past reviews. They were very efficient every step of the way. Professional. Diagnosed issue quickly and repaired on the spot (fridge). Other issue required a new ice maker, had to order part. They were able to get me in quickly and not having to wait a week out for service, like most other techs. Would use them again. read more

Igor is the business owner and technician. He is professional, knowledgeable, and truly cares about his clients. I have a Samsung residential refrigerator in my motorhome. Calling around, I couldn't find anyone who would even look at a Samsung. I contacted Samsung and they don't even have a warranty person in the Seattle/Bellingham area. Anyhow, I was lucky enough to stumble upon Appliance Services Solution. Igor was happy to meet me, was happy to work on a Samsung fridge, and was undeterred that it was in an RV. He had to order some parts for the repair, but the follow-up and scheduling went well. He is a hard working and talented technician whom I recommend highly. read more
