    Tim came out and quickly diagnosed and fixed our stove. Honest, fair pricing, and a nice guy. I'd definitely use Siebert's again.

I saw in…read moresomeone's comment that Appliance Service Solutions works on LG appliances (a lot of service people don't). I called and a very professional woman answered and set me up for an appointment between 9 and 11 on Monday morning (5/11/20). Monday morning, at 10:45, Mike called to say their previous job ran long and wondered if 11:15 would be okay. I said, "Of course!" They arrived at 11:10. They were wearing masks and gloves. I have a full-size stacked washer and dryer; heavy, to say the least. They checked out my dryer thoroughly and determined it was fine, but they were concerned that my old circuit breaker may be having issues and recommended I wait to use it until I have an electrician out. I was SO grateful to find out my dryer is fine (because I'm actually in the midst of seling my condo). Their price was very reasonable for as long as they were here. I had expressed my concern about a possible fire and they were so thorough. I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend!

When I returned for the appointment and opened the doors, it was full of, what else, mold. Definitely not their fault. So why not 5 star? Well the diagnostic charge quote didn't include tax, nor a definition of plus tax (which is another 8.8%), so in addition having to pay almost $150 for 30 seconds, I got slapped with even more. Again, not their fault, but a heads up of "plus tax" would have made it hurt less when in the moment I got the total amount I owed. When unexpected stuff like this happens, having the cost be even more than what is already racing through your head hurts.

Our brand-new Sharp undercounter, drawer convection/microwave unit stopped working a few months ago. We are hosting 12 guests this Thanksgiving, so having a functional microwave is critical for our hosting event. When I first consulted Angi's List for vetted/trusted appliance repair companies in the local area, all I got was ridiculously over-priced estimates from national repair firms ($800+ estimate) I'm a big believer in supporting local businesses. So I found Skagit-Island Appliance Repair via Google. My first attempt to schedule a home visit to assess -- and hopefully fix -- my microwave, was made via their website on November 2, 2024. After getting no response to my web request, I called their posted phone number 3 days later. The voicemail message informed me that they were closed (not sure why) until November18th. OK... so I waited patiently for another 2 weeks. WIth Thanksgiving just over a week away, I was getting anxious. Another call that went to VM (again) and an unanswered text message over the past 2 days, tells me that Scott is so overwhelmed with work that he cannot be bothered by new customer requests, is dealing with a personal emergency that doesn't allow him to respond to correspondence and communication requests, or simply has chosen to ignore repeated requests for service. So, having still not heard back, thats the reason for the BAD 1-star rating.
