I was lucky enough to have a friend drop off some Feng Cha for me a while back and recently ordered via DoorDash for pick up. Rose Oolong Milk Tea with Cheese Foam - Yum! Tea was excellent and the cheese foam was very tasty - like a lightly sweet cream cheese. Oolong Tea with Durian Foam - The oolong was very good as well. Durian foam was light in flavor and light in aftertaste as well. It was pleasant! Even a durian hater didn't think it was too bad lol. Dirty Boba - The hubs enjoyed this. A little too sugary in my opinion! I always get drinks at half sweet or even less and was satisfied with my drinks. A little pricey at upwards of $6.70 without toppings. Heard so much about this place missed out on their grand opening day which was last month. So I came by this afternoon wasn't too crowded only a few people waiting for their orders. Staff very friendly and attentive I had to asked if they still offer the 20% discount and they do. I chose D6 price at $5.50 for a large size cup which was fresh lemon black tea and I asked for 50% less sweetness along with garlic fries price at $6.50 large portions no skimping back. The cashier will give you the receipt and wait till they called out your number the only problem is that you can't hear them with the music blasting away not a good way to do business. Aside from that my wait was less than 15 minutes, but it was getting crowded as more people came in and the lines were out the door what happen to social distance there's hardly any room with so many people waiting for their drinks and food. They need to extend their hours and hope they succeed so support your local business. By the way the drink was so refreshing and the prices are in line with its competitors. There are alot of Boba spots in milpitas now! Alot of competition. I will say this about Feng Cha, it is the nicest looking boba spot right now! Decor and furniture looks really nice! I love what they did with the place. Makes me want to stay in there longer to do something. The drinks that i have gotten here are good, i enjoyed anything that has a cheese foam to it really. Went on a Friday night and while they were busy, our orders came out quickly. Ordered the jasmine tea and bursting dragonfruit. Cashier didn't ask for ice or sugar levels and we were too rushed that we forgot to mention it to them as we don't order drinks often. I should have tried the drinks before we left because they were so bitter! They must have put 0% sugar. As 100 percent is the recommended sugar level I thought they would put it as a default for customers who forget or weren't asked for sugar levels but I guess not. Lesson learned: make sure you mention it all before you pay and don't trust the cashier to remind you if you forget. The garlic fries were a huge chore to eat - they're the thick kind that starts to taste chalky with literally no garlic taste to it. My friend ordered the osmanthus oolong and was way too sweet at 75% and not sweet at all with 50%, so their drinks aren't exactly balanced. They're famous for their creme brulee tea, but you can get a better creme brulee milk tea at amazing basil on warm springs fremont or boba bliss in dublin/mountain view. I think I've tried feng cha before - maybe Berkeley. Glad it's making it's way down to the South Bay. I came during the soft opening a couple of times so they were having 20% off. I tried the strawberry overload, summer melon green tea, citrus lord, and the dirty boba. I was also able to try their boba, crystal boba, and lychee jelly, which were all great. I love the strawberry overload and like that they have so many strawberry bits in it. The tea flavor in the summer melon was strong. The citrus lord was very orange forward and I felt like I was getting lots of vitamin C. The dirty boba was also good - the carmelized topping was really yummy. You can adjust the sweetness and ice levels. Drinks are $6 without topping so the small discount is a good incentive. Also I got the princess cake, which was similar to the strawberry sponge cake, and the popcorn chicken - which I liked also, just a hint of spice. The popcorn chicken was crispy but it was SO Bland, there was no flavor to the chicken no salt, pepper or flavor. It was just like small chunks of chicken fried. I had to add in some sweet chili sauce for flavor to try to finish it. I ordered the Jasmine milk tea and the tea was like watered down milk. There was no Jasmine flavor and I ordered 80% sugar and it was not sweet at all not even a hint of sweetness. I couldn't finish the tea. Jasmine milk tea is the simplest tea any boba tea shop has and if you can't make this right then it's not worth going to try other drinks here. I've had the dirty boba milk tea, jasmine milk tea, and kiwi basil tea. They're all pretty tasty. You can't really go wrong here. I've also ordered the popcorn chicken and calamari. The chicken was fine the first time I had it. It could use more seasoning. However, the second time I ordered it, the chicken came in small pieces and most of the pieces had inedible cartilage bits. I know I didn't just pay for chicken I can't eat. The calamari was chewy. I've definitely had better chicken and calamari elsewhere.
