If I could leave zero stars today, I would. We had the absolute worst service today at Fenders. We waited over an hour for our food, which we are pretty sure the waitress just forgot to put in despite blaming it on the kitchen being so backed up in a restaurant that was neither full outside nor inside. After sitting there with empty drinks, waiting for our food to hopefully be delivered, we requested that it be given to us "to go" and over half the orders that we took home were wrong and flat out looked terrible. And after all that the bills were not even split correctly, but we were just so glad to finally get out of there we just went with it. read more

For years we have eaten here every time we rode through Cornelia. We stopped the last two trips and were so disappointed. No more 60's music. Food not as good. Name needs to be changed to Freddy's Restaurant because it certainly isn't a diner anymore. read more

We love this restaurant!!! The atmosphere is so much fun! It is decorated like a 50's diner and the food is amazing!!! The staff goes above and beyond. We had our fur babies with us and dined on the patio with awesome service. We did a to go ordered and our waitress still checked on us often to get us drinks or anything we needed!!! Never got our food and we sat and waited for over an hour and 1/2!!! After waiting for over an hour we decided to call it a day. We told our server that we would like to cancel our order due to the long wait and he was unapologetic and could care less about any inconvenience they could has caused us. Then along came the manager who's only want to make sure we paid for the beer and the appetizers side know , I don't think they even started our food so when we decided to leave they could care lest. It is a great location and they are nice people but the service is some of the worst you will ever experience.

I like Fenders but I want to love it! I've had great smash burgers and not great smash burgers. The quesadilla was very greasy and shouldn't be at all. I cannot wait to go back to Fenders diner. The deviled egg appetizer was delicious. I recreated them at home. The chicken and Mac and cheese waffles were so good with the melted cheese. This little gem was worth the extra 5 minutes driving past the boring places. My breakfast was phenomenal. Service was spot on- genuine & warm. Whitney was extremely friendly & we chatted about kids. I was solo while traveling & they made me feel very comfortable and welcome. But is a good family/kid place as well. I love this little diner! It simply takes you back in time. The menu has been changed from previous visits but it still didn't disappoint. The Nashville Sammy was seriously the best thing I've had in awhile. The staff was amazing following all COVID-19 policies (all staff wearing masked and tables were sat every other). I always love a good malt chocolate milkshake it was so good! I can't wait to visit again. It's definitely a go to stop on the way to North Georgia! read more

We went for Sunday brunch. Our server was great but the food was not. Took an hour after ordering to get the food. The over easy eggs were way overcooked. The bacon was undercooked. The biscuits were hard as a rock and the gravy was more like gelatin with no flavor. They were out of French toast which I don't even know how because all it is egg and bread. read more

My family and myself decided to take my 88 Year old grandmother out to eat last night and we decided to go to Fenders. We expected to have a nice meal, but once we got to Fenders it turned out to be a huge disaster. We started with Mac N Cheese bites, which were good, but the order consisted of five tiny 1" x 1" x 1" cubes with a cup of ranch. Honestly it wasn't worth much more than $3, but the appetizer was $9. Then we ordered our meals, waited an hour for them to arrive and when we finally got them, the food was horrible! My grandmother ordered fish and chips, which consisted of 1 piece of fried fish that you could tell was old and was half the size of a piece of fish from Captain D's. The waiter even agreed that the fish wasn't fit to eat and brought another piece which wasn't any better. Then my aunt, who is Vegan, ordered a grilled cheese, bit into it and it had a beef patty in it. Both tables beside us complained about their food too and were as disgusted as us. Needless to say we took my grandmother to Captain D's after we left and will never set back foot in Fenders again. read more

First I need to say this is not the Fenders I remember. There are no longer the hamburger steaks and cubed steak. The menu is updated. The food was good but it focused more on quick food like $12+ dollar hamburgers and fajitas. It also had salads. The place still has the 50' motif but has been updated. They now serve alcohol also. They also have an outdoor area in the alley. There was music in the Alley but they stop early. The restaurant closes at 9 or 10 pm.They must be doing something right. They were doing a lot of business. Since we are from out of town we probably visit once a year. Glad we stopped by. Wish them luck with their update. read more

This is an old school diner with a cool atmosphere. There is a phone booth outside which my kids thought was cool. Of course they have a juke box inside. The food was normal but really good, burgers, country fried steak, sandwiches, things like that. The onion rings were really great and so were the desserts. What a fun place! Oldies playing, seating is just like a fifties diner. They have a good selection on the menu and specials everyday. I had the chicken tenders with buffalo sauce on the side. They macaroni and cheese wasn't creamy but they had good flavor. Mark had a quesadilla. It was huge and he couldn't finish it. I didn't have them but they have fried green tomatoes and fried mushrooms. The burgers are half pound each. They also have awesome desserts, shakes, even banana splits! The service was good, place is clean, family friendly. Closed on Sundays. A very enjoyable meal. read more

Poor quality food and unapologetic poor service. I understand that there are short-staffing issues everywhere, but a smile and an acknowledgement of it from the staff would've been nice. There were two servers and one young guy running plates, and nobody really seemed to know who was taking care of what table and the place was SLAMMED. I can accept the slow service, but when our meals finally arrived, the portioning and quality was laughable. A side of green beans was a ramekin with 8 green bean halves (like the cut kind from a can) in it for $4. An order of "Fenders Tenders" were the saddest slivers of chicken and a handful of fries that tasted like they leapt from the freezer to the fryer and then liberally sprinkled in Lawrys seasoning salt. One of my kids had the children's pancakes (kids meal indicated that entrees included drink, a side and ice cream) - the side she chose was bacon (burnt), and the ice cream never came. My partner had a burger that was, in his words "meh, fine." We stopped in here on the last leg of a weekend away at a cabin, and sadly it was a pretty bad experience. read more

We've given this restaurant a chance twice and both times were a complete disappointment. The first time the food was terrible and small portions for a high price. The service was slow even though it was not crowded. Today we took the grandkids there for ice cream treats. Took 10 minutes for someone to take our order of a scoop of ice cream, milk shake and Reeses sundae and another 30 minutes to get it and the scoop of ice cream was so melted that when I scooped it with my fork (they didnt provide a spoon) the melted cream spilled over the edge everywhere because they serve it in a TINY bowl. Again, the place was not busy at all. The place is so cute and the outdoor area is super nice. Sad that the food and service is not good. read more
